(If you really are Superman) - - Just Do It!

We learned there is a theory Jewish people I have that I didn't realize. It would seem that many Jews believe in religious pluralism or "Many paths to God" This is a theory that I have always subscribed to. There are many ways up the mountain of Truth and Enlightenment. You know I have said (in a real early posting) that "I would rather trust a dog that was raised around moral people, than a human being - who wasn't. It says in the Bible that "The desciples stood out and when people saw them they knew they had been with the Messiah. And so it is when you explore real "Evidence that demands a verdict" that if you can see the positive change in an animal, you most certainly see it with human beings who have had a real "Experiance" with God. But instead the church people are described by Bob Dylan as follows, "Do you take me for such a fool to think that I would make contact with someone who tries to hide what they don't know to begin with". People say "Oh heaven is such a wonderful place I can't talk about it" but then how come the scent of brimstone circles around your very words radiating out through the ether waves? Dr. Levy announced that Judaism was an open religion that did not preclude also being in other Faith’s like Hinduism or something. OK. Dr. Levy also expressed sympathy when I told him that my church (neither one, actually) was not supportive, and he said “That is wrong”. The one o clock break was longer than usual and we broke up about twenty to two. I caught the last quarter hour of the soap opera after that cigarette from Richard Moore, who said he might let me have one tomorrow morning also. I was sure to hit afternoon coffee. I sat next to Elizabeth but didn’t exchange words. (I was in a contemplative mood) She got up and then Nancy sat down and she was more talkative. (parts of this Word file have been embellished here)

They have a saying on the stock exchange "The tape doesn't lie". What this means is that people like Jesus Christ should make a religion of status quo when progress is clearly taking place. (Selah) I caught the end of Randy Rhodes and then it was that autistic kid report on Bonnie Hunt and she was exploring this 1 in 150 epidemic of Autism. There were a long list of “He’ll never- - “ such as “He’ll never say I love you” or “He’ll never play on a sports team.” Of course now the kid was becoming verbal and making great strides. You know, that kid on the Jesus Christ show could have had that dopamine deficiency thing in his brain that the man on TV had- - who had had to live with a diagnosis of Cerebral Paulsey all his life. Untill one day he took a new pill and he found out that he was cured. Then I switched to Judge Piero for the remainder of the hour and then Eye Witness. The weather is about perfect.

Herald Brown will be stepping down as Prime Minister, as the labor party searches for another leader. The field seems wide open. David Cameron seems the logical candidate for Prime Minister now if the Queen OK’s that. We had peanut butter sandwiches for snacks. I’m temped to take that cigarette from Bill now.

That seven foot cross that honors the dead of World War I out in the Mojave desert for decades, has been stolen. I think we can be pretty sure who did it. It was one of these assholes that wants to purge every last vestage of religion from society. The cross had been covered over by mandate of our dictatorial court system. The cross is a southern California cultural icon and represents a lot of history to its adherents.

There is a wise saying, "After my death I would rather have the people asking why there wasn't a monument to me - - than visa versa - - and the people asking why there Was". I would like to talk a little about this “Superman” word people are using. When someone isn’t doing their job and they and everybody else knows it, they come back with the retort of “I’m not superman”. This goes for God Himself, by the way. I am getting so tired of people apologizing for Obama’s shortcomings in office, being elected as a liberal Democrat to the left of Hillary. I have said countless times that not voting for Hillary was the biggest mistake I made in the election. We know darned well that Roosevelt, Truman, and Johnson got a hell of a lot more done with congress because all of these men had a mission and they accomplished it. A list of Obama’s political falling down on the job would provide a list as long as my arm. People like Randy Rhodes say “Obama must have a rough time of it”. Why doesn’t Randy just cue up “How do you sleep at night” while she’s at it? He can’t do health care. He has to disown a pastor he knew and loved for twenty years. He has two wars to fight. “Boo – hoo!” He can get out of Iraq right now if he wants and this escalation in Afghanistan is an affair of his own choice. Nobody is blaiming him for the oil platform explosion. But he needs to make his position clear. He needs to say “Yes we are going to continue to drill for oil but we have to make it safe and drastically tighten up regulations so that they conform to other countries such as Norway”. I am not for “cap and trade” but if I were I would find Obama’s inaction on the issue very frustrating. We know what happened to the Health Care bill. And now we know what may be happening to financial reform. Nobody held a gun to the President’s head and made him hire Timothy Geitner and Larry Summers as part of his cabinet. We know he refused to prosecute the Bush administration but at the same time he wants to trash the fourth and fifth amendments in this country- - pandering to the right on this phony issue of terrorism. We keep hearing about “immigration reform”. We all know “something” needs to get done, but we also know that Nothing is Getting Done. Personally I’m wondering what happened to that second stimulus check we were promised late last year. “And where is that pony?”

David Cameron has been installed as Britain’s next Prime Minister. Congratulations. The government will now again be run by the conservative party and were I the President I would take heart from this knowing Britain will continue to be US friendly in foreign policy. I hope the people are satisfied with what they voted for.

This is Tuesday May 11, 2010 after dinner. We had Chinese stir fry with rice or some variation of that, and mixed vegetables. Dora has seconds only on rice so I took that. I went out for coffee in the pot that looked hot, but wasn’t hot when I got it home.

I like the Hartman-esque term of “dog whistle speech”. Again, when people use such phrases as “I’m not Superman” or they inject the word “Magic” or “Magical” into a sentence they are stonewalling. Christians have a similar word, “Esoteric” to defend their notion they try to hide, that they really don’t believe in any supernatural or any other kind of manifestations of God in this life. If they say “Esoteric experience” it makes them sound pious or something. It’s like when conservatives talk about “risky tax schemes” to mean paying a few extra bucks out of the millions they earn. Randy Rhodes was talking about how “You can’t expect things to Magically take place just because we elected a liberal democrat as President”. If you take out the word “Magically” the statement sounds silly and they know it. Of COURSE we expected things to change when we did an electoral 180. People aren’t stupid! We expected the democrats to go after Bush, Chaney, and Rumsfeld. It’s like if I win a big poker round at the gambling table I bet heavily on- - do I “Magically” expect to get paid if I cash in my chips?” “The computer says- - Yes!” Some of the decisions in life aren’t complicated; they just require a spine.

Speaking of Superman, you know Clark Kent as portrayed in “Smallville” has to be one of the most threatened, sexually-repressed, and un-free people on the planet, perpetually dogged, it seems, by these supernatural Titans he is powerless to control. Know this, if I were married to Samantha I’d be handing her divorce papers within six months. “Do you mean the one on Bewitched or the Soap Opera”. Either one!

And now we come to one of those stories that’s a real moral conundrum (to use one of those fancy Rush Limbaugh words) This story about a girl in Jr. High reading class giving a class mate a blow job right on the floor of the classroom with the teacher in the room. I do not know how such a thing could happen. What kind of s school is it? But can you blame several students for wanting to videotape such a rare event? It would be like photographing the mating ritual of a rare species of butterfly! To me it sounds like nothing short of comical that each and every student would be forced to have their cell phones inspected for recording an “on campus” event. Could these students be arrested for being purveyors of pornography, or worse yet guilty of a sex crime against a victim under eighteen and forever having to wear “sexual predator bracelets”?

Sydney J. Adler used the expression “I’m not Superman” when I asked the good doctor about the Ritilan I had been prescribed in the fall of 1965. He called them “smart pills” but my Algebra grades were clearly dropping and I wasn’t learning the material presented in class. And as you know I screwed up my music audition I took to get into Concert Band the following winter. I had Keith Moon’s syndrome- - I screwed up a piece with six-eight time. Someone even asked me “Just what are your grades in math?” I may be deciding to post more of “The Arimid Years” if the Spirit moves. (This is “Di Mira” backwards- - and was the title of a three-part computer file I did fourteen years ago that covers the period from mid summer of 1966 through about mid March of 1968) The last time I saw Sydney J Adler was December 24th 1966 and in that sixteen months I had managed to build up a trust and rapport with him. The next appointment was scheduled in early February. I was supposed to be chronicling the action of this new drug, Triville, that I had been taking since mid summer “to see if it was making me act normal”. Adler called Triaville “confidence pills”. What they were was mind altering sedatives- - and I was doing things like participating in Chemistry lab experiments in class while being under the influence of the drug, which could have been dangerous. But that February appointment was canceled without reason. There was a whole “C Change” occurring between the relation between me and my Dad during the previous few months- - we’ll say since mid November of 1966, that was measurable. The evidence that my Dad was for whatever reason “tuning out on me” and emotionally withdrawing- - was unmistakable and this manifested itself in the actions of several other family members. I don’t have time to go into details here but in retrospect, where I to bring up this period to a therapist, with the reflection on this period now- - you can bet I would be making a lot of key points that really haven’t been made- - publicly, that is. The death of my Dad is shall we say, “An impediment” to ever finding out the whole truth about this period.

Elena Kagan Picked for High Court Justice

Elena Kagan has been nominated by President Obama this morning just after seven our time, for Justice of the Supreme Court to fill Stevens’ seat. The President praised Stevens and said his judicial experience would be hard to replace. It's the first time the Supreme Court would have three women on it. It took time but we'll finally have three lady Supremes. It is hoped that Kagan will be able to "reach out and sway Justice Kennedy" and bring him back to the liberal side. Elena Kagan is solicitor general and has always been on President Obama’s “short list” and we mentioned her at the time a month ago. I personally have wondered why it took the President a whole month to come up with her name since he obviously had been giving the matter a lot of preliminary thought. Kagan is rightward leaning in her positions on executive power and unlawful detention and torture. However it can be argued that she took these positions on government power because that was her job at the time. However Glen Beck points out that she wrote a paper on college defending socialists in New York in the early 1930’s and argued that they should spend less time attacking her fellow radicals but in unity should be taking down the establish. Kagan is Jewish, so that now the Supreme Court has no Protestants left on the bench. She is just fifty years old and at this time will be the youngest justice on the bench. Kagen is also very sympathetic on women’s and gay issues and wants to eliminate “Don’t ask –don’t tell” and some say that she herself is a lesbian because she introduced her brothers rather than her husband and family. But one and all agree that it would be disasterous for her to “come out” at this time – even if she is gay. It is hoped by many on the left that she will “mature” and “evolve” as she develops her own judicial philosophy, since she doesn’t have a paper record, and as such that she will move leftward much as Stevens and Sutor did.

It would seem that this is not your father’s justice. The fourth and fifth amendments of the constitution are in the process of being shredded. As you know from watching “Cops” the fifth amendment is a joke because if you lie to a cop they will just make it harder on you piling on more charges. It would seem that operationally that the right against self incrimination is non existent. Even though I personally would not lie to a cop I don’t see how it’s my job to help they get a conviction. Why should I make their job easier for them. Of course the fourth amendment is gone. They may say “can I search your car” but you know they’re going to search whether you agree or not. There is also the doctrine of “exigent circumstances” elucidated by Mark Fermin in the OJ case where for instance if a cop gets a phone call saying someone’s wife is being beaten, the cops have to be allowed enterence into the house on that roomer. And if you lock the door against them, they’re just going to bash down the door and come in. And the whole “public safety” exception to the Miranda rights had originally to do was if you came upon a shooter shooting down at people in a public square and you ask him “how many other shooters are there out there”. But Eric Holder got eight hours to grill Shazad before reading him his Meranda rights, and now Holder wants more time. I said on the last post that Miranda rights were something we always have. But functionally it appears that this is not the case now. You have no rights. The cops can bring out the rubber hoses and start pummeling you and they can read you your Miranda rights when they get good and ready and not a moment before. This appears to be today’s reality. The fourth and fifth amendments of the constitution are pretty much shredded. The right against self incrimination apparently is not in inherent right. You only have that right if a cop wants to extend it to you. That’s the brave new world in which we live today.

Ladies and Gentlemen, as your President I feel it important to come before the American people at this time to announce my four finalist candidates for Supreme Court Justice. So without further delay, from left to right I would like to announce Levi Laviator, Dick John, Latrell Spreewell, and Levi Johnson. I feel confident that whichever candidate I pick will get a healthy stream of judicial opinion going within the Court and will take dead aim at the problem and hit their target every time.

I watched some video on the Philippine election and also a rather lengthly expose on the Times Square terrorist. Of course the thing the media is bashing us over the head with now is that they have rediscovered this notion of "If we don't fight them over there, we will be fighting terrorists over here". There is zero evidence that there is going to be some new wave of violence in this country. All the people in the news have been rank amateurs. Even Sixty Minutes, bastion of the left, had the "news" that terrorism is headed here, last night. If the media repeats it enough, the people will come to firmly believe in it, whether it is true or not.

Then I watched three Al Yankivick videos, “Ring-tone”, and “Don’t Download this Song” and “White and Nerdy”, the best of the three. A man was found guilty of killing a stranger with a cross bow. I’d like to be in the news for a crime like that. It’s not that I’m too White and nerdy, I’m too Old and nerdy. I think like my generation and use different dialog. Besides I’m not all that nerdy anyhow, although I do exhibit thought processes that resemble a nerd sometimes. We had Ravioli for dinner. Can we sink lower than canned ravioli, a small green salad, phony garlic bread and fruit cocktail for desert? Yes we can. They switched to a cheaper brand of ravioli that isn’t nearly as good. If there was any question about whether to go out for coffee to wash it down, that answered it. I got a large coffee at the bakery.

Leo Le Port said he dealt with some web sites with the philosophy “Trust – but verify”. I suppose I would fall into that category. I haven’t talked about the economic crisis in Greece simply because I haven’t studied up enough on it. They say if it weren’t for the socialist governments Portugal, Ireland, Greece, and Spain had (PIGS) that none of those nations would be having the problems they are having today. Now they are saying they've solved the problem.

Bob Bennet blamed a “toxic” political environment for his fall from grace and coming in third in a state caucus in Utah and won’t be on the ballot this year. What we see from the tea party crowd is a rigid millitency where even the slightest deviation from the party line will not be tolerated, and Bennet voted for the bail out and a few other “questionable” items. Bennet says that he does not regret his votes. The question is, "How will these extremist picks in the primaries affect the results in November elections?" It could be Democrats will ultimately get elections and in the end the tea party crowd will have the futility of their ways exposed.

In “the battle for Canadian oil” it was another confrontation between newsmen, environmentalists, and oil company executives who say the region of the “oil sands” in Alberta has suffered no permanent damage because they replant trees, “and as you can see they are nice and healthy”. Reporters were followed by executives for miles down the highway after they left. In breaking news right now - - - Animal abusers will have to register at a police public data base if a bill passes. I didn’t know that arsonists had to register. This whole idea of "being on some kind of black list" may be growing in popularity, and the list of crimes you commit to get on such a list will be broadened.

Just What Is A Religion?

"The thing is with You and Me, George,
is that during the Depression
we both kept our heads
while all around were losing theirs - -
I'll go further than that.
George, you have Defeated Me - -
and as any one around can attest,
that is no small feat"

-Mr Potter (to George Bailey)

I think I’ll blog this next paragraph rather than send it as a letter to Dr. Levy as I had first contemplated doing. In class today I happened to say that Exestential thought and feelings was the luxury of the idle rich and that ordinary Joes didn’t have the time for such things because they were too busy getting about the business of making a living. Dr. Levy responded “I’m not rich and I think about these things”. Then he talked about all the rich people who are chasing dollars and being King of the Hill in their own chosen realm. To which I responded that many celebrities who are very rich are bothered by the disparity between rich and poor and as such are motivated to think about such things as “Why am I here” and the meaning of life. And they may take up Taoism, or in the case of Madonna, Kabala, or some esoteric Zen religion. But somewhere along the way I said that these “manifestations of religion” really aren’t key to the Exestential Problem in that these people may take up a certain religion for a while as sort of a psychological opiate but then later on discard it as “no longer useful to them”. Dr. Levy said, “I can assure you I don’t feel that way about Judaism”. Someone mentioned Tom Cruise and his taking up of Scientology, to which Dr. Levy chimed in “Yeah, and Tom Cruise has said some really stupid things in interviews on TV”. Let’s establish a point right now. I am not condemning any of these celebrities of being false or duplicitus. Certainly not Tom Cruise. In fact I will go further. I believe Tom cruise is completely captive to his chosen religion. But Scientology can also be classed as a Cult. It happens to be a Cult that I agree with much of in terms of its metaphysics. You’ll remember I said earlier in the session “People seek religion for metaphysical awareness” and went on to say that “Many religions offer metaphysics as a come-on to get you into the movement, but then after you have joined, these same people couldn’t care less about it”. Scientology is one religion that is true to itself in that they actually teach what they believe and believe what they teach. But the difference between a Cult and a Religion, is that with a religion you can take it up for a while and then put it aside with no ill effects. This is not so with a Cult. A cult is like a virus that gets onto your computer hard drive burrowing itself in and depositing who knows how many files, and getting it out of your system is a real bear. It could be said that he who converts you to a Cult is perpetually Greater than you are because they changed and shaped your way of thinking. It could likewise be said that there is no Ego or entity behind a Religion but there IS some controlling, governing entity behind a Cult. May I at this time say that I am personally biased in favor of scientology because as a religion (as well as a cult) it answers questions nobody else wants to tackle. So as such I am a devotee but not so out of any durress but of my free will and not as a prisoner. I would further tell Dr. Levy that I do not make it my business to judge the actions and motives of others except in specific cases. Like if they are doing something to harm me personally, or if they are harming society like selling drugs from their house late at night and my kids might pick up a hypodermic needle in their yard one day, or for instance if they were cruel to animals- - such things would get me in their face. But as to personal issues like who they sleep with or what religion they choose to adopt or not adopt, this is none of my business. Chuck Smith is fond of saying that “It’s not just the action but the motive behind the action that is all important”. I do not make it my business to judge the motives of others. I have enough trouble with judging my own motives. Actions of others are between them and their Maker. They need to resolve moral questions in their own minds. I don’t care. In terms of the Exestential problem itself- - - I am not like Dr. Levy. Because the first question you have to ask yourself is “Do I have any personal control over God or how God interacts with me?” If the answer to that is no- -then asking further questions is irrelivent. I am inclined to tell people dealing with the Exestential Problem things like “Deal with it” and as Don Hendley would say “Just get over it!” I have by way of support of my position none other than Jesus Christ himself because he said “You must become as children- - “ and children don’t trouble themselves pondering such things as “the meaning of life”. Dr. Levy is looking for a God or religion or something to tell him what to think. I told Dr. Levy “It would really take a God to answer that question” meaning- - - that the question is not really mine to ask. God is an A-moral being and if He has reasons for what He does- - He surely keeps them to Himself. As it is written “God’s ways are not our ways”. One remark I didn’t get around to making was that our personal morality might go back to “how we are wired”. I don’t look to some ethereal entity out there to tell me what is valuable and what is nor or what is worth fighting for and what is not- - - I look within myself, because if I can’t live with myself I’ve got problems. As Shakesphere says “To thine own self be true”. Clearly my problems in life don’t stem from somehow not thinking long or hard enough about “The meaning of life” or if I only has the answer to that, all my problems would be solved.

I wanted to address one more issue with Dr. Levy that I don’t think he can accept right now. . I have problems with the Jews in several areas. Like Dennis Prager, Dr. Levy reviews religion the way a teenager would view his souped up car, comparing his vehicle with the souped up car of a friend or rival. They may not agree on specifics but they both are in the “fellowship” of liking souped up cars. Just as Dennis Prager sees himself and Christians as members of a common “Religion Club”. So it is with the Jew and religion. I have another issue with the Jews on the issue of blood atonement and Abraham’s sacrifice of his son Isac. I fail to lay my finger on the passage that says God gave up the doctrine of Blood Atonement for sin. In the millennial reign, the nations will be compelled to offer up blood sacrifices. If you can’t deal with this “Bloody God” my suggestion is to find another religion. How do the Jews deal with this? The next is that the Jew is like some old friend whom you haven’t seen in ten or fifteen years, and although you used to know your friend so well, you find that in the intervening years you have grown far apart - - and certain aspects of the way your friend is now is highly alien to you. So it is with the Jew who, if you want to find out what an Old Testament Jew was, don’t ask a Jew, ask a Christian. Ask a Mormon or a Jehovah’s Witness, but don’t ask a Jew. Dr. Levy says “God is so magnificent he can’t be reduced to an image” Does Dr. Levy even know how God got his name? And I assure you it isn’t “G – d”. I fail to find the scripture where God says “Don’t call me by name”. God’s name is Jehovah Rapha or Jehovah Jira or El Shaddai or any other of a number of names, since God means “The Becoming one”. As such for Jehovah the ultimate manifestation of his nature is to become an incarnate Human Being in the person of Jesus Christ. I don’t see why Dr. Levy has a problem with this. God can just as easily become your Redeemer as he can to become your Provider or your Healer or any of those other things. My final beef with the Jews is I don’t understand why each and every one of them doesn’t despize Christianity because I would. Being a Jew is like you’re invited as an honored guest by William Randolph Hurst to San Simian castle. But then a bunch of your henchmen break out of a Trojan horse you presented as a housewarming gift and armed troops bound and gagged Mr. Hurst and you took over and installed yourself as head of the house, and then you sought about to contact all of William Randolph Hursts’ sworn enemies to come over and rule the place with you, and throw Mr. Hurst out into the gutter.

Yesterday it seems a computer glitch on a Proctor and Gamble order may have been the cause of the sudden fifteen minute dip. The stock exchanges are now saying they are going to cancel the trades made during this period. Someone should tell Thom Hartman. It seems someone typed a B for Billion instead of an M for million on the order. The incident does point up the fragility of our system. It was like an economic seismic event that "puts the fear of God into you". It points up how easy it would be for an alien power to throw our entire society into chaos.

Unemployment is up, and that is the bottom line. Such news, as well as the growing economic and civil crisis in Greece - -has been pushing the stock market down. Unemployment has risen to 9.9% because despite the fact there are more jobs out there now, there are even more people now out looking for jobs. As such here is a case where a symptum of a problem getting better - is that it is actually getting worse. Discretion is the key to seeing such paradoxes in life.

The British had their parleamentry election yesterday, “with no TV advertizine”. How do they do that? The conservative party got forty percent of the vote but it seems Herald Brown will survive to form another coalition government with the left. The liberal wanted to cut a deal with whoever won to give them perportional representation for how they did in nation wide polls, rather than to go by, as we do, each election district results. In this way they would stand to gain. However I don't think he will be able to pull this off. Nobody likes to be held hostage. As much as people say that Europe has turned against the United States, clearly vast numbers of people must have an inward respect for what the United States stands for.

A co-founder of “Forus on the Family” was busted for hiring a male prostitute and taking him on a ten day tour to “minister” to him, and the gay prostitute says he did have sex with the co-founder. I'm not surprised that Focus on the Family has amased vast amounts of money to throw around as they will. This prostitute is on page two of a gay porn site. This is just one more thorn in Dobson’s side. And they say Dobson paid him fantastic amounts of money to keep gay couples from being able to adopt kids in Florida, which is the only state where this is the case. As much as I may despise what the aid did, I have to agree with the decision to keep gay couples from adopting children because I honestly believe gay role model parents is not a gamble I want to take with role modeling for the young and impressionable.

Out of Sight - Out of Mind

"I know my life will end the moment I

have completed everything God

put me on this earth to accomplish"

-Chuck Smith

"Pray that you be accounted worthy to escape these things"

Now British Petrolium has found a way in a colossal case of “Out of Sight – Out of Mind” to get rid of that Louisiana oil slick without actually getting rid of any oil from the eco system. They are administering massive ammounds of the chemical 2-butyl ethanol into the leak points. Keep in mind they are not plugging the leaks but only using this chemical dispursal agent. People can’t face the prospect of all this oil washing up on the beach and depositing as tar, from there to have to be cleaned up and put in toxic dump sites. But what ithis agent does is to keep the oil slick from being photographed because rather than come to the surface, the oil remains in the water to get into the eco system where it’s injested first by the bottom dwellers of the sea, and then on up the food chain. And the thing is tis substance, which they say smells like ether, is not exactly safe. It causes dangerous changes in the hemoglogin and genetic mutations in beneficial bacteria and also is associated with low blood pressure and reproductive problems in man and foul. This 2-butal ethanol is a patented secret formula that has never been adequately tested for toxisity. And since it’s a secret the government can’t get their hands on it. So now we sit back and wait for a bigger disaster to happen. The question arises where President Obama still wants to expand oil drilling into new sectors in light of these events. Sometimes you have to do something even when it hurts. If you have a resolution, do you stick to it, or let current prudence be your guide? Governor Swartzenegger has reversed his position on off shore oil in California. If we continue to import oil from the mideast - we wouldn't have prevented this problem - and we have all those new problems from using foreign oil. We all know from Norway regulations, that oil drilling could be a whole lot safer than it is here. As bad as this leak is, would you prefer perhaps a massive radiation leak from a nuclear reactor instead?

People are upset because Fisel Shahzad was read his Meranda rights. John Mc Cain, and Joe Lieberman are troubled by this. But such people are highly ignorant of the nature of the US constitution. These are not rights they are GIVEN at some point in time, these are rights every American citizen HAS from the moment they are arrested and it’s just a question of exercizing them. All Meranfizing a subject does is to insure that the evidence they give will stick in court and will thus insure a conviction. Many people on the right don’t even want Shazad to be convicted in a civil court and go to jail. Because prisoners have certain rights, and among these is the right not to be tortured. These people on the right would much prefer a Devil’s Island type situation living under the most adverse of conditions where neither his guilt nor innocence is ever established. But these people go further. They want to pass a law that says any American can be summarily stripped of citizenship if he’s suspected of certain terrorist activities. You know that Shazad was made an American citizen last year. The thing is Shazad is singing like a canary so much and providing such good propaganda material for the right wing, some might wonder whether this guy is some kind of a plant or something. After all they say that until recently Shazad has no terrorist inclinations but was the son of privilege born to an Aif Force officer in Pakistan and had a good education, and got mattied with kids and did the whole traditional “setteling down” type of thing there in a house in Bridgeport, Conn. That is – until his house was forclosed on.

Once upon a time there was a single mother who had a son with Cerebral Paulsey whom she sought to give a proper Catholic upbringing to attone for her own moral failings. But she was filled with apprehension when one day the son came home from Catholic school and said he would be taking holy communion for the first time the following Sunday. She knew not but it was the Devil that planted this apprehension in her mind, for she reasoned “What if my son accepts the body of Christ and has the faith to be healed from his Cerebral Paulsey?” And she did dial KFI radio station where there was a like minded “Holy Host” who called himself Jesus Christ. And he agreed with her. And he told her “What you need to do is the art of Managed expectations”. And he said to her “Why do you want to fix what God has declaired is not broken? For the reason why your son has Cerebral Paulsey is because God knows you can be trusted.” And so it is that Jesus, who never did believe in any manifestations of the supernatural, had to “kick it up a notch” like Hope Brady- - and come out and say that a disabeling condition like CP was part of God’s perfect plan for her son. And so it is that the whole God damned Catholic Church is “broken” in that there are gay, child molesting priests out there that were attracted to the Faith because they wouldn’t have to face marriage to a woman, and as such many other rationalizations of infallible and prohibitions against priestly procreation and descendancy- - and behold the whole system was broken, but the Pope did declare it all “Not Broken” and things were “Just fine” and anybody who thought other wise was like the anti semites in Nazi Germany or something. So with the Catholic Church and the Nazis the adage is proved true “He who seeks to preserve his life will lose it, and anybody who risks his life will Save it”. As it is also written “If a government cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich”. And lest the emperor be accused of having no clothes, the Pope forarms himself with an edict of personal infallibility. And he extends this gift of infallibility to any talk show host in Los Angeles will is willing to sell their soul.

It is a common belief in certain Spiritual circles that what I refer to as the hyper-space realm is the realm where anything really Important and Real happens and that earth is just some kind of a holding tank or something for souls doing time waiting to get on with their real lives. A common theme is that in the last days there will be a separation of Good and Evil so that both are clearly identifiable. Rather than a chemical that dispurses the oil further into the eco system what you need is a substance that congeals the oil and allows it to clump together all in one place. If Good and Evil were playing some cosmic chess game and Evil was clearly losing in a fair head to head contest, Evil might decide reality was too intrusive and seek to hid in some lower dimension- - like Earth, where his activities can be more earily cloaked. Another trait of evil is that they invariably take one mistake and compound it into other more serious misdeeds in an attempt to cover up the first briech of protocol. Picture the recent “24” scenario. To refresh you on the story line it was demonstrated that the Russian government was responsible for the attempt selling of nuclear rods to terrorists to sabotage the peace process. Now there is a Double Agent named Dana, she she was ready to sing after being slapped around a little by Jack Bower. People regarded it only as a matter of time before the whole truth came out - - and this sham of a Peace treaty involving a key mideast nation would be torpedoed. President Taylow didn’t want that to happen. She regarded this ready to be signed Peace treaty as the keystone of her Administration. Yet with consultation with her trusted aid, Ethan, they both agreed that a withdrawal speech should be drafter and that President Taylor needed to go before the cameras very soon to announce the Peace Tready was done with and would not happen. But then another aid of hers said “You have another choice. All you need to do is to take Dana (the double agent) out of the loup and “dispose of her” and turn her over to a private agency like Blackwater to be tortured or whatever- and never again see the light of day. And President Taylor made this decision for “expediency” and decided she didn’t mind adding torture and abuse of power to her list of misdeeds. Part of what Satan will tell you when you try and address a problem is “Why do you fix what God has declared isn’t broken. Things are just find the way they are. All you need to do is step up your duplicity and cover-up activities”. We don’t know whether this advisor of President Taylor is “walk in” and that he wasn’t really who she thought he was. In the last days- - souls will invade bodies and personalities will be transformed. It’s not that they were “turned to the dark side” a la Star Wars - - it is that their former souls attained Enlightenment and Bode Safa not withstanding- - -they fell to the final temptation of the Buddah by the Devil to just “take your enlightenment ans Vanish into Nirvana”. As such these souls are liberated. But the dark souls that replace them were only available because the Devil was losing so many pieces in a chess game with Good that these pieces rather than be hostages, sough a portal to a “lower dimension” like Earth where they would have the field all to themselves- - because the spiritual rules of the game there were not enforced. So it will be on September 25th. 2010.

Pakistani National Arrested in Car Bomb Case

Let’s just jump right in here with my notes. Two pairs of white socks. Oopse. That’s the wrong side. Here we go. Fisel Shahad was arrested today for the attempted Times Square bombing of last Saturday night in New York. As you know for a while people didn’t know who the suspect was – only that an S U V pulled up and parked and it looked sort of suspicious and someone reported it. And they found a rather crudely made bomb consisting of firecrackers and canisters of propane gas. They say if the bomb had actually gone off the Right would have had their “Rallying point” with an incident on President Obama’s watch. The blast would have extended out several hundred yards and the height and narrow confines of the building would have amplified the blast effects, not to mention the high speed debris that would be flying around, injuring and killing still more people. They had been looking for a forty year old white guy who had shown up on a video and they say he changed his shirt. That could have been because it was a hot, muggy night. Fissel Shabad is a Pakistani national who was naturalized as a citizen into this country. He was arrested at the airport just before boarding a United Arab Emerits flight to Dubai - - and from thence go on to Pakistan. I suppose they will want to water board him to get the truth out of him. Now they are saying that he is cooperating and is providing valuable information. He says that he was trained by the Talliban. His residence here was in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Some people like me and Randy Rhodes chalk up this whole thing to “just another day in the Big City.” She remarks that things are exploding in New York all the time like a man hole that exploded the other day and according to her sent flames several stories high. I would like to have seen that. Perhaps there is a video. People like me just don’t have the “worry gene” - - like that officer in Appcralipse Now - - which many people said “You know he’s the sort that will come through this war without a scratch” and his solution to your worries was “Go surfing”. I guess I’m just confident enough in our government that they’ll protect us and keep anything really bad from befalling the population. If there is a God out there you might want to sent up a prayer of thanks. These people keep saying “We have all sorts of horrible things planned for the United States”. But my philosophy is that Al Qaeda is one of those organizations that will “wither on the vine” eventually, and as the years pass will be forgotten, except for a footnote in some history book. We’ll see.

Well, George Washington’s Blog featured a chart of all the currents in the Gulf of Mexico and demonstrated how this massive oil slick off Louisiana could eventually make its way around the Florida keys and into the Gulf Stream. How ironic that it’s the red states whom disaster seems to be befalling. They say the shrimp and fishing industry will be wiped out. Where is Forrest Gump when you need him? Nashville is under water. Some river along the Tennessee Valley flood plain is flooding out everything and the water in most places is eight to ten feet high, including the Grand Old Oprey building. Some on the right would like to blame things on Obama. There are your usual tornadoes and I saw the video of that one in Mississippi looking out the window. The wind wasn’t blowing THAT hard- - and I kept looking for funnel clouds to form. They say that particular series of tornadoes cut a swath over a hundred miles long, which is a little long. All I can say is spring is a season I want to be in - - with other parts of the country because you know spring has arrived when the weather starts getting more violent. In terms of that oil rig, the rig was owned by Trans Ocean Oil, but it was British Petroleum that operated the platform. Haliburten was in charge of the cement. They say that the oil was exceptionally deep, like eighteen hundred feet, where they could not possible send people un SCUBA suits. They have been saying that the rig will continue to leak oil for three months unless they dynamite the whole thing, assuming that would work. It seems their liability is limited to $75,000,000 or something, which won’t be nearly enough to cover the billions of dollars of damages. But some “reform” laws were passed in the Bush 41 administration in the early ‘nineties to protect corporations. Now the state of Hawaii has passed a resolution of their legislature to do what Tom Hartman says is imperative- - and that is to say Corporations do not have the right of human beings, and are not protected by the first, fourth, fifth, and fourteenth amendments. Hawaii admonishes the Federal Congress to get about the business of drafting a Constitutional amendment that would accomplish the goals of striping personhood from corporations. Of course they could invoke the corporate death penalty, unless Charles Manson has already gotten to the justices on that issue. In the nineteenth century, invocation of the corporate Death penalty used to be common place as corporations were found guilty of violating their charters and “No longer being in the public interest”. We can always hope. Like I say we need some sort of Green Party candidate. I think Ralph Nader is a good start, if he has the perniciousness to run again. Once we rally all of our forces, perhaps in the process, a better candidate will emerge. Thom Hartman is such a gifted individual at putting words together and the amount of research he has done is amazing. But we’ll need his voice on the radio to cheer on whoever the Green Party runs.

We’re now on page seven. Today is May 4, 2010, and we are reminded that it is the fortieth anniversary of Kent State shooting day where four unarmed students were gunned down by the National Guard. As the Beach Boys song says, “They say the students scared the guards, though the troops were battle dressed”. Now they are saying that a specific order was given at a point in time to fire on the unarmed students. For just thirteen seconds, 67 bullets rained down on the demonstrators, killing four. 27 guardsmen admit to firing their weapons. Being on the Left forty years ago was no walk in the park. You were putting your life on the line. Unfortunately people our age pushing sixty- - have long memories and we remember these things- - and as such our own generation is reluctant to demonstrate politically now. We would hope that the younger generation would take up the mantel. But the media is no longer on our side. Even Gandhi, if he hadn’t had good press, would not have been as successful as he was. If you want to know what I really am afraid of it’s the evolution and transmutation of our government into a repressive, fascist state, where citizens willingly surrender their rights and think they are being patriotic in the process. We are not yet at that “tipping point” but someone with their political finger to the wind is probably gauging the outlook of the American people, and when the time is right they’ll move to lock our society down.

And now we move on to what was going to be a Katie Curic type interview of myself where I say things about myself you never knew, such as my middle name. Well let's play the Wheel of Fortune game. Is there an S? - Yes. Is there an N? Yes. Is there an L? Yes. "Pat, I'd like to buy a vowel, an I" "You can do that". Is there a T? "No. You lose the floor, on to the next contestant". This would be easier with a visual. As people like Tony Edwards will tell you, my middle name is a comon brand name for various sports equipment. Also my middle name is English, although my last name is not English. I hope that helps. You know I guess I'm a little like Paul Mc Cartney. They say he had such a super abondance of creative ideas he didn't know which ones to hit first- - so he did Mc Cartney, which outraged the critics with its seemingly half-assed quality. My blogs are the same way. In the early days like in April of 2006 I immediately went off in a lot of different directions. I did E mailings to people and all sorts of stuff. You know in my prophecy book- - I ran my ideas past a "doctrinal filter" - so if the book seems a litter dryer than you'd normally expect from me, that's why. I got rid of most of Mark Campbell's ideas that I was going to use, and those ideas of Marks which do appear in the book are the parts of the book I am most proud of. Some of these pertain to ratting out your friends. Mark and I were watching this Prison movie in July of 1980 where you had to know who your friends were and who would sell you out for a carton of cigarettes. Also there are sentaments about rural life being better than city life- - people gathered together in small bands, as opposed ti a big City behind brick walls with battlements you constantly have to defend. As you know I wrote 29 or 30 original piano compositions as a child. The last one was when I was twelve - - - song number thirty was written in January of 1963 and I sometimes don't count it because it kind of lifted that tune of "Got four wheels and a running board- - I'm a Ford, a Ford, a Ford". But there is a Beatle connection with two of the songs, number 19 "Going up and down hills" in the key of A major written in the fall of 1959. The link here is to the harpsichord part in "Piggies" except that with them the left hand was sped up and the right hand slowed down. The other song is comonly just known as "Number 26" written in September of 1961 in the key of F sharp, and the link here is to the "Ballod of John and Yoco". My piano teacher commented on this composition saying "- - too many notes". But you know people said that Paul appeared to need a companion to bounce and play musical ideas off of. I noticed this quality on John's "Lennon" album, but the first album of Paul's I thought "could have been done better" was "Flaming Pie". I had a lot of ideas about how to improve this album. The other album where I thought compositions needed improving was "Chaos & Creation in the Back Yard". You know- - certain lead guitar parts added and a few key chords added to the progressions. Someone said that "Ram" was Mc Cartney's best post break-up album. Back in the 'seventies I myself regarded "Venus and Mars" as Paul's best album, because at the time I regarded it as the most Beatleish. I guess you have noticed the structural similarity of "Rock Show" to "Wheels of Confusion", by Black Sabbath.

National Unemployment Goes Double Digit

The new jobless figures are out and unemployment stands now at 10.2% of the population, so it can be said the darkest forecasts have come to pass. This is despite happy talk a few days ago about unemployment claims being down. Perhaps people's unemployment has run out and they've given up trying to get more. In this case Obama's actions should be heartening in that he extended the 26 week limit on unemployment compensation. The stock market has not done what I thought it would be doing now, when I made my "buy" recomendation a few weeks ago. But I'm still giving the same advice, which is to buy on the dips and be thankful the market is not at twelve thousand by now. As I have said, if 1982 is any model, this economy won't even begin to get out of the slump it's in untill the Dow Jones Industrials are making new all-time highs, and that leaves a ceiling of over four hundred points to shoot for by way of financial gains. Those in Gold futures should stay right where they are because, as the announcer says "The future of the dollar is very uncertain" and it's always nice to have a little insurance. Every investor should have a little something put away in gold futures, just in case the worst happens. But what this means is that we need to encourage economic reform legeslation, like Senator Bernie Sanders proposed today of reorganizing and breaking up the major banks. We must remember that the government is really the people. The constitution preamble, after all, begins with the words "We the People". When charges are filed against a criminal in superior court, it isn't "Orange County verses Rodreguez" or whoever but "The People verses Rodreguez". It is the people who are the litigents in both cases against individual felons, and also against giant corporations when they violate public interest. Given this awareness that it's We the People who are acting- - what Ronald Reagan says about those nine most dreaded words is nonsensical. He says you should most fear the words "I'm from the government and I'm here to help". Now I will agree with the axion of "A government with the power to grant you everything you need also had the power to take from you everything you have". But - as a moralist, a liberal moralist, my belief is that we need to restore capitalism's work ethic and that people who MAKE something and work all day with their hands, ought not to pay more income tax than those who don't, who sit by the swimming pool waiting for the dividend check to roll in. The idea of self sufficiency is a value that I charish and that we should charish both individually, and as a nation, as far as our productivity is concerned. Pat Buchannon "gets it". Ross Perot "gets it". Thom Hartman "gets it". But the Bushys and the Clintonites don't get it. What they envision as some economic eutopia is not my America. And it isn't a vision of America that you should defend or fight for.

We've all heard about the Ft. Hood shootings where thirteen people were killed and thirty others were wounded. The shooter was a Moslem who shouted out "God is great" when he did the act. He was a psychiatrist and underscores the truth that psychiatrists have among the highest suicide rates of any profession. This guy was unhappy and got bad job reviews, but somehow he was promoted to Major last May. The warning signs were there but they were ignored. As you know Eric Harris of Columbine shooting fame, was taking Zoloft, and the drug was in his system when he died. I've heard about the danger of seretonin uptake inhibitors for twenty years, that these drugs caused either uncharacteristic violence, or suicide. People should think twice about the semi divine aura we ascribe to the psycho-therapy profession. Many doctors, like the late Sydney J Adler, believe pills are the solution to everything and that it all stems from a "chemical imballance in the brain". You probably have read enough of my writings to know I don't believe this on the whole, but that the human Soul is far more complex.

This is kind of my "neener - neener!" paragraph. Fred Price's wife developed cancer of the hip or something and for a period of time Fred Price was regularly chiding his congragations in his sermons "I know you you people don't go to the doctor. It isn't because you have faith Jesus will heal you, you're just afraid to go to the doctor for fear of what he might tell you". Well, he might tell you that you have cancer. But do you really? New research has suggested that Cancer is not quite what we predicted, ie. that it is progressive and irreversable. Instead the presence of cancer cells indicates the state of health in the body, much as it does in the economy, and that a healthy body knows how to repulse cancer cells and destroy them. In this country our early cancer diagnosis rate has never been better. Yet our mortality rates from cancer are not going down. There seems to be an epidemic of over-diagnosis and over-treatment, not to mention over-worrying. Fred Price forgot to add worry into this equation. Before Halloween of 1997 it was a long, long, time that I had gone without seeing a doctor of any kind, save for dentists and eye doctors. Going so long a period without seeing a doctor didn't kill me, did it? I'm still here. I do believe in sending a little supplication prayer up to God now and then to let Him know that I'm here and thinking about Him.

We are going to meditate on the truth about "Circles". Last time I told you about the births and deaths of universes. And have you noticed that Universes are spherical. I'm not sure all of them are but let's go with the egg shell view for now. Circles are posessive things. They see themselves as complete. They are willing to bend time and space to their will to make themselves seem infinite. Given leave, a circle will go on forever. The limited has become limitless for the time being, and the time being is never ending and circular. This would seem to imply that time itself is circular and repeats itself, as the Hindus claim. Atoms are circular. You penetrate their spherical shells go go for the golden nuggets within, and the atom reacts violently and starts a chain reaction of all its buddies. Universes are formed when a circle of time and space is drawn around itself. The Universe has no need for anything outside itself, and neither has it any place for it. And yet expansion that is inevitable in itself, eventually results in the death of the universe, as it eventually lacks enough cohesive ether binding force to hold itself together. As such a Universe is born of great violence and dies of great violence. (Selah)

And now I'd like to get into the real of Eight Golden Truths. Just by way of review, can you people tell me - - pay attention, class- - can you tell me what three dimensional geometric figure that's symmetrical- - - has eight sides? I'll give you a little hint. All of the faces are triangular, yet when you cut the figure in half in any direction, what you have is perfect square surfaces. And here is the kicker - - all of the cardinal points touch the surface of a perfect sphere. What I'm going to do is give you these eight truths now, and develop them, either in the next posting of this blog, or we may jump to "Skeletons from the Closet" and you'll have to read it there. I haven't decided yet. These truths are kind of a Roreshock test in that, like Dylan lyrics, your mind might interperet the sayings differently, than I will subsequently develop them.

Experiance is the mortal enemy of "Pure religion". Reality is the mortal enemy of dogmatic false belief that prides itself on not needing anything to justify itself. Anything that needs nothing real to justify itself, has no real "right to exist". I welcome experiance - and if it is an experiance with God - this is for the better. Behold, even a Bad "something" is better than a perfect "Nothing". A Christian who needs nothing to justify his existance most likely HAS nothing to justify his existance. Reality is the mortal enemy of the unreal, and Christian theology is unreal. Some say that they have had a bad experiance with God. But people learn from experiance. Would you have fate take back the experiance from having ever happened, only to have the individual go on in perfect bliss ignorance, till the time comes when he has to have the experiance Again? (Selah)

Circles are posessive things; violate them at your Peril

Sometimes, things are exactly as they appear to Be - even First Impressions

When all else fails, look at the computer program text

You have a billion here and a billion there and pretty soon, you're talking about Real Money!

In the long run scheme of things - Adam Smith must be satisfied

An entity too big to fail is too big to exist. This also holds for true for Religion, as well as Corporations.

A God with the power to give you everything you need, has the power to take from you everything you have.

Experience is the enemy of Ignorance, Superstition, and even Bigotry

Election Results Are A Mixed Bag

I did not watch any conservative broadcasts today. I imagine there was great jubilation at the victories of the Republicans in both the Virginia and New Jersey contests. I guess you could say "See I told you so", since so often my blogs are "ahead of the learning curve" to use yet another Rush-ism. But in upstate New York, the Republican being driven out of the race by the Right Wing ended up ill serving their cause because a Democrat was elected in that New York House district for the first time since Whigs held that office. In Maine they voted to legalize medical marijuana but they did a thumbs down on gay marriage. Someone today said that in the 31 referendums where gay marriage was put up for a popular vote nation wide, the homosexual lobby has lost in all 31 of them. That should send a message to us all if true. Meanwhile in New York Mayor Bloomberg narrowly won a contest where he was expected to win by a landslide considering he out-spent his opponent ten to one, or perhaps more than that. One can draw no overriding trend in yesterday's elections. Being an off year election there was an understandibly lower voter turn-out everywhere as liberals refused to vote, in the case of Virginia not finding much in common with even the democratic candidate.

Thom Hartman has leveled a novel new charge against the biggest corporations. He claims that giant corporations actually SEEK OUT government regulations because they will easily be able to afford all the attorneys they'll have to hire to deal with them, but smaller companies will be driven out of business. It would seem that we have a government of, and by, and for big business. Corporations are granted rights of Freedom of Speech for example, in areas where a government would not even grant them to human beings, such as the right of FOX broadcasting to put out deliberate lies over the air. One person was fired because of this because they were doing a piece on genetic food engeneering, and the network told them to lie outright. When put to a trial by a Jury of his piers, the plaintiff was victorius, but FOX news appealed the case and the appeals court overturned the jury decision. Many say that health care is an inherent right of every American. I did not used to believe this at all and when the Clintons came out with their Health Care program in 1993 I was solidly against it. But one can say that since them I have been "educated". We liberals believe that education is the solution to a whole host of problems. We spend fifty percent more for health care than any other first world country, and we get much less for it. Corporations, as we are reminded, are creatures of the state and created with the express concent of the State. As such they really "owe" something to the State in terms of conforming to the norms of society. And today the Health Care companies don't pass the comon decency and fairness tests. Many I imagine would regard the activity of health insurance companies in this country as nothing short of criminal. I'm thinking of that term "zeitguist" or "spirit of the times". Martin Luther King said that nothing is more powerful than an Idea whose time has Come. I believe health care's time has arrived. Many believe we should not have to wait till 2013 for all these public options to kick in. Conservatives still are laboring under the delusion that the Republicans are going to win big next year, 2010. I see no reason that if the economy continues to gain ground, that the democrats can't be the ones to pick up house and senate seats, shades of 1934 in Roosevelt's second year in office. I don't believe that the average Independant voter out there has really thought out his political positions. He needs to be educated on the relivant issues. The tea baggers are spent. The old saying isn't true - the one about tea bags getting stronger after being emersed in hot water. Show me a tea bag that's been used and I'll show you one that makes a weaker cup of tea. Think about it.

The Christian Right is convinced that President Obama wants to wreck this economy by causing hyper-inflation like the Weimar Republic and after a state of chaos insues, then a Dictator will step forward that will begin buying up, not gold, but land. According to Glen Beck it's all about buying up the land of private investors and polluters such as coal companies. They say that the carbon tax will only both add to this inflation and hasten the destruction of the economy and all private business in this country. Of course many of the same "talking points" are repeated again and again over the internet. You will hear of death pannels and how Obama really wants nation-wide subsedized abortions on an ever widening scale. Some of the more grandiose people will even claim that the government on the lines of Nazi Germany will institute a Eugenics program to abort, blacks, kill the infirm, and sterilize the genetically defective. Some even envision that stem cell research will lead to an all new cloned Super-race. How do you go about dismanteling this string of frightful and hysterical beliefs? I don't know if some Christians will ever listen to the Truth. Their own self-generated thought-viruses are too strong. Of course many watching the movie "V" will assume that these liberals aren't even quite human but might be space aliens in desguise with lizzard skin and a human veneer. I'm as patriotic as the next guy and if I thought that any of this was true I'd be the first to enlist in the Right's cause.

Burt Lombard alias Mick Ronson had this view of the Christmas tree ornament view of the Universe. In another illustration Burt said that the Universe was like an air bubble floating in a bottle of Prell shampoo and that "out beyond" is the Sea of Green. I would like to tie in a few things together at this time, only the secret behind the births and deaths of Universes, generalized plural. Let me go back to something else you people may be wondering about, though, about "The Decider" of what is the Soul and can it be measured. Some may say "Did you know that they now have demonstrated that the brain physically changes once it has made a Decision and Intends to do a specific act, be it go see a prostitute or whatever." The brain responds to visual impulses before the Decision is made, and the brain also responds AFTER the decision is made so that we onlookers can "detect the new intent" in views of the brain. But still there is that THING that MAKES the decision. We've never managed to isolate that, and that is what I am talking about. A computer will "Do whatever it's told to do". But you can't use that kind of flow-chart model for a human being, or a higher animal. Some of you others wonder about this notion of "time going flat" as if Time itself could vary in thickness of depth, like a snow bank being much higher in some areas than in others. Well, think of the camera and optical term of "Depth of focus" only think of it in reverse. That is, with a telephoto lenz there is a small "depth of focus". But let's reverse that and call this DEEP time. Whereas with a concave lenz what we would have is what I would call shallow focus in that you see everything clearly at once. You see the near and you see the far. Those in the telescope realm are what you would call living in DEEP time. They can only relate to people in the same "time zone" much as a telescope or telephoto lenz can only focus on areas at one time that are the same distance, with a small tollerance. Having said all that let me confuse you a bit more by saying that ANY hyper-light existance may preclude ANY mass or gravity as we know it. Remember that where relativity is concerned, Gravity is time, or we might say the Depth of Time. Hence ANY hyper-light travel may preclude ANY resemblance to our time and space. As Astronomy Cafe reminds us, to outrun light is to outrun gravity, where there is no time-gravity coerrifient, thre is no time. OK now let us get back to the birth of Universes. I am allured by the idea that the creation of a Black Hole is the creation of a new Universe - with its own dimensions. But now - how does matter in this new Universe arrange itself? As a clump denser in the center? Think of the Igloos the Escamoes build. They are as it were shells of fitted ice chunks. They are held together by a "dynamic tension" of gravity pushing the blocks together and the friction of the blocks, which equalizes this pressure. Chuck Smith speaks of a universal "repulsive force" because of the structure of the atom where "an atom shouldn't stay together". This "repulsive force" would tend to repel matter away from the Center. But as in the case of the rings of the outer planets, gravitational attraction tends to generate perfectly concentric, circular rings. Is a picture emerging. You have such as you would have in a thin shell like a Christmas tree ornament. Now some may ask "Well, if space is in a Circle or sphere, cant you make a Decision just to go in the outward direction and escape the shell". The answer is "No" because Einstein says that if light can't escape a black hole or a Universe, then YOU cant escape it. Time and distance will play tricks with you and you will be no closser to your goal than you started. As I have said, it's possible that wherever you are, you think you're at the Center because there is always "more space out there" however warped and curved. But this theory has a kicker. Suppose you should migrate to the center of this "shell". What then? This is what you would call the Eye of the Universe which would opperate as a de-facto worm hole in that travel in real space-time would be greately accelerated. The Orion Federation has spoken of terriestrial (our universe as we know it) and telestial- - or hyper light speed. But the Federation has also stated that there is a "celestial" existance. Could this third state be where you escape the shell entirely? Also there would be a way by which you could prove circularity, and that is if you passed the same object over and over again, as in a Star Trek episode like "Null Space"

Living in a World of Minutia Obsession

This is Tuesday November 3, 2009 and this morning what happens when I don’t smoke for extended periods becomes evident. I become a little O C D, that is, I obsess and worry about aimless things either possibly missing items or things I have left undone. I shouldn't be bothered about that missing crucifix that Gary gave me the summer before last, after all, I'm not Catholic. This morning it was tough sledding to get cigarettes. Tuesday mornings are the worst time to borrow because everybody is out. After being turned down by numerous people finally John let me have a few puffs on his cigarette that he got from Janet. It was a good brand with a high nicotine content. The TV was working good this morning with KTTV on. I went out again and Nancy let me have about ¾ of a cigarette she was smoking, that I paid my last seventeen cents for.

In the news people are obsessing over these three elections they are having today. It looks as if the democrats will lose all three of them, and if they do I say it’s irrelevant. There is one in way upstate New York where the Republican running dropped out of the race, Afghanistan style, in favor of the whacko Conservative candidate, who will win now. The Republican endorsed the democrat. Then there are the governorships of Virginia and New Jersey, which both appear likely to fall into Republican hands. This in the big scheme of things means little. Of course you know I wish the Obama administration didn’t arm people like Glen Beck with so much amo such as - -essentially doing what Republicans do best. They appeal to “The Big Picture”. They are always talking about five year plans and fifteen year plans. A democratic candidate might ask a man or woman on the street the price of a bagel and coffee and gauge the economy that way. Democrats are more micro, and “people oriented”. People like Larry Summers and Timothy Geitner are more given to grandiose abstractions. But in LA county the next unemployment statistics will be higher, as more corporations plan to drop employees. And that’s what people really care about.

For the fourth day in a row we had that lousy brand of oatmeal. Our remedy for having pancakes seldomly, which was our policy before last week, now that situation has been remedied. We no longer have pancakes at all. We had a fried egg and toast with grape jelly already on it, and we did have sausage. It’s always good to get more meat in our diets. Marsha gave me a cigarette to smoke after breakfast.

Hamid Karzai is the defacto winner of the Afghanistan run off election because the other guy withdrew from the November 7th election. You wonder whether the CIA used muscle power to intimidate him out of going through with the campaign. I guess you better not say you want something unless you mean it. Because now President Obama has comitted himself to making a decision now on those 40,000 troops. . Randy Rhodes thinks the heroin trade in Afghanistan is affecting our military policy, and she reviewed the facts of Iran Contra. What we need is the moral purity party. Where only candidates who aren't compromised by shady business or financial deals are allowed to run. Perhaps I should join the green party. Last week Hillary criticized the Pakistani leaders for knowing where Al Qaeda people were hiding out, and refusing to tell us. Pat Buchannon threw one of his curve balls from the left saying that we should always take foreign leaders at their word and not state the obvious.

Arab leaders want all Israeli construction on the West Bank stopped before negotiations begin. And I agree with them since they are illegal under any standard. I watched videos on this last night. Also Israel has been evicting Palestinians from their homes on the West Bank, and this isn’t too kosher, if you know what I mean. If President Obama is really the raving Palestinian sympathizer that the Christian Right claims he is - - then - well let's just say Israel would already have had a peace treaty crammed down their throat whether they liked it or not. The United States has the power to make the Israeli nation eat dirt. It's all a question of which we value more, Mideast peace and justice for all, or saving Israel's pride. This whole functional apartite situation with native Palistinians just is not just or fair.

The Orion Federation takes exception to my remarks about the Muhajadeeb last week, or the freedom-fighters of Afghanistan. The fact is that patriots of any country will rise up and defend their homeland be it the USSR or the United States that is invading. The Federation still believes the nation we have to worry about is Iran. The problems we are having with Afghanistan and Pakistan will prove inconsequencial in the long view of things. But with Iran we have a virelent threat that people like Pat Buchannon can't see because his motto is "I never met an anti-semite that I didn't like". Russia may ally itself with Iran in the coming years.

I watched the video of Glen Beck I was going to do a blog on today. Glen does these extended twenty minute comentaries on FOX using the blackboard and other visual aids. Except that Glen is regarded as so nutty that I didn’t want to keep bad company. Glen has the theory that the money supply went up 120% in the past year and back when the money rate was hiked only 13% they had to jack the interest rate to twenty percent to counteract that. So this time they’ll have to jack the interest rates up close to two hundred or triple percent. This would be intolerable. Glen says that the “power” has not yet been applied to the money flow and we’re all just “waiting for that to happen”, which Glen says is certain. My own theory is that the banks and brokerage firms operate as a giant vacuum cleaner more greedy than a black hole, and for this reason we will never have inflation now because as a requisite money has not only to be in circulation, but we pretty much need a full employment economy that can’t take up any slack. 1980 and 1981 were a different case, and things aren’t at all like that now. We don’t have cost, push, or demand, pull, or any other kind of inflation. We don’t have any inflation at all, basically.

Sixty Minutes had a thing on the H1 N1 virus and growing all those chicken eggs to culture the virus, and dress it up in a tux. They say they will kill the virus before use in a vaccine. That Baree syndron people got in 1976 from a Swine Flu vaccine won’t happen again. Basically the H1 N1 vaccine is as safe as any other vaccine you take today. After this was a segment on the Yakasoo or that Japanese mafia organization where people are tattooed all over and have portions of fingers missing as punishments for “making mistakes”. One thing about this evening- - I was very alert the whole evening, if not anxious. My first borrowing of a cigarette was from Joe Drisco about a quarter after six. I did not attempt to have another cigarette the rest of the evening.
