Dealing with Influential People

You know there are ways a politician can disassociate from someone.  Let’s just go back to the Beatles for a case of how in my opinion it SHOULD be done.  Neil Asphenal was having sex with Mona Best, Pete Best’s mother and fathered a child by her.  But when the Beatles got a signed contract with George Martin- - Neil wanted to leave the Beatles out of loyalty to Pete for being sacked by the Beatles.  But Pete convinced Neil to stay on with the Beatles as a group that was “going places”.  So Neil broke off the relation with Mona Best.  There was no public blow up or anything and they didn’t call a press conference of the London Times to announce that Neil was no longer having sex with Mona Best.  And if I were running for President in 2016, on an anti gay marriage platform- - as someone who wanted to preserve what was left of heterosexual only marriage- - I’d have an image to live up to.  And if I found out that one of my contributers was Gay- - I could come to him confidentially and say “You need to know that your money has no influence on me what so ever.  But I would just say to ask yourself one question.  Would you find it more likely that I would reverse my position on gay marriage- or that my republican, Michelle Bachman would reverse her opinion on gay marriage?  I have often made the reference to that story of L Ron Hubbard and the Fire Truck and the dogs.  And I only wish Jesus had paid heed to that little tale before shooting his mouth off on a lot of subjects.  Sometimes the worst thing you can do when you “disassociate” yourself you don’t feel comfortable with- - is to hold a major press conference and Dis them publically.  All that says about you is that you’re a major league Flake.  First you’re for them- then you’re against them.  But Democrats are in love with “eating their own” and forming a circular firing squad - - or whatever other metaphor you pick.  Take a look at what President Obama did with Rev Jeremiah Wright.  Can you sit there and tell me that the Right has been any KINDER to President Obama, or withheld one verbal invective because President Obama did his own “Apology Tour” by “Apologising’ for being a part of Jeremiah Wright’s congregation for twenty years?  The President gains nothing by kissing up to the right wing.  Now in addition to everything else negative they believe about him - - they also think that he’s a major whoos, and a flake.  (Selah)

We sent John Kerry to North Korea because this guy was a pain in the ass,  Kim Jung Oom - - who needed to be publicly repermanded and “put in his place’ once more.  As Winston Churchill has been oft quoted lately “a verbal war is better than a shooting war- - any day”.    Now we come to Moe Kelly.  The thing to remember about Moe Kelly is that he’s also got a show on KFI across the aisle- and Lord knows what he’s saying on that show.   It would be interesting to see what he says on KFI as opposed to what he says on KTLK.  Anyhow today was a case of pointing the finger at something that only He saw before- - but now he wants to draw attention to it.  Moe Kelly is all upset because President Obama gets support from people like LL Cool J and JZ and Biancee.  Apparently their music is “missagenistic” and JZ wants to flood the whole LA ghetto with cheap Dope.  Oh you mean like Oliver North and the CIA did in 1986 with Crack Cocaine?  No wait a minute- - that Actually Happened.  It wasn’t just a line in a rap song.  Perhaps Moe didn’t know Republicans weren’t perfect.  I’ve heard this wild unsubstianted roomer they actually ran a Mormon for President in 2012 and that the leader of the House, Paul Ryan’s favorite reading material is Ayan Rand.  Perhaps it’s just a roomer started by Mike Meloty and Ryan should sue.   - - - Do you see where I’m going with this?  I’m illustrating absurdity by being absurd.  But you know I thought, “After ten o clock I’m switching to Rush Limbaugh to hear what he says on all this”.  The thing is- - a lot of the things Moe Kelly gets hot and bothered about isn’t even news.  He’s just venting to fill up the hour.  I noted that he did not dare open up the phone lines for so much as one caller.  I thought the job specification was “call in radio”.  Anyhow Rush Limbaugh was much more informative.  Rush was raising funds for all sorts of blood cancer.  This includes lymphatic cancer- - both Hodgekins and the non Hodgekins varieties- - and Lukemia proper- and also plasma cancer.  Rush points out that plasma cancer has the worst prognosis of any of these.  Rush listed all the figures for survival prognosis past and present.  While progress is being made- - we haven’t advanced nearly far enough.  Rush did get in a few little barbs about gun control.  I see we are on page six now, which surprises me.  Rush is against ANY form of gun legislation.  “They say they want one thing- - but you know these democrats aren’t going to quit until they have abolished the second amendment”.  I’ll hand it to Rush- - he’s a man at least who comes right out and says what he’s thinking.  (Unlike Moe)

Here’s a news flash.  Women who give up their bras end up with “perkier” breasts, because certain breast muscles atrophy when they wear a bra.  OK.  Let’s talk about Randi Rhodes, who looks good with or without a bra.  She talked about literal “killer amendments” to the gun bill that was just introduced.  For instance they want states with non existant concealed gun carry laws- - to apply to a destination state if you happen to be traveling there.  That way a potential assassin can have a whole day to scope out and execute his plan and take out his target, and I don’t mean – to dinner.   It’s clear from statements John Boehner and others have made that this already gutted and loophole ridden Democratic gun proposal- - won’t get through the House.   Randy Rhodes quoted Ronald Reagan in the gun legislation area with a clip:  “Guns are fine for hunters or for home protection, but you don’t need an Ad 47 to do that”.  On the subject of immigration Ronald Reagan expressly said that amnesty was needed “Because these people are in the country now and have roots here and are here through no fault of their own”.  And he also said “We need to make these aliens full citizens so that they can’t be exploited by shady employers who pay them only a pittance of what they deserve- but the employees are afraid to report it”.  A whole lot of people, including me, have made this same argument.  There was a lot of quoting (audio) of various “apologists” for gay bashing claiming that they are the ones who are “persecuted” because they are being denied the civil liberty of calling them fags, or whatever.  And they spoke of homosexuality as injurious as a substance abuse problem, where an “intervention” is truly the “Christian thing” to do.  And there was a debate in the Montana Legislature where they finally managed to eliminate their sodomy laws.  Sex was likened to a “ball point pen” where the writing the pen does is the Primary function, but the fact that the pen retracts so you can put it back in your pocket and not leave a stain- - this is a secondary purpose.  For a while I thought they were going to introduce a law saying all ball point pens had to be circumcised.    No, but they want all pit bulls sterilized.  The idea seemed to be that “non primary” or some might say “non essential sex” is somehow “sex you can do without”.  I’m not certain what their chain of reasoning was.   Since when did “pleasure” become an offense?

   Now they are preparing the country of North Korea for the 103st birthday of founder Kim Il Sun.   Well, apparently his birthday is on Tax Day.   There is bad blood between the San Diego Padres and the LA Dodgers as far as wild pitches are concerned and certain pitchers and batter victims that “have a history”.  There seem to be a lot of rivelries where deliberate “beaning” of batters is par for the course.  Apparently it’s “worth it” to the offending pitcher.   This is after dinner, and all three meals today have been unsatisfactorally skimpy.  We had spaghetti for dinner and a green salad and garlic bread and apple sauce for desert.  But they quickly ran out of seconds on the other side.  Jay is puzzled as am I about their strange food distribution system a lot of times.   Just to provide an illustration of this - - it’s as though someone told you to put that box of books on the floor on that book shelf over there.  But what you do is take each book out of the box, and put it in an empty box on another shelf, until the new box is filled up with books done one by one.   I hear all these stories about government waste and food surpluses just sitting in a warehouse and I’m thinking “give me some of that food; I take it”.  So much of what goes on in government is sheer illogic and only done that way to kiss someone’s political ass.  It people did what they genuinely “thought was for the best” there would be so many changes in the way things are gone, everyone would be astounded.

This is Friday April 12, 2013 at three and the movie “42” about Jackie Robinson comes out today.  I was thinking of other numbers such as “1260” snd “2520” as the number of days of the Great Tribulation referenced in the Bible using of course the Babylonian calendar, because they wanted to be sure they were up to date.  If you go back seven years you come to the period when I first started my carrier on Blogger in late April of 2006.  Back then things were so much different from now.  I had money in the bank and still didn’t have a clue that I would soon have major money problems.  Mike was still living here and was my roommate.  Dad was still alive, which really wasn’t saying much because he had pretty much “dropped out” emotionally, at least with me, and it had been that way for some time.  The idea that I could somehow “reach out” to him, wasn’t realistic.  I lay awake last night thinking about this.  I was wondering what personal shortcoming caused me not to be as apparently as respected a human being among his piers as my Dad was.  If I’m not mistaken that trip to the J Paul Ghetty museum was in early May, and I could still afford to pay for that with my own money, including lunch.  I was a lot heavier, but I was also a lot happier.  Some could argue using the seven year guideline that my “time of great tribulation” has about run its course.  Though I’m no fool and realize life doesn’t work that way.  In the evening it was the Mayoral Debate between Garsetti and Gruel.  I liked Garsetti better than Wendy Gruel,  He just seemed more at home “as an LA major’ as someone I could actually picture holding that office.  Me was much more relaxed than was Wendy and his words flowed much more naturally sharing what was on his heart as a vision for Los Angeles.  I had the feeling that Wendy was working from a teleprompter- - one that was going by just a little too fast.  After this it was the Vampire Diaries and then “Beauty and the Beast” I watched till just past 9:30.

The trouble is I woke in the night and didn’t even check the time- maybe it was around two.  And I had this bad diaria - - twice.  That worried me, particularly if a blood test were scheduled the next morning (which thankfully there wasn’t).  I went out and smoked a cigarette and got back to sleep and woke at about six o clock on the dot, oddly tired.  I turned on Stephanie Miller.  Janet wasn’t even offering any rolls this morning and if she would have, I would have turned her down and told her why.  As it turned out- it was a normal breakfast.  We got our oatmeal from [name withheld] and drinks from Denise and the attentive med guy.  We had a fried egg and hashed browns with catsup.  Glen wanted me to break a ten dollar bill to go and buy him cigarettes and I declined.  Since I have a pittance of extra cash I’m going to save it for whatever rainy day is just around the corner.  As I said at the outset of this file- - I still have a lot of free floating anxieties.  I did receive a visit from “Bones” this morning, who is apparently back from that conclave or whatever the Federation was having.  He said that he “understands where Neil Asphenol is coming from now better”.  This let me know that Neil was in attendance, a fact I didn’t know.  (I wonder what inter-stellar jet fair is these days)  He also said that Mal Evans isn’t being “Beatleish” enough- - and is not plugging the group hard enough.  And worse that Apple and I Tunes is selling Beatle records and making money off that - - and Mal hasn’t said anything disparaging about the trade mark violation - - and what piggy-backers on someone elses’s image and reputation that Steve Jobs was.    The funny thing as Stu was saying this to me I was apparently more in agreement with Neil than Stu himself seemed to be.  Stu made vague allusions as to how incomparable Mal Evans is- and his wisdom and perspective.  It’s like all those times Becky would complain to me about an argument she and Bo had- - where I would take Becky’s side just to get on her good side, when in most cases I agreed with Bo’s viewpoint.

Now It's Out In The Open

I’m wondering whether Moe Kelly is being “Turned”.  You’ve seen it happen with others such as Dennis Prager and Tammy Bruce and Laura Schleshenger.  They start off what most people would call liberal and evolve into hard right tea baggers.  Now Moe Kelly is demonstrating some of the same tell tale symptums.  He says that Black people and culture is not entitled to any “reparations” for the sin of Slavery for so long.  I guess it’s along the Mitt Romney line of logic of “how long are the Democrats going to blame George Bush for this recession?”, kind of thing.  He says “I care more about these ghetto school kids today”.  He went on to dis NBA and NFL team players who are recruited and sign these million dollar contracts and are broke in a few years.  He seems to be implying ever so delicately that there is something about their being Black that caused them to lose their money.   And then he says “you know we can throw money at a ghetto problem, but the truth is that some things are mental attitude problems rather than money problems”.  Then he talks about how if you have a batchelors degree that won’t guarantee anything now in terms of a good job but you need something higher to assure a good job.  He speaks of the idea of having a 2.0 average to graduate high school as almost “too low a standard” and points out that prior to now, students could get passing grades with D’s on their report cards.  My understanding has always been that “D” is a passing grade.  Apparently not in his mind.  Of course last week he went on that rant I tried to “understand’ at the time how anti slavery crusaders didn’t necessarily care a thing about what happened to the Negro once he was freed and segregation may be just fine.  In like manner he pointed out that the Martin Luther King crusaders for civil rights- - were all men.  And that they had in mind a male being the head of the household.  I agree this is the ideal.  It’s just that he seems to in all of his examples now, bending over backwards to embrace the past.  And even attacking rapper artists for sick lyrics as though it were news now- - I find a little opportunistic.  Because he makes it clear it’s the whole Black ghetto culture that he’s coming down on, and not just one isolated song lyric.  It’s his “Sister Soldier” moment.  So he’s a guy whom I am going to watch to see just what other “revelations” he plans on having that conservatives are wonderful people after all.  What if someone could have button holed a relatively young Ronald Reagan in 1950 and sat him down and had a little talk about a few new beliefs he was "trying on for size now"?  Of course he’s a Christian, but everybody says they are a Christian.  Even someone who can’t stand what Christianity has become now will SAY he’s a Christian sheerly out of cultural pressure. 

I had Randy Rhodes on from noon till one and what she said was a bit enlightening.  William Reinquist was around in the High Court as far back as 1954 and he filed a brief with the Court saying that Plecy verses Ferguson should continue to be the law of the land and that “separate but equal will serve us just fine”.  Randy Rhodes cataloged a whole chain of events since the sixties – since Nixon, that have driven Blacks out of the Republican Party.  It’s a chain of events that’s difficult to defend.  But now Rand Paul is at Howard University in Washington DC, which was founded by Blacks to give them a fighting chance at higher education.  I guess they let Whites go there too now.  Anyhow Rand Paul believes he can appeal to Black voters by saying that he’s against the 1064 Civil Rights law because a private businessman should have the right to decide who he’ll sell food to or whose hair he’ll cut, or even whom he will lend money to.  As long as Republicans are so tone deaf on race relations, you can guess the results.   But what I personally am more worried about are all of these tea party governors in major Midwest states still enacting powerful, repressive, legislation.  Of course that Republican gang of five including Rand Paul and Marco Rubio and Ted Cruise, promised to block even letting the new gun bill (that didn’t exist till yesterday) come up for debate.  It seems that he has come up for debate and is being debated right now.  That’s good.

In soap land it’s all out in the open, the “Fit has hit the Shan” as the expression goes.  Daniel knows how vicious Clowie is about keeping Daniel from his son, and even exploiting the idea that Daniel is not listed as the father on the new birth certificate.  What Clowie said tauntingly to Jennifer a few days ago, she’s now openly telling Daniel to his face.  Obviously she has burnt the last bridge as to ever having any hope of a romantic relation with Daniel.  When Nancy finds out about how she handled herself, she’s going to think Clowie has lost her mind.  They keep alluding to some “secret” or “ulterior motive” that Stephano Di Mira has that we, the audience don’t know about.  I guess it will all be revealed little by little- in their own time.  It would sure be nice if you knew when or if- - someone professing to be your best friend or a common believer with you in a political cause- - will suddenly turn against you, first secretly, almost being ashamed to let you know, and then coming out and flaunting it openly.  

I had Dr. Oz on at two and healthy living was the key word.  This one celebrity has a son who needs a gluten free diet- - and I guess they specially make a lot of gluten free products.  She says that magnesium is a great aid for relaxation and sleep, but if you take too much it will give you the runs.  I guess that’s informative to know.  They always use these exotic vegetables and Japanese radishes and the like.  There are more and more Vegan stories in the news, about perhaps how you might want to become a vegan gradually like skip a meat meal or two, and then have a normal dinner.  Or they suggest “or you can drop all the butter and mayonnaise from your diets” and adopt one of their weirdo comdiments instead.  It’s like eliminating all salt from the diet and they say “your taste buds will adapt to it”.  Yeah, just like my wallet has adapted so beautifully into living here.  Try again.  There is an odd bifurcation of culture going on out here on the west coast.  In the rest of the country a white can shoot down a Black man in cold blood and they call it self defense,  you don’t need a permit to carry a conceiled firearm virtually anywhere, even to church, you can deny the Black man his right to vote, once again, you can raid union and pension funds and bust unions and pass laws to insure elections biased in favor of the far right, and you can have your medicare, social security and vetteran’s benefits stolen from you.  But out here it’s an entirely different story.  Gay couples can adopt children, but cigarettes are all but illegal, you can’t get a plastic bag, and they want to make Styrofoam food implements a thing of the past.  There is pressure to go vegan and have your cholesterol in the two digit range- - and they are even removing fire pits from our beaches, probably at tax payers expense, because they say that fire causes pollution.  And of course they say that char broiled meat gives you cancer, and you have to give your kindergartners gay tollarence training.  I don’t know.  It’s a brave new world.  Maybe nature will rebel and the west coast will just crack off in some giant newly discovered geological rift.  And now it’s time to go to dinner.

This country stands out in peculiar fashion now as being "morally out of balance".  The stuff going on in other countries I can understand.  They are evolving in their own way, sometimes with two steps forward and one step back- - but they seem to be moving tword the Light.  This country since 2008 seems gripped in some sort of insidious Moral Darkness.  I'll tell you what a bogus response to the problem is and that is "Oh that's all in the Past".  That's what they said about Nixon, that's what they said about Iran-Contra, that's what they said about Bush and Chaney.   There is an age old question about allowing Evil people to prosper.  Contrary to what Christians say- I don't see a lot of God saying "Oh hell those were bad attrocities and abomonations but that happened decades ago- - nobody probably even remembers that.  No.  On the contrary through the pages of the Bible you see Jehovah God constantly avenging old grudges.   But you know one of my pet peves is the way people misuse our language.  We bastardize words like Love, and Faith, and Forgiveness, and another victim of said bastardization is the word "Repentance".  The way I see the meaning of the word Repentance means to "Come Clean".  It doesn't mean, "Keep it secret, make some deal to be reassigned or pay a fine and then just go back to business as usual".  People talk about Black reparations.  How about Jewish reparations for "The offence of the Cross" to use a term of St. Paul.  The Jewish People had their land, their language, a lot of their culture and respect among the world's nations, stripped them all on account of "The Cross".  I'd be real offended by that if I were a Jew.  They have lost a lot and virtually none of that vast loss was of their own doing.  I know enough about the Golden Rule to know that I sure as hell would not want to be in their place for most of the past two thousand years.  You know they say that the past means nothing and that a rich man who loses all his wealth will soon become rich again, but a fool, even if he should gain a million dollars (not all that much money these days) will blow through it in a few years.  The truth is that the Rich are so rich - their capital is so Vast- - the Interest rates alone have them pretty much set for life- - without lifting a finger.  Poor people don't have the opportunies to start up a business now.  You can't tell me that a little infusion of Capital would not do a Black inovator a world of good.  I think the question to judge any man by is "What have you done with the resorces you Do have".  I'd love it if I were judged ONLY on the decisions I had CONTROL over.  That's kind of the point of that little rant by Syd Barret yesterday morning.  My fortune in THAT life- - it was made clear was because of NOTHING that I did- - but merely because of the caprice of circumstance.  (One of these days I'll lay out the whole scenario for you)  Mind you I'm no big fan of the "What if" or "If Only" game.  But there are times when it's productive to think in such terms is only to remind yourself of the Consequences of some decision you DID have control over and not make THAT mistake again.  Some say the Universe will pay you back either for good or bad, at the end of your deeds.  The Federation has a term for this karmic force they refer to as the AXIS - - (usually done in all caps) "around which the Universe revolves".  One minister once said of moral pay-back that "You will reap in a manner entirely unexpected- and in a Different Season".  This last part for some reason made me think of Reincarnation.  This idea of The Universe paying you back is popular in a lot of Eastern religions.  But I would close with the classic closing statement of the newly sworn in John Kennedy who said "- - but here on Earth- - God's work must truly be our Own".

Senate Reaches Agreement on Gun Bill

Senators Pat Toomie and Joe Mansion (?) met today on a C-Span broadcast to outline the gun buyer background bill they agreed on, but only to Introduce to the Senate.  This has not been even done yet, which perhaps is why I saw no debate coverage on this bill on C-Span.  The bill won't be introduced untill tomorrow.  Both Toonie and the other guy agreed that this bill will not infringe on the rights of gun users, but only goes after the criminal backgrounds and mental instability of prospective guy buyers by closing the gun show loophole.  The bill also controls buying guns on line.  However there are many loopholes remaining.  For instance the bill exempts selling to family members and relatives, and even "close friends".  But I've heard nothing about barring straw buyers or making surrogate purchessers liable for aiding and abetting, as people who sold alcohol to minors would be subject to.  President Obama will introduce his budget tomorrow and no doubt we'll have more details then.  However John Boehner has already condemned the budget will acknoledging that "there is some effort twords expenditure reduction".  This would be in medicare and also in the "chain C P I switchover for Social Security.  John Bohner states however that "We gave the President his tax increase last January, so right now let's just pass the budget reduction portion of THIS bill that we BOTH presumably agree on".  In this manner John Boehner appears to lave led the President into a trap.  But let us set the record straight about the year end tax bill.   John Boehner did not GIVE our side a "tax hike" because taxes were scheduled to rise if the President or congress did absolutely nothing.  On the contrary we GAVE them the $400,000 cut off level rather than the $250,000 level the President had campaigned and won on.  In terms of the Melitia Act of 1792 enacted by George Washington- - this law is irrelivent as far as the reference to a "well regulated Melitia' is concerned.  The Courts have ruled time and time again that ANY individual citizen constitutes his own "Militia" and as such has gun rights.  Randy is uninformed of various Supreme Court rulings here.  Besides is she were right virtually nobody now owning a gun would have a right to continue to use that gun, and we know this is not the case.

In the news Mayor Viragosa has attacked both candidates who want to replace him next month for not being activist enough in the area of Education and has more or less "challenged them".  In other news one football player for the Jacksonville Jagwires- - claims to have gone Veegan and feels better than he ever has before and now "other players are doing it'.  I don't know.  They are probing the brains of mice with a new 3 D device that lets you take a third dimensional diarama into the brains of mice seeing details we have never been able to see before like individual neurons and even "seeing pain".  David Cruise is upset because he's claimed that due to skyrocketing crime rates they are having to let people out of State and County prisons and now these violent, dangerous felons are back on the streets comitting new crimes.  He said something about how prisoners go straight from prison to the streets even if they are supposed to be on parole, because we don't have funding for parole officers.  This whole David Cruise story makes little sense to me for a whole host of reasons.  It reads more like some John and Ken horror tale from twenty years ago.  Besides why would they pick to let the very most Violent men out of jail?  Why not go with more passive, non violent crimes such as bad check writing, or extortion, or drug related crimes or prostitution?  Yesterday on the radio I heard from more than one program that Jackie Robinson signing with the major leagues was a Bad thing because it hurt the Negro leagues.  Also the whole idea of giving up segregation was a bad idea because Black people had more pride when they stuck to their own and owned their own businesses in the "good old days" of a segregated America.   I remember some Preacher on tape several months ago who spouted garbage like this.  I guess there is just a lot of wierdness going around.

People who are less than mentally stable - should pay no heed to "voices" that appear to be pandering to them.  If I suspect this is going on, I get really uneasy. You could say I'm waiting for "whatever' and I'm not sure just what but I'll know it when I see it.  Stephanie Miller's "sexy liberal" tour hits Chicago Saturday night, and they are still apparently selling tickets to that.  The soap opera I'm watching has been pretty tense, shall we say and the whole plot line is making me a little nervous.  You have Christine and that mugger fiend of hers, and that has a potential to turn Violent.  And you also have Daniel and Clowie- - and the Truth is slowly but surely dawning on him.  I can't imagine what kind of verbal confligration will hit when both sides lay their cards on the table.  There are a lot of people at this point who wouldn't mind seeing Clowie dead - not one bit.  Meanwhile none of "the usuals" have conversed with me from "behind the veil of Death" or whatever.  However last evening and again this morning Pink, alias Syd Barrett approached me.  Last night he wanted to talk about Beatle songs.  I had a dream last night that was symbolic.  It was the idea that if the Lord says he has certain attributes such as riches or "inner peace" or love or what have you- - - if you were to look on some color coded "map" of emotions- - even if you saw only a small ammount of one color on the map you would be literally engulfed in that "asset' if you will.  Like is some crop map said "sugar" or "spinach" or "Wheat" you would expect to be engulfed in a sea of wheat fields as far as the eye could see.  You would not be lingering on stories of "I think I saw some wheat somewhere- - several years ago- - but now I'm not even sure".  There was this idea that if you HAVE a virtue or asset in your life- - you are surrounded on Four Sides in sort of an equallatteral triangle "tent" of this asset radiating out from four other sources at 120 degree increments.  Whatever you think is Within You is actually coming from Without and shining back on you.  I found this dream worth musing over.  Then when I awoke- - Pink approached me again.  And youall should listen up here because he said something I almost forgot and you may have never heard me say at all.  We were talking about Void jumping last week.  Some of your brighter bulbs out there might Rightly ask me, "Well, what insurance is there is you are jumping into or through the Void, as you described, what assurance is there you will come back in the Same Universe that you Departed From?  Syd Barret said "You DON'T have any positive assurance this won't happen.  Syd then went on to say that he learned things about me in a parrellel Universe- - and I got really paranoid the more he talked.  I asked for more details however- - and I grew a bit more assured because he actually with these additional details and explanations of step by step events- - made the whole scenario sound almost plausable.  But Syd Barret re-introduced a word that has kind of dropped out of my lexicon and that is "Gravimetric distortion".  The word has kind of a suspicious Star Trek ring to it.  Syd said there were occasionally "gravity storms " in Space and that these can interfear with porthole transfer- - - he said that gravemetric distortion - - - follow this- - is when "a body of mass" is drifting through the cosmos- - - and if entrance into this Force is more protracted than the Egress- - you will go back in time- - but if Egress is more protracted- - you will Advance in Time.  In conformity to what I had learned around 1987 - - the worst of these "distortions' last only three or four months.  He said the easiest way to think of it is that "free fall" thing we discussed last week.  If you Leave the gravity mass going faster than you began- - you go back in time - - but if you lose speed on the encounter- - then you go forward into the future.  There is a different type of distortion that involves jumping Universes - - some form of "lateral distortion".   But Pink said "It's so Dangerous - - that nobody would ever undertake to do it Deliberately".  I'll take his word for it.  Many times during our encounter I would say "But Mal Evans says - - " or "But Mal Evans always told me - - " and Pink seemed quite dismissive- - of any thing Mal Evans might have said.  "Just because Mal doesn't want to talk about it doesn't mean it isn't possible" Pink says.

Finally we get into Sirius A cryptic writing- - which basically is English made harder for natives to translate, though Romulan is also used in the same cryptic style.  First of all certain CR words are now KR such as Kryptic and Kronic and Kronological and Klout.  Next the X is the "CH" sound.  We already told you the Romulans did this, and why they do.  The F is now the "S" sound.  So any S word is now an F word.  And the F is now changed to an upside down V.  And the V itself- - - is substituted for a U.  And the W is substituted for the V.   Often the sort "San" on Spanish cities has the prefix FX, which is the S and the greek Chi letter.  (As in Holy Christ)  One more we forgot about was that the R is now a P, in Greek tradition.  Sometimes Romulans themselves spell R words with a P.  The P is kind of a hangman's nuce without the nuce.  There is a tall vertical line and a line to the right- - and a short jag down.  This is the new P.  It should be noted that the Reigelian alphabet looks a little bit like coinea Greek letters- - or in any case is "trans-litterable" into Roman letters.  The R in that alphabet is kind of a slightly curled P.   In terms of the whole DES RHO thing- - this is the designation of a people and also a letter scrambling code.  The designation goes only back about thirty years.  You guessed it- - Randy Rhodes, tragic death, who was Ozzy Osborne's lead guitarist for two legondary albums.  It's primarily a tribute to him.  Another feature of this Sirius A code of course is that it's all CAPS and there is no punctuation on it like the lyrics on "Imperial Bedroom" by Elvis Costello.  As you people should know- - - The Sirius A's picked up Semaphore code from Planet Earth in the late 1700's.  They learned it correctly but when they taught it to the Romulans the code got reversed and so the Romulans do everything backwards.  Since I learned it from the Romulans, I do it backwards, too.
