All The Puny Little Take-down Artists

LATE BREAKING NEWS  Three years ago, President Barack Obama came into office with a very good idea: He would reach out to the mullahs in Iran to see whether they were interested in rethinking their hate-based relationship with the U.S.  So Obama, despite criticism from Republicans, wrote private letters to the Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and made a public appeal for a fresh start.  “In this season of new beginnings, I would like to speak clearly to Iran’s leaders,” Obama said in a message broadcast in early 2009. “We have serious differences that have grown over time. My administration is now committed to diplomacy that addresses the full range of issues before us, and to pursuing constructive ties among the United States,Iran and the international community.”  When the Iranian people rose up later that year, Obama only tepidly endorsed them, and he was measured in his criticism of the vicious manner in which the Iranian leadership suppressed the protests. He may have been motivated partly by an assessment that the uprising wouldn’t succeed, and that the U.S. would still have to grapple with the Iranian theocracy. His approach was neither morally nor emotionally satisfying, but it showed a certain cold logic.  Unfortunately the President was the one turned down cold, and now has to live with his decision.

I’m starting to not give a crap about who wins or doesn’t win tomorrow night in New Hampshire.  They’re all disgusting except for Huntsman and Paul.  We’ve already eliminated two of the very worst candidates and more are certain to follow.  Mitt Romney for one is starting to make some really serious gaffs that could cut his big lead in half in just the last two days, possibly bringing it down to single digits.  Romney said he “knows what it’s like to be fired” when he doesn’t.  Romney says “I like firing people who don’t give me the service I desire”.  I think it was in reference to choosing Health Care plans, but you know the quote is going to be used out of context.  Romney said “I know what it’s like to sign the front of a check, as well as the back”.  Wouldn’t we all like to be the ones signing the front of the check, but we’re not.  But now Newt Gingrich enters the picture.  There is this possibly sleazy “Take down film” that runs a half an hour which is sort of horror piece on Romney’s many corporate takeovers and the laying off of people, and their bereaved interviews.  Of course we get that dark music.  Apparently some rich Nevada casino operator working for the Rick Perry campaign came up with this commercial.  He “shopped it around” to all the political candidates.  Huntsman and others and even Rick Perry himself turned it down.  But Newt was just sleazy enough to take the bait.  He has been giving all these little plugs for it in the weekend debates.  So you have the king of liars calling another candidate a liar.  I’ve been saying that Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich’s and Rick Perry’s votes all added together would not amount to a quarter or 25% of the votes cast tomorrow.  Just watch.  Right now Mitt Romney is in first place, but like I say, fading fast.  Ron Paul is in second place and just might overtake Romney if current trends continue.  And John Huntsman is in third place.  That leaves the best of the bottom tier of candidates Gingrich, Santorum and Perry- - no better than fourth place and may I suggest it’s time for at least two of them to drop out, and personally I wouldn’t mind having all three dropping out.  Randy Rhodes said there was Bain Capital and Bain Investment or something.  One was a capital venture corporation with risk capital investing in new ideas.  But they say Mitt Romney has been risk averse all his life.  They say that he only ran as governor for one term because he’s had his sights set on the White House for a long time.  Mitt won’t invest new capital in a new venture, but rather prefers to take going, established corporations and financially eviscerate them.  Scoop out all of their working assets and replace it with corporate debt.  Kind of like what happens to you when you become a Born Again Christian.  Then Mitt charges a fat financial management fee and makes off with all their money.  If I was a stock holder of a publicly held corporation that someone wanted to Pritivatize, I tell them to go screw off if they wanted to buy me out.  And I don’t see why the others wouldn’t do the same.  I feel as though it’s like the government offering up a cheap price for your property and if you don’t accept it, then they’ll just take it anyhow.  As I said my whole conception of what a “Leveraged buy out” is entirely different from Randy Rhodes or Thom Hartman.  In my conception of how it works you use your OWN capital to increase both your upside AND downward financial risk.  I cannot with any definitive specificity say that whether what Mitt Romney did was blatently immoral or not.  In this film they talk about four companies in particular but they say there are “dozens, just like these examples”.   And then there was some audio Chris Matthews clip I believe that was played where there was a lot of laughter at Romney’s expense.  The host was calling Mitt a trained dog that barks Republican tea party platitudes on command.  Of course if he were elected President he wouldn’t have to be anybody’s dog.  Is Chris Matthews aware of that?
Randy Rhodes made a pitch for Obama Care.  Of course some good has come out of it.  Keeping your kids on your policy “keeps them in the system” and insures that more people will be covered.  Randy wants young and healthy people in the pool to subsidize the rest of the population with bad livers in need of a transplant from drinking too much or whatever.  Medicare is really the dregs of the system right now having only the oldest and sickest of the population.  Once it gets some young and healthy blood in the system, rates will go down as the Vampire system is strengthened.  Randy talks about Staten drugs for preventing heart attacks, even those are the most dangerous kinds of drugs you can take.  Also with Obamacare,  85% of the income of an Insurance company has to go directly into services to the customers and not in profit or overhead.  Of course you know the Insurance Companies hate this.  Of course Mitt Romney is leading the charge to repeal Dodd Frank because he doesn’t think the consumer deserves a break.  Obama as president has a lot of prerogatives.  The office has many perks not available to the rest of us.  The only thing that could impede the reelection at this point would be some new crisis in Iran that the President does not get on top of soon enough.  So if President Obama has a rabbit to pull out of a hat concerning Iran he better do it quick.
You know there is a song “Count your many blessings”.  But sometimes it’s the problems that arrive one after the other that you decide one find day to sit down and actually count.  You’ve heard of the party of No, but this is the list of No.  At lunch today we had some cabbage soup with a cold cut sandwich and Fritos and an apple.  We also were served a cut of hot water and a thing of instant coffee.  We’ve been getting this instant coffee routine with a distinct Decaf flavor for days now with no explanation.  So “No Coffee”.  There is No Loretta.  Someone said she’d be back today but Marcia at Dr. Levy’s class said that “they took her to another place and the Mormon Elders don’t know where to find her so they can visit her”.  This is not good news.  No Birthday Gift.  For almost the first time since living here I received no birthday gift.  There was no Mormon gathering last night.  I went down just after six thirty and sat down on the couch with Bob Stradley and another guy and waited a few minutes then left.  As it approached seven I returned down to take another sweep of the place and still nobody.  Later on I heard a roomer that Seid and Nicky were really converted Moslems.  There were hints that perhaps they were declared unwelcome here any more.  Dr. Levy did not show up at noon as usual and I was freaking out.  He did not make it till twenty to two and they stayed only a short while and could not take me to the bank.  Oh yes- - I called the bank this morning and found I had a 34 cent over-draft.  I’ll comment more later on.  I called up Terry after lunch and again later and there was no answer at his home.  There are of course no Bowl Games.  It was true for last year I guess, too.  But it’s really starting to freak me out when everybody else is talking about them.  No keyboard.  The first time I booted this computer this afternoon the keyboard didn’t boot.  This has been a recurring problem since last Thursday and I imagine it will only get worse.  Are you counting all of these up?  There is the whole conthiscated back up hard drive saga that’s gone on since two Mondays ago December 26th.  Along with is nothing in the My Documents main directory.  No SSI increase notification letter this year.  I don’t remember ever seeing one and I looked through my files this morning and there wasn’t one.  Of course I found out the hard way that I received fifteen dollars less than they had been saying forever with the TV and the media and the 3.6% increase stuff and all.  Dr. Levy just said “It’s going to be all right”.   That’s the only sane thing to do right now is make yourself believe it.

Well, what the hell.  It's early January and already it's fire season in Southern California.  Vast areas of the United States are lacking in snow.  It's all thanks to la nina.  Of course we need to always keep our brave fire fighting personnel in prayer.  Today on the soap opera Jack Deveroux took the moral high ground and decided to "be the better man" by understanding the complicated relation between Jennifer and Daniel and not trying to exploit it's weakness the way a lesser man would, but instead sought to strengthen it, for the mutual benefit, actually, of all three of them.  In extra terriestrial news - Mal Evans appeared tome last night with some questions I could have used.  The heading was "Are you kosher, or are you pork" and there was a Walrus metaphor to these quiz questions playing on a lot of "inside humor".  The questions were things like, "Do you have recurring dreams of waddeling through wastes of snow being chased by Escamoes with spears?"  or "When people look at your photograph, to they have fanticies of you being next to some scrambled eggs or a Denver omlet on a plate?"  And there is "Do you have secret sexual fanticies about a girl named Janet?"  And then there is "When you listen to early E L O music, do you have visions of the spirits of dead ansesters?"  and then there is "Have you ever been allergic to strawberries?"  and "Is your marital life disturbingly evolving into the sort of relation Ronald and Nancy Reagan had?".  Then there is, "Do you ever fear that the only thing you done was Yesterday?"  The bad grammar is significant.  Mal Evans told me that he had tried to talk to John Lennon on Sirius A because he had some things he wanted to talk to John about - and even things about me".  I did not pursue the obvious question here.  Mal said that he tried to contact John but those on Sirius A told him John was at a big Elvis Birthday Celebration Blow-out.    Of course is my guess is the purists on Sirius A would be thinking things like "I guess we're gona have to put up with all the inferior cultural riff-raf".   I just wasn't in the frame of mind for this kind of humor.  Mal did say something about "We're doing what we can for you" but I have no idea what that entails.  All I can say is that just because Jack Deveroux came through his great crisis, is no guarentee that we all do that.

Ron Paul Shines Light In N H Debate

This is the Sunday morning update and I just listened to the David Gregory debate on Meet the Press with these six presidential candidates.   John Huntsman said something that's a very key element and that is establishing Trust with your political leaders.  I can think of five "Tea Party" type statements I would like to take into any fundamentalist Church.  These five statements are LIVE FREE OR DIE, which is New Hampshire's state motto.  The second is GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH.  The third is WITHOUT TRUST YOU HAVEN'T GOT SQUAT  I just coined that one.  The fourth is OFF THE PIGS  I guess Eldrige Cleaver used to use that expression and you saw it on signs.  It down't refer to killing anybody as people had supposed.  It means "Get the Pigs off our backs".   I frankly was in an "Off the Pigs" mood last night.  The fifth is SIC SEMPER TYRANUS  - loosely translated means "So let it be with Tyrants",  which is what Brutus said after the death of Julius Caesar.  It occurred to me that of those Five people I listed as the most dreaded impediments to my Christian Faith - - four of the people on that list have never had children.  I think that's rather telling. One of the five I wasn't sure about, who has never been married but is in an extended relationship of homosexual nature by the wording of the article.  As far as I know the name is of the male gender in a foreign tongue.   Children are not these wind up toy doll things Christians imagine them as in some pie in the sky belief in Heaven and all that.  Children are real people.   Neil Savedra this morning told one of his biggest lies this morning (among so MANY lies)  He said that hope in the temporal world will always let you down.  No.  This IS a temporal world.  We are temporal and Life is temporal.  Without Time there cannot be Life as we know it, and if Neil had any background in philosophy he'd know this.  He was right when he said Hope was a remedy for Sadness.  But the key is REAL hope and not this Obama pie in the sky crap that he talked about in his Book or preachers preach about every Sunday.  Hope that isn't here and now is useless.  You talk to me about twenty years from now or some time after I die- - I DON'T CARE   If you don't solve today's problems today- - you can bet your Tomorrows already have a shadow hanging over them.  By the way the one female on this of Five I had- - she would be more whacked out than ALL SIX of these candidates.  If there was a number below Zero that's where her trust would be.  And now I'm going to past in a spelling corrected copy of this document.  Whether it comes out in blue font or not is something we'll all be surprised by together.  OK, it didn't.  Let me conclude this intro with a favorite Beatle line:

"You're telling all these Lies -
About the good things that we can have if we close our Eyes"

In a generally disgusting New Hampshire debate tonight there was one person who clearly shone above them all and that was Ron Paul, and I honestly the results of that are going to be reflected come Tuesday   First of all we have the question of who cares about the Military and Newt uttered a few platitudes.  But then Ron Paul pointed out that Newt got five deferments and that Ron Paul served despite the fact he already had a wife and two children.  Ron Paul also reminded us all that thousands have died in wars where US Security was never threatened for a moment.  But there has been an enormous costs to the aftermath of these wars in medical and psychologial therapy.  Paul pointed out that our hostile policy twords Iran may be counter productive if we drive Iran further into the arms of China.  Paul pointed out that only he is proposing substantive cuts in military spending.  But the most important thing Paul mentioned was, if we really thought we needed to go to war than why the hell didn't Congress haul off and declare war, and in this way we would know we had the support of the American people.  We could contrast this to the statements of others.  John Huntsman probably handled the way I would have if i was up there.  We have done a lot of good in Iraq and Afghanistan but now it's time for our troops to come home.  However Perry, Santorum and Gingrich will have none of that.  They all said that the minute we left Iraq that Al Qaeda or Iran or somebody was already couching at the door and the nine years of war was down the drain.  If I were one of those veterans who sacrificed so much, this is a message I wouldn't like to hear one bit.  Actually Rick Perry said if he were President he'd send troops back to Iraq.  Newt Gingrich said that it goes beyond war and we have to bring in Pakistan and whatever.  Newt seemed to believe we needed to sprinkle fairy dust over the whole Mideast region to stop them from being Moslems or whatever.  Many of them said that Obama can't be trusted because he never uses terms like Islamo-Fascism.

The media is saying that Mitt Romney won this debate tonight because nobody took him on.  They didn't want to challenge or attack him.  Newt started to on Bain financial but then his case was so weak as to the credibility of the sources he sighted, that nobody took him seriously.   Romney again scored points against Huntsman in his debate about a trade war with China.  He made the more than obvious point that we are already in a trade war and we are the losers.  China is stealing our computer technology on a massive scale and manipulating our currency.  Romney said that Huntsman is paroting the soft on China line that Obama is touting.  Romney showed more "moderation" in the stupidy of others.  Perry, Gingrich and Santorum were very hawkish and Romney stated that we should set the bar to comittal of troops to battle pretty high.  Romney also uttered the blasphamy that our government actually NEEDS some taxes, and that means from corporations, too.  Also Romney was the one that said higher employment was actually good news.

Ron Paul's other home run hit out of the park was on the subject of race.  It was the best knock out punch of the entire debate that left all the others reeling.  Ron Paul was asked about some racially tainted newsletter not written by him that came out twenty years ago.  Ron Paul pointed out that our justice system is biased against blacks.  We prosecute Blacks more for drugs and often skew laws in favor of Whites right down to the type of cocaine they use.  There are more blacks in prison disperportionate to their crimes, and more Blacks by far receive the Death penalty as opposed to rich people.  Others may flap their gums but it's what happens in the real world that counts.  Of course only Ron Paul wants to get rid of the Patriot Act.

When it came to cutting spending Ron Paul said he was the only one who "really wants to do that".  Ron Paul pointed out the billions if not trillions lavished on Wall Street by the bail out of 2008 whereas the middle class and poor were not bailed out but left to languish in this long recession.  Paul accused Santorum particularly of being a classic big spender voting for every congressional pork barrel project.  Rick Perry piled on accusing Santorum and Gingrich of being Washington insiders and that only himself and Huntsman of Utah were governors who actually run a government and did so successfully.  Rick Perry said New Hampshire needed to institute a right to work law, abolishing labor unions and this would solve their jobs problem.  Both Perry and Paul jumped on Santorum in particular for spending.  If there is an individual who made a "worst impression" it would be Santorum.  Twords the end of the debate Santorum seemed to have a lot of pent up resentment and got really testy on a lot of issues.  Most of them centered on how badly the President had handled foreign policy around the world.  Santorum hates the President.  There is certainly no doubt about that.

In terms of the economy, I think a lot of these people need to read The Little Red Hen from their childhood.  Oh I forgot, none of these candidates can read because they had to drop out of school in the second grade to work in the coal mines, or some such thing.  They all said the reason why this economy was taking off was because Republicans had gotten some measures through, and the economy would be growing faster if Obama "wasn't in the way".  Of course the EXACT opposite is true, rendering all these jokers looking like a bunch of assholes.  Rick Perry said that the United States had three hundred years in oil reserves and I believe it was Newt who said that if we produced our own energy we could stand up to the Saudi Arabian leaders better.  So what was Newt doing in congress all those decades, playing with himself?  The Republicans have all had AMPLE chance to become energy independant and they are now just bold face liars, and the people of New Hampshire will see through this.  Only John Huntsman appeared to be even a little radional with this whole landscape of slash and burn tax cuts, implying that perhaps there really ARE corporate loopholes.

We then have the whole area of social and moral issues.  Santorum was put under the hot lights and stuck by his claim that we should have a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, and that a nation wide ban on gay marriage only makes sense because we need "uniformity among the states".  There is an area where I do agree with Gingrich and these fellows.  This is on the idea of discrimination against the Catholic Church and not working with their charities any more.  As such the Obama administration has made innocent children suffer who would otherwise be helped.  Nobody raised too specific questions concerning vulnerabilities of individual candidates and there seemed to be a "no attack" rule- - pertaining to Romney in general, and also pertaining to people's inconsistencies and contradictions concerning their abortion stances.

I predict that both Huntsman and Paul will show surprising strength on Tuesday and that Romney may surrender much of that twenty plus point lead.  I think Gingrich, Perry, and Santorum together won't ammount to twenty percent of the vote, and the question will be why these people are even in the race.  Now they say that Romney holds a two to one lead in South Carolina over his many competetors.  But they are all are such prima donas that none of them are willing to bow out of the race.  So it's almost as if there is an unspoken conspiracy to give Romney the nomination without even putting up any real fight.  (Selah)

Showdown In New Hampshire

"Who is it that dares disturb our peaceful New England shores?

There will apparently be two debates in New Hampshire this weekend.  I may be watching football when tonight's debate is over and for this reason I may not be posting.  I can only assume that they are now down to six candidates because of Michelle Bachman's departure.  The reason why Rick Perry is preferable to either Gingrich or Santorum is that I don't believe his foreign policy is as expansionist or brash as the other two.  Perry is the only one of these three to attack Wall Street itself for the Recession.  He is not a Washington DC and so his K street connection probably isn't as intrenched.  Also Perry isn't in favor of building a fence at the Mexican border like some others were.  As to Perry's view on vaccinating twelve year olds, this probably was a lot more beneficial than any concerns of some whacko parents.  It's strange but his heart was in the right place.  Also Perry does actual executive experiance as governor and knows better how to deal with an actual budget. Another reason why Perry might be seen as a winner is that he HS a winner.  With the other two, their last official acts were being voted out of office.  Perry is a popular third term Texas governor.  I imagine the good people of Texas feel really secure in their homes knowing how many executions have occurred in Texas of bad guys. Of course the other reason to vote for him is that perhaps he's just a place holder for Romney, but maybe I shouldn't say that.  I appreciate the line by Perry's wife saying of Cain's "999" plan that 'When I hear "999" I want to call 911"  But in the mean time here is a thing we moved from an earlier posting, and we inserted new material in that older posting to replace it, to fit more in with what is germain to that posting to elaborate on my ideas there.  This Below is about Santorum.

It’s amazing how Stephanie Miller and her chums can keep up this bubbly humor satire air they have on that program, since the things the Republicans are very un-funny.  In fact they are deeply troubling and I fear for the future of our culture.  This Santorum guy seems to be setting the political propriety bar to new lows.  His platform reads like some kind of a Michael Moore political Horror movie.  First of all he would eliminate all federal funding for contraception, apparently of any sort.  He says that contraception enables people to “do stuff that they shouldn’t be doing”.  Does that also mean a married couple trying to avoid pregnancy?  And he said that as President he would issue an edict nullifying all State gay marriages, as if he could constitutionally do that.  He then talked about how there is a “gay problem” in the Military, though representatives of the Military insists that there is not.  I thought there might be but if the officers themselves say there is absolutely no indication of any problem of “lack of cohesion” than who am I to question their judgement?  Then he says that “Blacks above all people should be against abortion because Blacks are used to not being counted as people”.  I guess this is an allusion to the three fifths of a person clause in the Constitution regarding Slavery.  Personally, I wouldn’t go there.  Isn’t it strange that people like certain people talk about people with handicaps and such that were almost aborted?  They have great empathy for them, but for that other Weirdo in their lives, mainly me, she has no empathy.  This is of course Christians are even allowed to call other Christians "wierdos".  There seems something vaguely- - racist in what Santorum is alluding to here.  When it comes to health care and needed prescription drugs Santorum’s solution is “Just cut out the pay TV cable and you’ll be able to afford them.   According to Santorum we don’t need to issue food stamps because “People are too fat already” and should now live off their excess blubber or something.  The problem is with a newby like Santorum, they have had even less “Seasoning” than Gingrich and so don’t know how badly their off the cuff remarks will “play” with the public at large.

Well the Medicine Man gave two cures -
 he said "Jump right in"
One of them was Texas medicine -
the other was just railroad gin
But like a fool I mixed them -
and it strangled up my Mind
And now people just get uglier
- and I have no sense of time.

It's just she doesn't fit in well, with what you teach and say
It doesn't help us if we're inconsistent
They only need a small excuse - to put us all away"

Attention voters in South Carolina and New Hampshire.  If you simply can't bring yourselves to vote for Mitt Romney because you regard Mormons as a cult, then of the three remaining choices, vote for Rick Perry.  He's way better as a choice for a whole host of reasons than either Gingrich or Santorum.  I mean - who needs all that Washington insider crap?

Saluting the Portland Trail Blazers for kicking the LA Laker's ass the other night in the Rose Garden.  That team has way better cosmic credentials for it's a victory for our side.  Hats off to the Portland fans and keep up the good work!

OK all you Bible freaks.  This commentary is dedicated to those of you who actually Read it.  We turn to the address in Revelation to the Seven Churches.  Church number three, Pergamum, in this case.  The name means "bad marriage".  So what is a "bad marriage".  Well it's like nitro-glycerine or something.  It's combining things that should never be combined like ultra reactionary fundamentalism and the Cultic teaching of Ayan Rand, who calls herself an "Objectivist".  Of course there is nothing "Objective" about any of the Cultic views of the tea party.  But they are a spawn of evil.  First of all we are told they dwell "Where Satan's throne is".  OK you get the prize, in this case it's near Washington DC or wherever that K Street cult that all the whacko congressmen are members of, with their own secret agenda.  This group is a "small party", from which the Bible says the Antichrist is destined to emerge.  We are also informed that these people in their genisis did not start off entirely bad.  We are told that they "kept the Faith in the time of Antipas".  You want to know who Antipas is.  I'll give you a hint.  He's obviously a good guy and he was "Anti" something.  And I'll even give you his initials, J C.  J C was one of the most moral men ever to - BLANK.  (you complete the sentence)  Now we are informed of two major sins of this church.  One was the teaching of Baalem or Balak or whatever.  This is a guy who rode on an ass on a trek to Israel on a self appointed mission to curse God's people.  But he had a little problem with his ass.  And his ass talked to him.  So when God can't find a human vehical when he needs one, he is not above resorting to an animal.  But the Bible tells us that at this time he was unsuccessful in cursing God's people because it was only HE who had the problem.  God did not have a problem with them.  Now there are people who seemingly want to curse America in that they want to destroy this economy by getting the Fed to pull the plug on the money supply.  They tell us things like "America doesn't produce anything here any more" and "America's exports are near nothing".  Neither of these statements is true but in this Presidential Campaign you will hear them with increasing insistance from the other side.  The second sin is that of following the teaching of the Nicoleadens.  Who are they?  First of all their founder is said to be a guy who tried to "buy God off" and Peter cursed him.  Today we are confronted by people who want to buy government off.  Next we are told the term means "Conquerors of the leaity" or in other words - denying the leaity access to God directly but somehow intervening on behalf and instead of God to personally issue their OWN commandments.  Today there are those who would say "Since America is English speaking, we should have English as our Official language".  So is it any stretch for these same people to declare "Since America is a Christian nation, then we should have an official State approved Religion".  As such we will be told which religions are "acceptable" and which ones are not, without regard to God's word but more on their own desires and lustful averice.  King Herod, who I attack in my Prophecy Book, wanted to be the big cheese in Jerusalem and figured if he built the people a Temple then somehow he "owned them".  Later on when Another came to the temple he saw the money changers and the wheeler dealers.  God said to come to Him with what WE had.  But like with "script" money and the "company store" with corporations of old,  today the people are told that you have to come via "Us" if you want to please God and send in your check to this radio station and get a free plastic Jesus to put on your TV.  We are informed in conclusion that if these people do not repent of their sins that God Himself will personally come and do battle against them with the Sword of his Mouth.  In the end we are told that if anyone repents he will receive a white stone.  In other words he won't be blackballed by the rest of God's Congragation.  You know, a lot of people make enemies who come back to get them later on, more at God's direction in many cases, rather than of their own wills.  So it shall be with the tea party.  Just remember that T E A stands for "Total Economic Ignorance".   The Bible states "As far as it is possible with you, to dwell in peace with all men".  But if it isn't possible to do that, if you run out of ideas to reconcile, then it's up to God either to perform some meracle of reconsiliation, or once again at God's discression- - leave those who Oppose Him to the wrath of their enemies.  And so the mad hatter's Tea Party will at last come to a close.

Is This America's Finest Hour?

This whole political campaign season has been conducted under such a cloud of moral darkness that it borders on the demonic.  But it’s folly because of relative factors to think President Obama is any hero in all of this.  When you cone right down to it there is barely a dime’s worth of difference between the way Obama has run the nation, either foreign or domestically, that varies from the basic course set by George Bush.  For instance Obama will not make a decision on the dirty oil Canada to Texas pipeline because if he decides in favor of it, it will alienate his political base.  And if he opposes it the oil companies will throw all of their support to Romney and he’ll win. If the President had any character he’d tell us what he’d do right now and let the chips fall where they may.   His foreign policy might be called the foreign policy Bush would have liked to have had with both drone attacks and political assenations on the rise.  Obama supports the Patriot Act and now this new preventative detention and no charges provision has been passed and the President signed it.  Sure we aren’t doing renditions any more.  And we haven’t done any water boarding- - for a while.  Obama points out that even with the military budget cuts we will still be spending more than in the last year of the Bush administration, when military expenditures were increasing at an astronomical rate.  Today the President has something to crow about and even Bill Handel says that is a “deal” of major magnitude or a B F D as Joe Byden might say.  Unemployment has notched down from 8.7% to 8.5%.  Last month’s figures were revised upward.  In the last six months employment has been up more than at any time since the first half of 2006 and this 8.5% is the lowest since apparently the March of 2009 report just one month in before the stimulus could even take effect one way or the other.

No serious person is going to call the Tea Party people either Christian or moral.  They have no moral compass and we all have long known that.  In the book of Revelation there is spoken of a coming Church of Pergamas, which means “Bad Marriage” between Christianity and “something else”.  With the tea party you have this meeting of the minds and spirits between fundamentalist whackadoodle Christianity, and the highly A Moral teaching of Ayan Rand, who is a professing Atheist, but she gives every other Atheist a bad name.  There is no doubting that.  Her novels are sick and morally depraved.  Not that I’ve read any of them.   The New Hampshire debate is likely to evidence some sort of psychological meltdown by Newt Gingrich as he lashes out at all of his political enemies who are conspiring against him.  Santorum will get asked all of those politically embarrassing questions that he won’t be able to answer.  Now they say Romney will not only run away with New Hampshire, but that momentum may well enable him to win next in South Carolina, particularly if all his conservative foes are divided in their vote, which come to think of it is really stupid of them.  In the game of political chess, Romney has run of the board.  He has all of the big money.  He has John Mc Cain, Bob Dole, and Tim Pwelente behind him and possibly Rick Perry, too, who again may be staying in the race just to help Romney.  The others should know that Romney has a lot of money and knows how to use it.   It would seem that whether Romney or Obama wins in the fall we are in for continued corporatocracy- - - and continued erosion of individual citizen’s civil rights.  This whole tea party thing can be viewed as in its death throws after only a three and a half year life.  Like a star going super nova, it will burn bright and is still dangerous, but then it will shrink and go dark.  It’s like a diseased organ like a spleen or an appendix or gallbladder, which is not removed in time will come to infect and kill the entire body.  Not even Big Money is fool enough to want to see some sort of hysterical far fringe induced business depression because they know if it’s Big enough even Them will be hurt by it.  Donald Trump is too smart to be a tea bagger.  This whole period will be some kind of a fantastic footnote in school history books fifty years from now.
In other frekazoid news Mitt Romney strapped the family dog to the roof of their car driving a long distance in freezing weather.  The dog became traumatized and pooped liquid poop all over the car windows.  So Romney got out and hosed off the car and hosed off the dog- in the freezing weather.  Neil has not expanded from the Jesus Christ show and is now doing “Jesus” bagels, which are lighter and fluffier than the normal Jewish kind Bill Handel likes.  Neil and Bill are best buds.  No doubt they celebrate Christmas by attending a witch’s coven on Christmas Eve as some religiously neutral activity where they can both agree.  Rush Limbaugh says that President Obama has a secret plan to allow people to escape their mortgage payments but it’s so secret that yesterday the Obama administration announced it wasn’t happening.  Bill Handel says that Santorum’s nomination at the Convention will insure the reelection of President Obama, as well as supply an endless source of nightclub humor.  Rush Limbaugh talked with Donald Trump over a game of golf a couple of weeks ago and Rush tried to get Donald to say he would NOT run as a third party next year but Trump would not say what his plans were.  It’s speculated he’ll run just because he’s a media publicity hound and one caller said Trump was secretly an Obama fan.  Louis Powell in 1971 was the one who wanted conservatives to infiltrate the Courts and the Schools and the Colleges and also conceived of the idea of a Conservative propaganda news network.

THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL IS FROM THURSDAY

I went back to sleep (never even checking the time) and woke up around 2:30.  I had just had a dream where I was in that “other life”.  Certain things have this recurring nature.  As the guy in that “other life” I again went back to that audio microphone tape I had made sometime in November of 2000 when there was a warm Santa Ana wind blowing.  I was troubled and had a lot to say.  Later on I was looking at some computer records like a TEVO or something where you could enter words into a Search line and it would pull up a video file.  I remember one film I had shot was we (people, friends of mine) were at some Marine park, and they were shooting off fireworks later on in the evening.  Apparently I had recorded a lot of TV sitcoms this one night, which I guess was Halloween, and they all hat that plot as their center piece, including a Flintstones episode I’d never seen before.  In a later dream segment I had been woken up from sleep when a loud party was in progress so I joined that.  But later on I grew tired again and wanted to go back to bed but I saw all these little kids crashed out on beds together in groups, and I thought “If any of them are on my bed, they will be harder to get off than cats”.   But I went back to my mattress which was on a floor flush with all the other mattresses.  The room was crowded with mainly females in night attire.  Loretta was there and I had seen her earlier- - sometime.  She was wearing a red thing with a little white in it.  I’m not sure whether it was a nightgown or a “day dress”.   There was a really bright full moon shining in.  At any rate after I awoke it was clear I wouldn’t get back to sleep and so got up and had a cigarette- - just one.  Larry and Janet were out there engaged in involved conversation.  I’ve been noticing Janet having extended conversations with a lot of males around here lately, with the glairing exception of myself.  There is that “wall” with Janet that has always been there since the days of Marcus Blackwell.

.  I would like to comment more on this whole exchange between Will Horton and his grandmother, Dr. Marlena Brady.  The things she said to him border on a breech of - - propriety - and I think she could be brought up on medical ethics charges- - assuming the things she said to Will were within the confines of doctor patient relationship.  To put it bluntly, “She should know better”.  Here is a really troubled, messed up teen, perhaps verging on turning homosexual.  If his ex girlfriend hasn’t yet come to this conclusion- - it’s only because it’s too unimaginable to even contemplate.  If she thinks about it a while and pieces together all the clues, she, too, will come to this unhappy conclusion.  You know last night a little before nine I was out on the patio smoking.  And a thought came into my head that I’m not sure was even mine.  A voice whispered to me “What do you suppose Dad would say to you if you could talk to him now about all this Judy stuff and all of this right wing whacko stuff that’s been going on with the Republicans?”  And I go “Well, Self, I’ve never really thought about that one”.  Perhaps the question was spawned because of that scene in It’s A Wonderful Life where 12 year old George Bailey is facing perhaps the greatest ethical dilemma of his young life.  And then he passes by this poster on the wall that reads, “Ask Dad; he knows”.  But alas “Dad” is unavailable for counseling being embroiled in pressing business matters that would one day take his life.   I guess I kind of have to be careful here because unfortunately for me, Dad was in a long process of emotional disengagement process with not just me, that was caused by a multitude of factors including encroaching deafness, and perhaps too much Prozac, and advancing age in general and becoming “set in his ways” and was in a process of psychologically “shutting down”.  Sometimes you’d like to go back and rewrite the past, but you can’t.

. There are five people whom if I had never either met or known of, my chances as a success as a Christian would be greatly increased.  The five are Neil Savedra, Gene Scott,  Bill Halliday, The Walrus (in the story I did three months ago) and the fifth person I just talked to last on the phone today.  After that phone call Stu Baby paid his second visit of the day.  In the morning it was to say that Loretta’s absence might be because of sinister occoltic that are gunning for both her and me.  In the afternoon he warned me that voting for President Obama would be bad for my karma because at times seeming opposites can be from the same occultic force, such as the Sutterans.  He said he isn’t telling me how to vote but if he were me he’d vote green or something since I live in a “Safe” state for the President like California and my not voting for him would not endanger his reelection but as he reminded me, “You know what happened with you when you voted for him the last time”.  The whole thing about her trying to get me thrown out of here seems bizzaro in the least.  There is that not at all veiled allusion last February made as an idle threat.  And then there was today.  Again Stewart told me this morning that I needed to “watch it’ as far as forces arrayed against me.

Wake Up And Smell the Coffee

Well the question is when is everybody going to wake up and smell the coffee and realize this economy really is picking up.  Unemployment claims were down to 375,000 and they say anything below 400,000 is good and the unemployment rate itself is expected to dip tomorrow according to Randy Rhodes.  New car sales are up 325,000 which is the best since 2008.  At the current rate of decline in the unemployment rate there is no reason to believe we won't be below eight percent by June.  Sales are up ten percent in the past year.  This is a good thing.  Our exports as a nation are second in the world.  Apparently we have gone from 800 Billion dollars from the bottom of the recession to 1.2 Trillion dollars now.  Of course most job gains have been in the private production sector, which should make the republicans happy.  However we are reminded by Jerry Brown's actions today in California that government cuts are still being made and layoffs in government are continuing.  However the government may reassess as the economy continues to improve. We as Americans can be proud of this and that we do actually produce things here.  I’m not going to write these things to Dr. Levy in a letter because I’m afraid he’ll be among the ones saying it’s all just a vast media conspiracy to make President Obama look good.  But nobody is advocating that we have either a totalitarian or a socialist nation.  President Obama in actuality has been the best friend big business could have.  As Randy Rhodes put it, what we want is Keynsian regulated Capitalism.  Even Ronald Reagan’s success can be attributed to successfully employing Keynsianism.  There are also ample recorded instances of Ronald Reagan comprimizing and back-tracking from his own positions in the name of functional expediency.  There are films where Reagan urged both the closing of business loopholes and raising the debt ceiling.  If Santorum’s grandfather came here from Italy they he knew that Italy in 1925 was the farthest thing from a - - socialist country.  It’s even likely that if Santorum’s grandfather was a coal miner, then he was the member of a labor union, something I don’t believe you’d be able to join had he stayed in Italy.  Santorum should really get his terms correct.  I know people get caught up in emotions defending their own side.  This is a human reality that psychologists alert us too all of the time - - but the thing is when someone gets into a habit of lapsing into inaccurate statements, it’s a habit that only tends to grow with the passage of time, and eventually it catches up with you.  (Selah)
In terms of this whole Santorum fetus tragedy it is really a case where they had an unwanted death of a fetus.  Santorum’s wife was deathly ill and the doctors told her that her fetus was infected and had to be aborted because if it wasn’t, the infected fetus would spread to the mother’s whole body and kill her.  I didn’t know that the Santorum family was another of these “fetus in a jar” cases.  I don’t know what customs they have in other parts of the country but it’s certainly strange behavior around here.  Santorum and wife made young children as young as two and four touch the dead fetus and say good-bye to it.  And they transported it to their grandmother’s where they held a funeral ceremony for the fetus.  I fear is this story becomes general knowledge, which it probably already is, that it won’t bode well for Santorum’s Presidential chances.  Liberal New Hampshire is a real test of metal for any republican candidate and Santorum is no exception.  I’m sure everybody has already written off Mitt Romney as the winner of New Hampshire.  So South Carolina will be the next real battle ground.  The only thing is here it will be Mitt Romney facing three conservatives,  Santorum, Gingrich and Perry, all splitting the conservative vote.  We don’t know if Romney made any slightly shady deals with Perry about staying in the race.  We know that Perry was ready to quit the race Tuesday but after he went back to Texas and he was talked out of it, presumably by Big Money.  But I don’t see why Santorum can’t just say to Gingrich, “Look, I got more of the votes in Iowa but you are the better candidate so for the sake of the Party and our chances this year, I’m bowing out of the race and endorsing you”.  After all Mitt Romney reached an accord with John Mc Cain.  Some are skeptical of that partnership but none the less it’s a reality, and a major leg up for Romney.  At some point somewhere there is going to have to be a major tide in actual votes for some candidate other than Romney, is Romney is to be denied.
President Obama announced his new and slimmed down defense budget today. However one must do a reality check here and keep in mind that US defense spending actually is greater than the next top ten spenders.  Of course we should have that peace dividend now that the Iraq war has been brought to a successful conclusion and the Afghan war is winding down.  The idea of not being able to conduct two simotanious ground wars at once is understandably considered too risky to even contemplate, for some.  There will also be an according cut back in the troops that the military will need, which means more troops will be seeing their last assignments and coming home soon.  Also the President wants to bring the military into the 21st tentury with modern fighting practices, which will no doubt include things like improved killer drones and perhaps lasers.  Someone pointed out that virtually every speech at the Iowa caucus meetings was kicked off not by talk of unemployment or the debt, but rather the professed hopes for some war with Iran.  People wouldn’t even be thinking in terms of starting a new war if they didn’t think we had the money.  At least that’s what Randy Rhodes says.  Personally I don’t thinks candidates should talk too much about what they either will or won’t do in Iran.  I don’t see why the enemy should be tipped off.  Santorum says the President should have supported the democratic movement in Iran in June of 2009 because they are the good guys.  But Santorum also says that we should have opposed the democratic movements in Egypt because Muberek is our trusted ally and the leaders of the democratic movement are stealth pawns for the Moslem Brotherhood, or some such thing.

Dick Chaney made a deal with these oil frackers in Ohio because tword the end of his Vice Presidential term Chaney issued an executive order allowing industrial poisons such as hexane and benzine to be used as "lubricants" to be pumped into the ground to facilitate natural gas extraction.  Formerly these substances had to be eliminated in high heat furnaces but this costs a lot more money.  Clearly the climate in the nation now is to allow energy production under riskier circumstances because we are in such desperate need of domestic energy.  The problem here of course is pollution, such as tap water catching fire.  Nonetheless natural gas production should continue to rise domestically, exerting a downward force on energy prices generally.

Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the auto imune system attacking its own muscles.  Women tend to sudder from this disease more than do men.  But now to do MRI's and other extensive research there is considerable more hope of being cured today than there was.  They FDA has recently approved eight new drugs for the treatment of this disease.  One woman was blind in one eye and highly impaired and after taking one of these new drugs, experianced an amazing turn-around and is much more functional.

Here are three animal stories.  One cat was euthanized in one of these chambers where they pump the air out- - twice.  And yet the car survived and was rubbing up against one of the attendents in perhaps misplaced gratitude.  There was a horse who fell into a pit and there was despair of it getting out, but the horse mustered up all of its strength and made it.  And there was a dog named "ghetto" that was owned by a family in Downey, California.  Somehow it escaped and made it all the way to Merina Del Ray, and the family saw the dog on TV and of course stepped forward to claim it.

I am blogging this tonight because my mother board may be going completely out.  In two previous boots the keyboard driver failed to load, and it most likely will happen with increased frequency, if I can get the driver to load at all.  So if I’m going to E mail anybody with any last minute messages it better be today.  Because the day of my getting a new computer seem to almost be continually put off, on a regular basis.  I will be watching the Saturday night Republican debate, of course.  Perhaps Newt Gingrich will explain to us just what these horrible lies are that Romney is alleged to have told in these attack adds.  We would all like to be informed.   On the radio they say that Mitt Romney has faced increasingly hostile crowds, who don’t like his economic message.  To answer Romney’s question, there are now eleven countries with a greater per capita income than the United States.  However I will say in Romney’s defense that most European nations are just slightly below the United States in per capita income.  Back in 1992 during the Rodney King riots, French people marveled that in this country ghetto people live better than middle class Frenchmen.  If you’ve seen “The Tennant” you know what I mean, where you have to use a common bathroom down the hall.  I guess what a lot of us are just saying is that the United States is a blessed nation, but we can still do better.  It’s the nature of human beings to have rising expectations.  Not to have expectations of a better future could indeed be seen as a sign of poor mental health.  Sometimes I worry about my own mental health.  I too by necessity need to think in positive terms.  Some say that 2012 will be some kind of a pivotal crisis year for the United States that may well determine our direction and destiny for decades to come.

Flavor of the Month Next To be Eliminated

This whole campaign these past few months has been just sickening. As far as I'm concerned right now, Rick Santorum is a piece of human excriment and to endure his words so any time period at all is more patience than any human being should be asked to Endure.  Rich Santorum in his endless list of proclamations has stated that the notion that women get abortions because of health concerns is bogus.  Santorum has stated that abortions even to save the life of the mother are wrong.  And yet Santorum’s own wife HAD just such an abortion to save HER life in 1996 and once this fact becomes general knowledge it will sink the Senator’s Presidential campaign right on the spot.  Santorum’s policies if in effect in 1996 would have killed his own wife.  So we hear all these little anecdotal stories about this and that.  But we never seem to hear the brass knuckle truth from these people.  Santorum heads up a whole long list of radical political stances.

In 2005, a controversy developed over an article Santorum wrote in 2002 to a Catholic publication. In it, he said that liberalism and moral relativism in American society, particularly within seminaries, contributed to the Roman Catholic Church sex abuse scandal. He wrote, "...it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm."[76] The comments were widely publicized in June 2005 by the Philadelphia Daily News by columnist John Baer. He told readers, "I'd remind you this is the same Senate leader who recently likened Democrats fighting to save the filibuster to Nazis."[77] In Massachusetts, Santorum's remarks were heavily criticized, and on July 12, 2005, The Boston Globe called on Santorum to explain his statement. The newspaper reported that Robert Traynham, Santorum's spokesman, told him, "It's an open secret that you have Harvard University and MIT that tend to tilt to the left in terms of academic biases. I think that's what the senator was speaking to." A spokesman for Mitt Romney then Governor of Massachusetts, also rebuked the comments. Senator Ted Kennedy (D-Massachusetts) delivered a personal rebuke to Santorum on the Senate floor, saying "The people of Boston are to blame for the clergy sexual abuse? That is an irresponsible, insensitive and inexcusable thing to say."[78]  Santorum has stood by his 2002 article and to date, has not apologized. During the controversy, he said the statement about Boston was taken out of context and that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee had targeted his article, written three years earlier, to coordinate with Kennedy's speech against him. Santorum continued to agree with the broader theme of a cultural connection, saying that it is "no surprise that the culture affects people's behavior. [...] the liberal culture—the idea that [...] sexual inhibitions should be put aside and people should be able to do whatever they want to do, has an impact on people and how they behave." He again agreed with the premise that it was "no surprise that the center of the Catholic Church abuse took place in very liberal, or perhaps the nation's most liberal area, Boston." He recalled mentioning Boston because in July 2002, he said, the outrage of American Catholics, as well as his own, was focused on the Archdiocese of Boston.[79]

Here is where Santorum comes in on free speech.  In 2005, four young women were ejected from a bookstore in Wilmington, Delaware, where Santorum was scheduled for a book signing, after they were overheard expressing opinions critical of the senator. The American Civil Liberties Union filed suit, which was settled in 2007. As a result of the settlement, the Delaware State Police were required to pay legal fees for the plaintiffs and provide training to officers on free-speech rights. The Santorum staff members who requested the ejection were required to apologize and to relinquish their salaries for the event — $2,500.00 — to the plaintiffs in damages. A police official stated that while they had not violated the women's First Amendment rights, they "decided to settle the matter to avoid the cost of prolonged litigation."[93]

During the lame-duck session of the 109th Congress, Santorum was one of only two Senators who voted against confirming the nomination of Robert Gates as Secretary of Defense. Santorum stated that his objection was to Gates's support for talking with Iran and Syria, because, in Santorum's view, it would be an error to talk with "radical Islam".[102]   During his third term re-election campaign for his Senate seat against Bob Casey, Jr., Santorum introduced the term "Islamic fascism", while questioning "his opponent's ability to make the right decisions on national security at a time when 'our enemies are fully committed to our destruction.'"[33]   Santorum says  “I believe we are at war with Islamic fascists and I singled out Iran and Syria as examples of Islamic fascist regimes.  Leaders are obliged to articulate this threat and to propose what is necessary to defeat it. That is my purpose, and our national calling. The American people have always rallied to the cause of freedom once they understood what was at stake. I have no doubt that they will again.

Saturday January 7th New Material Inserted Here.  Today is the birthday of Joan of Arc, hero of Faith and heroin saint of France.  In the words of the Maud intro, "She was a sister who really cooked".  Of course I have a problem "hearing voices" but the Voices that trouble are the very much material kind.  All of us are sickened by these Child molestation scandals both in the Catholic Church and at Penn State.  It troubles me that someone with the status of Rush Limbaugh would become so passionate in defending the head coach of Penn State, who helped to cover it up.  Of course Rush has never had children so what would he know.  He is another piece of human excriment who should be removed from the radio waves.  Let him retire with his Viagra and his Oxyconton and his fourth wife, and retire behind the safe walls of South Florida where he can live peacefully in his own world of self delusion.  There is too much of a "conservative echo chamber" today because rather than be informed by the internet at large, people take refuge in their own like minded whackos to socialize with in closed venues such as Facebook, and never even are aware what is going on in the real world.  People think World Net Daily is the be all and end all when it comes to Truth and Accuracy of news reporting.  But what did World Net Daily ever do to gain your trust?  Did World Net Daily die for your sins? Tell me what it is they have that causes you on the right to accept whatever they say with such utter and undying Acceptance without flinching?   We know of course  the problem with Catholic Priests is that too many of them are attracted to so called celebeszy from the ranks of homosexuals.  We know the whole idea of Priests being unmarried is Unbiblical and in first Timothy it even calls the practice "Doctrines of Demons" along with disallowing certain foods to eat, such as onion rings and pizza.  Their hypocracy is utterly putrid.  The only reason why the Papacy instituted such an edict was so that people would give all their personal wealth to the Church and not to their kids.  That conflict is as old as the flood.  The Bible teaches that an Elder "should be the husband of one wife" and also that he should "manage his household", which to me means a wife and kids.  Scripture also says "He who will not provide for his own family is worse than an infidel".  People can be real hypocritical when it comes to money.  They tell the poor all the time "Money can't buy happiness".  But they don't believe that.  I've learned that money in itself can be a means to an end being a way to improve your own life and thence the lives of those around you, and even bring you closer to God.  It's not the money per se, but the important thing is whether you are Giving it to others, or trying to Take it from them in the name of some Dickensian piety.  "Do they have to pick the tax payer's pockets once a year on Christmas?  Are there no debtors prisons?  Are there no work houses?   In this way they call the poor "thieves" and impute avarice to the poor that it is rather they themselves who are guilty of.  That Potter fellow in "It's a Wonderful Life" was ready to file charges against George Bailey, when his own thievery over the years pales anyone else's at all, assuming it even existed at all and in this case it didn't.   So they lay in wait trying to entrap another in a fault - - but in their own eyes only impute the highest ethical qualities to whom they refer as their Christian rich brethren on Wall Street.  So they conduct their praying sessions with such fanfare, which should more properly be called Preying sessions.  They invoke their spells and curses on the poor and pray that judgement day for themselves never comes.

.  [from Wednesday's journal, Jan 4th - suitably edited]  But somehow I mentioned I didn’t like Mitt Romney’s saying he was against the bailing out of General Motors.  I pointed out that they had paid back the loan and was now prospering.  [BLANK] turned very negative at this first defending Romney and then going on a rant about how the whole thing is a big fraud and the only way to deal with some problems is to let “natural selection” or whatever take place, and to “get the thing over with” and she likened GM to some cancer infection on America and the only way to deal with it was to surgically cut it out.  She then went on a continued rant about the national debt.  And then as she has been wont to due, turned her sights on me and attacked me for not realizing the value of a dollar and “[Marcus] you never have to risk going bankrupt because you have your rich Mom there to bail you out”.  The utter stupidity of this remark is Amazing.  [unfortunately this next sentence must be edited out]  If she is referring to the twelve dollars Mom gave me for Christmas, this is also silly.  If she is referring to my living here need I remind her the State is paying for that with my SSI payments each month.  Mom hasn’t contributed a dime.  Of course this ties in with her “How come you’re so lucky to live in a facility where your needs are taken care of when my mother is fallen on hard times?”  Once again it was NOT my idea to live here and I had a FAR BETTER deal with Anaheim Housing..  I incurred financial loss with my decision to move in here that I didn’t even make.  This idea of when I attack any politician to somehow retort with a personal, below the belt attack on me, illustrates the fact that further discourse with her is pointless.  And [BLANK] has achieved something I never thought she would achieve.  She had supplanted Bill Halliday as the worst Christian I have ever met with the most destructive impact on my- - er - - uh - - faith.  If I do anything in my blogs I deflect my hostility that is rightfully directed tword [BLANK]- - on to other candidates and issues.  She does the opposite.  She has made me the repository for all of her hate and venim.  As she has with Obama, by the way.  I first became aware of her vast hatred of Obama while Hillary was still in the race and I asked her which candidate was the least offensive to her.  It surprised me she didn’t say Hillary, but then the enormity of her loathing of Obama came through.  The right wing at large has made Obama the repository of every racial and whatever slur.  Obama has put up with such racial crap from them in such a stoic manner, it’s like he’s not even human, because no human could take that kind of verbal onslaught without hitting back.  One person predicted Obama would commit suicide.  Obama isn’t that sort.  Nothing bothers him.  If it were me I’d be raising bloody hell with all the hatred thrown my way.

Santorum - a "Big Government" Conservative

First of all as far as myself, I am not a Big Government conservative; I'm a Small-ER government liberal, if I must be pidgeon holed in that way.  Clearly there is unimaginable waste in military contracts, and there is waste in giving away free money like Obama did in the first stimulus.  Not only am I for earmarks,  I believe that ALL funds should be ear marked, for what they were intended for.  I've heard stories about government agencies who have a surplus of funds at the end of the year, and so invent ways to "use up all the money" on frivelous expenditures, to insure that they will get More next year.  We don't need corporate welfare.  We don't need to subsedize the drug and insurance companies the way Obama Care is doing.  But all too often what Republicans really mean when they say "cutting spending" is "Stick it to the poor".  The programs for the poor seem to be the first, and often Only place they look to cut expenditures.  And the funny thing is the tea party people are trying to scare retired folks by saying "President Obama wants to cut your medicare".  What kind of two-faced bullshit is that?  I don't see how certain people on the right (who have NOT gone nameless) can claim that they only will allow the purest of moral standards in government, and yet seem to ignore in total the whole Wall Street deboccle that Caused this recession to begin with.  And then they will say to this recovering heart patient just now getting back up on his feet "We have determined that your Fat content has been cut two percent and this throws things in imbalance, so here, eat this bucket of lard right now".  When people say "Let the economy recover so that jobs can return" I am all in favor of.  Gordon Gecko was a movie villian of the 1980's who made such statements as "i wrecked your father's company because it was Wreckable".  And he will go on to point to some piece of artistic crap on his wall and say "You know what I paid for this?" and quote some outlandish figure.  And then say ponthically "When you get to my status you realize that Money is the only important thing".  And now of course as Gecko gets out of prison he muses "It's funny, the things that I did that were illegal 25 years ago have become standard accepted business practice now".  And I say, "Well, Mr. Gecko, I just pasted over one of your great artistic master pieces and didn't have to pay a red cent for it.  And copyright laws aren't even a factor since I shot this picture myself".

Rich Santorum after tying with Romney losing by just eight votes yesterday, has now become the seventh official "Flavor of the Month" if you count all seven men running now and add in Donald Trump, and leave out Mitt Romney, who ironically has never Been a "Flavor of the Month".  He just consistently comes in first in every poll, that's all.  The Iowa situation breaks down this way.  Santorum and Romney were tied at 24% each with 59% of the people reporting.  By the time it had risen to 96% of the votes in, the numbers has risen to 25% and 25%.   Ron Paul stayed in third place and his numbers are 22% falling to 21% percent in the tinal tally.  Newt Gingrich was at 13% and rose to 14%.   Rick Perry was at 11% and dropped to 10% in the final tally, and Michelle Bachman was at 7% and dropped to 5% in the final tally.  So that's how the votes break down.  John Huntsman never took Iowa seriously.  I wanted to hear Rush Limbaugh's take on all this first hand, without just guessing.  Today Rush Limbaugh admitted on his radio something that  what Thom Hartman has been saying for years in that people like George W Bush are not against "big government".  Rather they embrace it.  We saw this in medicard part D and two wars against Islamic countries and the Patriot Act and Renditions and all the rest of it.  Rich Santorum is merely carrying out a long tradition of Washington insiders promoting beaurocracy and big government.  Certainly the creation of the Department of Homeland Security is an expansion of "big government", don't you?  You knew that Bush got that term from the Nazis.  Rick Santorum is all for earmarks, which in reality are not a bad thing, but the people have been TOLD that they are so Santorum is very attackable on this issue, such as his supporting the "bridge to Nowhere".  Actually Santorum endorsed Arlen Specter in his reelection bid against Pat Toomee (?) of Pennsylvania a few years back.  Of course in the last posting, the top one right now in "Soap Opera of Life" we outlined all the ways Rick Santorum wants to get government into your bedroom.  With all the video cameras around now "privacy" as we have known it through the centuries is fast becoming a thing of the past.  And like I say, Santorum has the anti gay vote down good and solid.  Rush says that President Obama is going to try and run a campaign where he speaks of trimming the growth of government.  The President has even shown an inclination to want to reduce the corporate top tax to 25% if we can close up some of the loopholes.  So now Rush just retreates to the old addage of "Everybody knows Obama is a Socialist".

Let me make one thing perfectly clear, and I know it already is but it's worth repeating.  35 years ago in my early years as a Born Again Christian I would have NEVER embraced the sort of conservative beliefs that Judy, an in law, has been spouting with such frequency since the first of September of 2008.  I would have considered such a person not only completely nuts, but also as un Christian, because there are any number of verses in the Bible to refute them, including virtually the whole of the New Testament.  In fact such a person as Judy who was this vocal back then would herself rick being drummed out of Christianity as some sort of weirdo, legalistic fanatic.  So when I praise Romney it's a relative thing.  You can't be like those on the right who embrace money one minute, and then criticize Romney for using all the resources at his disposal for getting Newt out of the race.  Some have suggested that Romney is saying to Big Money - - "You see what I did to Newt Gingrich.  And if you give he the resources I'll do the same thing to the President come the fall".   You know who ( ) whom I talked to the other day was surprised I had Anything good to say about Romney. He reminded me that it is just not a man's past actions that you have to judge.  You have to judge what he says now, like reading Mein Kamph or something, to get his mindset on what he would LIKE to get done if he ever got that much Power.  And that is what's wrong with Romney.  Meg Whitman found out from the voters that they wanted a Governor of California and not a Chief Executive Officer.  Running the country is not like running a business.  This is particularly true if you believe that somehow you can "speed things up" and drive people out of their homes or oppose an intervention by the government to save General Motors.  The whole thing of darwinism and "survival of the fittest" comes into play in these people's minds.  The trouble is that you just can't "fire" the people of America and wipe their memory from the face of the earth.  Government doesn't work that way.  Besides Charles Darwin would be to first to call the "Evolutionary" process business have been under as anything "Naturally" occurring.  It's highly UN-natural selection.  Like I say the conservatives love Big Government as long at THEY are running it.  There was apparently some Nazi who said to his comad after a bunch of Jews had been exterminated "My God, we have sinned against Natural Selection".  Oh yes- - enlightenment comes- - a little too late.  Romney above all else wants to be THEE hero of the tea party and he will continue to work tirelessly to gain their trust..

Clearly what we need to do is bring back the term "Extremist' into our vocabulary.  Why did it work with Goldwater but not with the tea party?  Randy Rhodes used to have the saying "Love the fetus; hate the child".  Now Santorum has expanded on that to "Love the fetus; hate the mother, too".  Rick Santorum not only wants to disallow abortions in the cases of incest and rape, but even to save the life of the mother".   If Santorum was ever even a little "liberal" on an issue as he puts it, being so was done only for the sake of expediancy.  We know people will do strange things in the name of expediancy.  You know, at least Michelle Bachman had the decency to tell us in advance she intended to start W W III with Iran and let the people vote on it and decide for themselves.  And they did.  George Bush lied in his own campaign about his Intentions as President, and then fabricated a story at Weapons of Mass Destruction he knew absolutely was a falashood before hand.  Vincent Bugliosi wrote a book claiming that George Bush should be indicted by the World Court for War Crimes.  Many times bills in congress get secretly passed under shall we say - questionable procedures.  The US Senate has not allowed itself to go into recess because they knew if they ever did, despite being gone six weeks that President Obama would begin making "Recess appointments" the way President Bush used to do.   What's good for the goose is good for the gander, I guess.  The buzz is that the Supreme Court won't touch this issue but let the President do what ever suits his fancy.  Today President Obama appointed Richard Cordray, Attorney General of Ohio, to the new government post of Consumer Protection Agency.  The Republicans had to go along with the creation of this office, but they would prefer it was never put into opperation.  That's how these Republicans think.  In fact among my whacko friends there is a lot of talk about how the President will make liberal use of executive branch appointments in the next few months to bypass congress.  And I really can't blame him for doing this.  Some ethical issues are clearer than others.  Often Christians are so far to the right, however, that even a normal "conservative" would balk at some of the moral choices these far right tea baggers would make.  Should be stone women who aren't virgins on their wedding day, for instance?   Some people with moral tunnel vision just may be pure in sexual matters but corrupt as hell on everything else.  On a new defunct soap opera there was this young woman named Teresa who was "ethically challenged' even by Samantha's standards.  She practically raped this one man whom she was in love with by drugging him with a probably illegal substance.  As it turns out she got pregnent with twins by two different fathers.  And later she wanted to use her own womb as an instrument of murder by saying that both twins were not viable, and the doctor should kill the one that wasn't Ethan's baby, the man she was in love with.  At other times on the show when someone else was gravely ill- - - she advocated letting her die to let the fetus live, because she would like nothing better to see this other woman out of the picture.  Pat Robertson we are told today in the news has been "talking to God" again.  Teresa did a lot of that, and look where it got her.  Apparently today told God for a certainty just Who the next President of the United States would be, but that God told him to keep it a Secret.  Hartman points out that "keeping things a secret" us usually not part of God's standard opperating procedure.  Of course in Hebrews there is a man mention who "has neither father or mother or genialogy, nor End of Days".   And what if the "little horn" referred to in Daniel who comes out of a "small faction".  That could be the tea party.  Anyhow this man we know from history- - had access to travel all over the known world, and a man to whom everyone was accountable to, and yet This Man was accountable to no one, and in scripture he seems to have been given the gift of Infalibility.  This is true to such an extent that Scripture itself has to bow in deference, according to this individual, if Scripture conflicts with his own Direct Revelation from God.  (Selah)

I would like at this time to acknowledge any new readers who have just found us.  And it is my hope that you will make these blogs a part of your normal blog rotation schedule.  I also highly recomend you start with the now header blog of "The Soap Opera of Life" and get a lot of good contemporaty background from that. On a personal note my computer has been custom built and supposedly is "ready" now.  But I am informed that steps still need to be taken.  One person still has to load the software programs.  After this is done, someone else will load in the anti virus and all the other protective goodies I don't need.  And finally my personal data will be put into that computer and then hopefully I will be given back my external hard drive, that already contains virtually all of my data.  Till then I will not be exactly at ease.
