Bearing false witness is not lying to protect another from capture like with Jews hunting the Nazis in world war II. People who say the Jews should have turned in their friends whom they were hiding don't know their Bible. Bearing false witness has to do with a very specific court testimony where you are making an accusation against your neighbor. You are to obey oaths you sware to God. The solution to falsely swaring to God is not to refuse to sware at all, like the Jehovah's Witnesses, the solution is to Sware Truthfully. If any President of witness before congress refuses to put himself under oath and be sworn in, he is a coward and shouldn't be listened to.
Taking the Lord's name in vain is not uttering an occasional Hell of Damn but rather invoking God's name in a vain pursuit as the Christians do. Taking the Lord's name in vain is uttering a false prophecy and having it fail. Taking the Lord's name in vain is doing or saying anything in God's name that you can't perfonally back up with proof.
Adultry presupposes there is some "thing" to adulterate. Marriage can be adulterated. A single person dating another single person can not be said to be in sin because he is not under any contract not to do the thing he is being accused of. You can't be unfailthful to something which does not exist. "Pre-marital sex" is not a phraise pro or con used in the Bible.
You can covet more than your neighbor's posessions. You can covet your neighbor's God if he is prospering as a Christian and you aren't doing well at the moment as a non Christians. You can covet your neighbor's "peace of mind" which is not yours, any more than his wife or his car is yours to covet. Neither is his relations with his own god "yours" to covet.
Nowhere or in no matter is it implied that the Sabbath is null and void for Christians. Indeed all of God's law is a "perpetual covenent" and the rule is there for a reason.
And God spake all these words, saying, |
I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. |
Thou shalt have no other gods before me. |
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: |
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; |
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. |
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. |
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. |
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: |
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: |
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. |
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. |
Thou shalt not kill. |
Thou shalt not commit adultery. |
Thou shalt not steal. |
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. |
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. |
1 : | Now these are the judgments which thou shalt set before them.
2 : | If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.
3 : | If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.
4 : | If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself.
5 : | And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:
6 : | Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.
7 : | And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.
8 : | If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
9 : | And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.
10 : | If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.
11 : | And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money.
12 : | He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.
13 : | And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.
14 : | But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.
15 : | And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
16 : | And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.
17 : | And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
18 : | And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed:
19 : | If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.
20 : | And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.
21 : | Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.
22 : | If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
23 : | And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,
24 : | Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
25 : | Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
26 : | And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake.
27 : | And if he smite out his manservant's tooth, or his maidservant's tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth's sake.
28 : | If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit.
29 : | But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.
30 : | If there be laid on him a sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him.
31 : | Whether he have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him.
32 : | If the ox shall push a manservant or a maidservant; he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.
33 : | And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein;
34 : | The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.
35 : | And if one man's ox hurt another's, that he die; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money of it; and the dead ox also they shall divide.
36 : | Or if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own.

Allright for you people logging in mid day Monday May 1st. we just got done with an expository evaluation of The Ten Commandments. In case you are wondering this blog originates in the Los Angeles area. Wasn't that LA Lakers game something yesterday? The game was just barely tied at the last minute to send the game into overtime and then won at the last minute by one point. Now the LA Lakers are up three games to one over the dreaded Phoenix Suns. If the Lakers can get past the Suns there's no reason why they don't have a good shot of going all the way. As you know today is May first. Law day. And so in the post I haven't written yet I thought it appropiate to talk about what ethical principles I was guided by. Of course May first has been a "workers" day. It started off as a pagen Witch's Sabbath, one of which occurred four times a year in the middle of each of the four seasons. The Russians appropiated this celebration as a holiday. One Jew asked another back during World War II "When will Adolph Hitler be killed" and the other Jews said, "I won't know exactly, but I know it will be on a Jewish holiday" and the other man said, "How so?" and the first said "Any day Hitler is killed will be a Jewish holiday". Almost.
I thought of setting up a blog called "Impeachment Watch". It seems as if George Bush is getting himself deeper and deeper all the time. KTLK is running these adds for "The Nation" and saying if you were too young to miss Watergate this time you can get in on the ground floor. You can download their articles of impeachment on the internet. I'd do it for you now but I don't want to get kicked off this blog site for copyright violations. Today Al Frankin on 1150 is doing a personality comparrison between Franklin Roosevelt and George Bush. Of course AM 1150 can be accessed on the internet. Do a Google search for KTLK 1150 AM. If you watch FOX comedies like the Simpsons and Family Guy, you know the liberals are on the run. Of course today in LA is a day of demonstration activity for the Mexican race. I have no position on that one day or the other. But I do think Bush's immigration bill is probably the best thing they're going to get as to "being legal" is concerned. They should grab the deal.

Back in early 1988 I had another of my famous dreams. This one was a dream about Judas. I dreamed I was Judas and that the date of Christ's crusifiction was the Hebrew first of Elul, or their six month, which occurs sometime in August of each year. It is said to be the beginning of the forty "days of awe" when they blow the choffar (sp?) every day for forty dayd. When Moses first went up to Mt. Sinai it was "pentacost". When he came down it was on the seventeenth of Tammuz, which is in July, when he broke the tablets. On the first of Elul Moses again ascended the Holy Mount and came back down on Yom Kippur, 40 days later with the unbroken tablets. As you know the forty days Moses was first on the mount it was Party Time down below. If Jesus was the 2nd. Moses then the first of Elul date makes a little sense. This would be on a new moon where it would at least be possible to have a total ecclipse. This just might explain the three hours of darkness of Christ on the cross. However none of the other things took place such as the curtain of the temple in Jerusalem being torn in two- - didn't happen. In this dream I as Judas regretted the betrayal of Jesus almost from the moment I did it. I hoped Jesus wouldn't be killed. I remembered not being to find out any information but there were only roomers. St. Peter came and told me a day or so later, perhaps the same day that Jesus would appear to all of the desciples in two weeks on the next full moon. I think Joseph of Arithmea or someone told Peter. I waited out the period anxiously and I kept hearing roomers he'd put in an appearence, but it never happened and gradually the apostles one by one lost interest. I remember being in a cave being up all night and looking out to the west seeing the past full moon in the early morning sky. I remember thinking of my mother, whom I had been mailing money to out of the money purse, and I believe I was composing one last letter to her. I remember crying out to God in anguish how God could allow this thing to happen but my thoughts were of suicide and something that I had to do.
A Rock and Roll interlude. If the compilation on the last blog begins climbing up the charts, after a while we'll release another from the Federation and I have this perfect follow-up in mind. It was compiled in late September 2004 and it is drawn from songs in a narrow eight year period from 1970 to 1978 when the songs were the most prolific.

It occurred to me that if you don't have truth, everything else you say will lose credibility. Yesterday on "Breakfast with the Beatles" the DJ was insensed at hoe bogus a certain seance to reach John Lennon was. For you new people my position on the dead is this. I believe that the "soul" or self as we know it is mortal and "passes" with the both out of existance. However I, like the Greeks believe that ideas have a reality of their own. And that includes the ideas of people, their values and what they stand for. As such I believe that the dead can be contacted in a matter of fashion. In the seance John asked about Sean but not Julian. For those who know John this is one major "blind spot" or flaw in his personality. He likes to pretend his son with Cynthia doesn't exist. He never really acknoledged him when he was alive and now that he's dead nothing in changed. "John" in the seance did say one thing I definitely take issue with. He said that the afterlife is "anything you want it to be". Not if it includes Yoco it doesn't. Yoco isn't there. In a lot of the "Messages" I get from the dead, couples, or for that matter, mothers and sons, ect. are not together. I only say this because there is one big truth, "What you are is what you are". I say this because people picture themselves "getting saved" and "something positive transforms their very nature" so that their after life is now vastly improved from what it would otherwise be. Think about this and how little sense it makes. They say you are in "heaven" or are in "hell" for an eternity all because you said "Deal" or "No Deal" to the offer of Jesus of eternal salvation, as if Jesus personally came up and offered it to you. If you think about it a block of wood- - - a wood carving as as much "credential" to be "alive" in the afterlife as a human being does. How long is eternity. In the twelve billion years of the Universe and all the time to come till the universe is destroyed- - - not one second will have ticked off the clock of eternity. After all for life to take place something has to be going on. Cells are dividing and growing and nutrition is being matabalized. This all takes place in time, and with eternity, there is no time. As such it is positively absurd to say "as of March 24th. 1976 I knew I was going to heaven". The date "March 24th. means nothing in eternity. The mormons say that when you die the life you had before birth and your memory of it will be restored to you. This makes more sense than what the fundamentalists say. Eternity has no end and no beginning and doesn't even ralate to time. So you can't say something like "In early March of 1986 John Smith sealed his fate for all eternity and is now going to hell". Eternity doesn't know "1986" or any other date or year. As such "worrying about eternity" is even sillier than worrying about using your outdoor grill causing global warming. Think about it.
There is a book I've been reading the past few days called "Destined for Salvation" and it is subtitled "God's plan to save everyone". Scripture says Jesus' blood is sufficient to save the whole world. It is also stated "God's will is that everyone come to knowledge of Him". You know there used to be a song, "What ever Lola wants, Lola gets". Is not God greater than some woman trying to seduce a man younger than herself in a baseball stadium locker? Two words really not in God's vocabularly are "want" and "wait". For God words are things. If he says it, it happens. And yet we are told- - "Christ died only for the sins of the elect". How do you get "elect". Saint Paul tells you that nobody can come to God unless the Holy Spirit draws him. There is also another doctrine called "total depravity". This translates as follows: Human kind is unable to make a moral decision on anything- and that includes a decision to "save himself". Jesus Christ on KFI has stated, "It is an insult to say that Christ didn't do it all on the cross". If this be so, that Christ "did it all" on the cross than Praise the Lord, it's done! God came to save the world- - and God is sovreign so vualah- - the world must ipso facto be saved. The book Destined for Salvation also speaks of 'Irrestable Grace". This doctrine is not original with this book. John Calvin taught that "those who are meant to be saved, will be saved". (Selah)
The book went on to talk about Justinian. This guy wasn't a nice fellow. He is said to be the "last Roman Emperor". He became emperor in 425 or something and reigned for forty years to become an old man and died in 465 or something. It is said he unified the Roman law codes in a way they never had been done before. But he was also tyranical. I've heard that the library in Alexandria in Egypt was burned down under his reign. He snuffed out any native worship of the classical Greek Gods. He also made Christians fight in the army for the first time. Gone was the Christian belief in pacifism. He set a lot of bad precidents. There were still a lot of people in the Catholic church that believed in Universal salvation for all prior to Justinian. But Judtinian rooted them out and eliminated them. Origen and many other theologians in earlier centuries believed in universal salvation. There was a web site I logged into that quoted mountains of scripture in the old testament where "going to Hell" was not listed as a punishment.
Mark Twain was said to have rejected God because God created Hell and also caused innocent children to suffer. I had always thought Mark Twane was a Christian. The book states that many are driven away from God because they cannot reconsile God being all powerful and all good and at the same time allowing Evil to win such a massive victory. (Selah)
