Remember: Do Or Die Means - "Do, or Die"

It's Do Or Die for the LA Lakers tonight.  Their backs are up against the wall being down three to two with the Oklahoma Thunder.  They just blew too many games at the last minute.  As to the LA Clippers they are gone - - done in by the San Antonio Spurs.  And the LA Kings have been put on hold temporarily from going into the Championship by the Phoenix - - and let's hope Stepheno's friends at the CIA don't do something to fix the game.  Austin Reed considers it Do Or Die for his marriage now and wants to waste no more time.  Little does he know that his head is already on the chopping block and his wife is holding the axe in her hands.  Some might think when it comes to play-offs or marathon dances or whatever- - it's easy to win because all you have to do is "Not Lose".  Jesus Christ made this logical error.  When the pharicees suggested he use his power to get off the cross they were not "mocking' him.  I'm not gay but this assertion of the pharicees here is an insult to every homosexual out there as well as every person everywhere who has ever been bullied.  Jesus exhibited pretty much NO empathy for any person who had ever been bullied by the more powerful.  You know in the Police Departments their motto is "Protect and Serve" and I imagine the Military has a saying very much like it.  They don't have the option of "not losing" when they are in battle.  They literally have to act- - and in a timely manner.  For a soldier it literally IS "do or die".  ABC news is doing this thing on teenage bullying thing right now- - with a thirty day sentense for the perpetrator- - the voyer.  You know if it were a woman he'd been making love to she might have actually sued him- - for major bucks- - and won.  But since it's another man some have suggested the Judge in the case "sent a message" just as Jesus "sent a message" to those pious Jews (and I use the term in its most honorable sense)  He said "No" to their requests that he pull himself down off the cross.  Some would say "Well they need to have their faith tested".  I see it rather differently.  WHICH act would give those Jews More Faith- - staying on the cross and dying or pulling yourself off the cross and surprising them all?  The later would make a lot more Believers and a lot Stronger- - Believers.  And if there is one thing the Bible praises in the New Testament is developing Strong - - Believers.  So in Jesus denial of that "save yourself' request- - Jesus is actually denying stated scripture in the Bible.  (Selah)

I was just spot checking in the past and I happened on April of 2008 when things were a whole lot better in my life- - that's for sure.  I talked like a guy who had just watched "Yet another debate where Hillary Clinton wiped the mat with Senator Obama".  From the tone of I words I seem convinced in my mind then that Hillary would overtake Obama in the race for the Democratic Nomination.  Hillary even seemed to have the inside track with the Super-deligates.  Obama was awkward and defensice and all together rather Ronney-esque in his performance that night, it seems.  Now just tonight ABC news is pressured to back down on the whole military "campaign" against Romney.  It's kind of like several days into the Normanday Invasion- - after our side had lost a lot of men but it was worth it because we secured the ground.  But now the equivelent of a fictional UN or maybe a CIA agent of Stephano Di Mira says "It's unfair.  You are actually Winning now.  THAT isn't supposed to happen!  You have to give the land back!"  So if Hillary had the issues and won in head to head debates with Obama, and had the more experiance, and had the support of the super deligates- - and also had the psychological momentum in having won most of the heavily populated states- - - how come "The Media" was saying that Obama had it sewed up by February like Randy Rhodes did?  Is all of life just a fixed crap game or what.  I'd like to know in that primary race of 2008 "What the Hell Happened?"

Allright - - if I've talked about this too much lately just tap me on the shoulder and tell me and I'll lay the topic aside for a while.  But I'd like to discuss the different between a real Prophet - - and just another Media Icon.  People like Ed Schultz and Thom Hartman  In fact I would not want Thom Hartman so big that he actually 'qualifies" to make the Nightly News.  Someone like Robin Gibb can pull it off successfully without any Ego problems, but then again - - He's Dead!  None of us likes the adage however of "A tree is best measured when it is down".  Hopefully we can secure a little Reward for our labors before then.  But the idea of some Thom Hartman fan club with T shirts and trinkets and Thom Hartman cigarette lighters and whatever- - these things would ill serve him.  Jesus can do that if he wants to with Chuck Smith as his Colonel Parker.  That's all Calvary Chappel is is a merchantizing device.  Ed Schultz and Thom Hartman are too smart to run for political office because for them it would be like taking a demotion.  You know, I imagine that John the Baptist LIKED preaching out in the desert because it meant the people had to come to HIM rather than he risk "contamination by the world" going to them.  So it's like the guru on a mountain or as Paul would say, "The Fool on the Hill". You GO to HIM and in this way you show a little volition and not having had religion served up to you on a silver platter.  (I hope John the Baptist doesn't have any lingering memories of heads on silver platters)  And indeed in our defense of Gnosticism one of the things we said about is that "God cannot come down and partake of our nature".  Perhaps I have told you (like an old man like Grandpa Simpson I fear telling the same stories over and over again) one time in the summer of 1987 of this bird out in the road just walking around.  It didn't appear to be wounded but it was like some cat or something that acted like "Who- - ME move? - - get out of the way?"  Well I thought of that sermon example of becoming a bird to tell him of the danger.  But then my higher self intervened "Marcus what are you talking about?  If you became just Like that bird- - you would be just as Stupid as He is". So it's like that Dylan song of "Rather than bring you up- - they just want to drag you down into the hole that he's in".  Bob Dylan also said (in the same song I believe) "You should know that it is not He or She or It that you Belong to".  This was the message of John the Baptist.  The Jewish Heritage is not the exclusive of either King Herod or the Temple Authorities.  These are vanities of the flesh.  Indeed I believe it was Crestus the "Egyption" who said, "And I will give you a sign.  Tear down this temple and in three days I shall raise it up".  Many apparently quoted this as him saying 'I will tear down this Temple made with Hands and raise one up Not made with hands".  I can't exclude this from being a kosher quote because there are Jews who believe just this.  Even today there are those who are cool on the idea of a Secular Israel because they believe that when the Messiah has arrived, the Perfect will supplant the Imperfect.  This is a lofty concept the Tea Party people hasn't quite grasped.  The thing is that "The Egyptian" may have believed NOT that Isiah said he would undergo death but that "He would be reconed as dead by his generation" and "The Lord will prolong his days".  I defy you to see ANY application of this scripture that Doesn't mean that a man's natural- - and I said natural life was extended.  Abraham according to some believed that "God wouldn't let him down" just as Alice Horton and her living counterpart Hope Brady believed "Stephano would not let her down" even though you had to be cryptic to catch the "escape door" and go through it and secure a lasting Victory.

Just call this paragraph "The Alternate Takes" like the Elvis Sun Sessions Record.  And now we begin:  We had hamburgers and French fries for lunch - - with lentel soup I dumped pepper in.  We had fruit.  I told John that so often on Mondays we are pressured to eat our cheeseburgers fast to hurry on and get into Dr. Levy’s class.  It’s almost the anniversary of Dad going to Dr. Taggie at St. Jude hospital for an examination about his ulcer to get another opinion and the doctor told us all how sick Dad was and had to be hospitalized.  I think my whole “frame of reference’ and self image took a turn for the adverse in the first half of 1966 so in retrospect that has to be called a bad period, even though at the time I didn’t see the full significance of the events like a counselor telling Mom that my school teachers, all except for Coach Francen in gym class- - saying that “Marcus had definite psychological problems”.  I mean even Miss Davis, who “I thought was my friend”.  We are now on page five.  What do you call an alligator wearing a vest?  They call it an Investigator.  Thank you, Ellen Degenerous.  Google plus had a silly video between a man and a woman, and also a preview of the movie “Star Wars – The Old Republic” and also game applications for Star Wars now.  I also corrected a minor glitch in “Giving out Directions” as well as added another saying or two.  This is after dinner.  Eye Witness news is on.  Apparently there are not that many “public” postings in Google, if what I saw is an example.  Donnie had tuna sandwiches for us.  Dr. Oz had a lady who teaches people to talk to their dead relatives.  Then there was a segment on flip-flops and orthopedic science.  Then I went outside and then had David Cruise on a little.  

This is Tuesday mornings and now Los Angeles only has one play-off professional sports contender after having had three just a couple days ago.  We can all rout the LA Kings on and hope they go all the way.  Those of you familiar with this flicker photograph know we goosed up the color even more than it already was, and there is one other change you "secret message" fans of "The Wall" just might pick up on.  You know- I think Pink was playing a little mental ping pong with John Lennon or perhaps "Handball" is the more apt analogy.  I think our ideas were being funneled through "Pink" who served as some sort of contuit ot something back in 1966.  In terms of that lady on Dr. Oz yesterday about contact with the Dead, I don't think you need to be Dreaming to contact the Dead.  Indeed my dreams have had nothing to do with contact with the Dead.  I dream about dead relatives from time to time but I don't ever feel as though I've had 'fresh personal contact with them".

News flash.  Sarah just announced the weekly meeting of the office staph where all the germs can get together and plot the overthrow of the United States government by the Philipines.  I was just lying down this morning kind of sleeping through Stephanie Miller and now the Latino guy comes on and I realized that over breakfast, where I seem t get a lot of my creative ideas lately - - I had all these ideas for "points" I wanted to instill in my next blog posting.  And for every "point" I'd give about five examples from my own personal life to illustrate it.  And then I was just lying down and I'm thinking "screw it; I'm too tired to do it".  I was even too tired to get up and make myself another pot of coffee.  Sometimes I think the democratic party is sleeping through this campaign.  According to Stephanie the Obama campaign organizers have been sleeping with people at Bane capital and now they are saying that it would be "unfair" to attack Bane capital in this campaign but that this is another topic that will be "off limits" the way all the George Bush abuses were "off limits' in the 2008 campaign.  And now for one of those life examples.  As you know I didn't get that many records at the Broadway shopping store but two I purchassed in the spring of 1975 were "Love it to Death" by AC and "Red Rose Speedway" by Wings.  If some movie producer were doing my life just as in that scene in "All the President's Men" that Woodward says never happened, you could have me in a conversation with a friend saying "Why would you get THOSE two albums?  They're awfully old and musically behind the times".  Of course there is that line in the opening song on "Speedway" that along with the lyrical gibberish goes "Who you gonna sleep with?"  Like I say the democratic party is already in bed with Wall Street.  Are they in bed with Bane Capital too?  You know many of us suffer from "fighting the last war" in THIS current season.  I think the Democratic campaign comittee is trying to do a rerun of the Stephen Douglas run for President in 1860 because you know that worked out so well.  There areas where "They just aren't going to take a position" or they are going "To leave the decision to the individual states" Like I have suggested they do on gay marriage.  But Randy Rhodes points out that "Civil rights expansion when put to a vote of the people will always fail".  Of course there is another album I purchasses at this same Broadway.  On Friday November 16th of 1973 I bought "Mind Games", and that album had only been out a week or two.  I didn't waste time buying that one.  In those days I had my brothers fast turntable that he purchasses from Bob Q back when he was rooming together with a bunch of guys in the house on Menerva.  And as such with the fast turntable I was "acclamated" to that speed.  So there would be songs such as "Tight A$" by John Lennon I'd be doing these hand gestures at the radio as if to say "Pick up the tempo - - pick up the tempo".  Well, I certainly wish the democratic party would "pick up the tempo" because they'll be left at the starting gate if they don't.  Let me tell you a "Steven Douglas" campaign will not "DO IT" in this year of 2012.  Bane capital is an example of Romney being caught with his pants down - - and I want all my reporters out there taking snap shots when it's happening.  And if he wants to get dirty and bring up Jeremiah Wright- - then we'll talk about Religion too, if he wants.  Obama screws up to conceding territory before the play even starts in a certain unique stupidity that no football captain would ever endorse.  They move the fifty foot line over to their own thirty before the game ever begins and all the lines on both sides of the fifty are either skewed farther apart on the Republican side, or really tight together on out side where time and space are distorted and space shrinks and time slows down so that we delude ourselves into thinking we're making real progress when we aren't.  The President needs to do something to really goose up this Recovery or he's a screwed Duck in November.  Because as it can't be repeated too many times- - of the better party has the wrong set of statistics working against them, even all of their other brilliance will go for naught.

Sometimes as you know- - people say "Oh we are going through really hard times".  For instance the Great Depression and World War II were tough times for America.  But ironically the suicide rate went down during this period.  People had a sense of purpose.  And so people from my parent's generation never heard of "Post traumatic stress disorder".  They solve all their "memories" problems of the stress of combat bu never bringing them up in conversation.  And then the whole generation collectively says "You know- - actually it wasn't so bad".  And yet other periods are actually WORSE than they remember it- - because they were mentally sleeping and were not fully aware of the dangers.  Nineteen-eighty was such a year for this country.  The year began with George Bush talking about the "Voodoo Economics" of his far right wing whacko opponet former governor Ronald Reagan of the land of fruits and nuts here in California.  By the end of the year this man was President elect, and his "whacko policies" would become law- - and not only that but his ideas and those of Jude Juaninski- - would be the pervailing political attitude in America- - and are to this day.  For my own life such a period where things were actually worse than I remember them was the first half of 1966 and it begins with my "Rittalin Gitterns" during a concert band audition, which I failed.  My Dad might have liked to be in the position of "Pink" if you believe our take on that, and occupied the body of John Lennon, because it'd be a good opportunity to catch up on a lot of sleep.  I think it was this date of damn close to it- - around May 21str of 1966 when my Dad was scheduled to see a new doctor about all of these horrible pains he was having in his innards.  His doctor at work told him it was "just nerves" and refilled his tranqualizer prescription.  But this new doctor said "I recommend you be admitted to the hospital immediately because I think you have a bleeding ulcer".  I think I remember the events of this weekend - - - .  Wasn't that the same weekend we had our carpets clean and the smell lasted a whole day or more, or was that the weekend before.  I think Dad had to drive us to the beach because it was a warm day and you-know-who wasn't available to take us.  And when we got back from doing that, since it was a warm day - - then Paul began testing out speakers and compare the bass response and say "This one has a real throb to the music that this one over here doesn't have."  Also Paul had just gotten his drum set not that long ago [St. Patrick's Day at White Front] and played a lot.  And I think the whole thing was wearing on my Dad who "seemed to be going through a lot of other stuff anyhow" that he never really told us about but I'd like to know what it was, because it caused him to withdraw considerably from church life.  And of course my Dad did indeed have a duadenal ulcer.  Now in my case just last week I myself didn't like a diagnosis and so went to a specialist at her recomendation- - and was given a clean bill of health.  So sometimes getting a "second oppinion" works the other way, too.  But there are people in the Romney campaign who want to "Go Back"  - - to - - some imagined past.  Does his campaign REALLY want to "Go Back" to how it was during those troubled Bush years?  Somehow I don't think so.  We are told if Dodd Frank were repealed "All of the banks would start making loans again" and we discussed this at length in a previous posting.  What magical thing is supposed to "Happen" that isn't happening now.  NOW we ARE making real progress on a lot of economic fronts such as domestic oil production and trade balance and maybe even the US dollar, or deficet as a percentage of GDP or private verses public sector growth.  All of the Stats are ones the Republicans SAY they want.  But we know we didn't GET even to where we are now with our unfulling progress- - by Prayer and Fasting or whatever it is Judy suggests we do as a country.  It's, like a doctor you take sensible measures such as avoid stress and watch the diet and get enough rest and stuff.  I heard Newt Gingrich say once that 'The very evening I am elected president' you're going to see a whole host of positive economic signs. I think "Forward" is an excellent campaign slogan.  The Republicans are howling like scared dogs over this issue because they know that word "Forward' is so effective.  It's a hell of a lot better than "Backwards" harkening to the analogy of getting the car out of that ditch.  So right now I suggest we take Bush's advice and "stay the course" and add a touch of hate tword Bane Capital and the former President, too.

Well, it’s a quarter to seven and I’m ready to do our eclipse report.  I was out on the patio the past twenty minutes or so and smoked two cigarettes.  It definitely is darker out there- - like automatic sun glasses, and the sky has a strange quality.  There were lights on across the street that I didn’t knotice were on before, if they were.  I gave Glen a cigarette and after the fact, he gave me some peppermint candy.  David S then asked me for a smoke and I said “I’ve been handing them out like candy all day long to various people”.  I recommended David take some of Glen’s candy as long as he was offering.  Back in here it was a lot darker, and I turned on the light.  They say that eclipses are bad omens.  However under Burt’s Ziggy theology the opposite is true.  He bases it on the story in Acts in the Bible where people were healed of whatever disease they had from passing under St. Peter’s shadow.  Peter means “Rock” and there is that song we used to sing at C of A called ‘Lead Me to the Rock that is Higher than I” and under Ziggy theology this refers to the moon because this version of the song is patterned after “Child of the Moon” by the Rolling Stones, a favorite of Burt’s and mine.  “Time to play B sides”.  And Zachery under Burt’s theology was conceived at dawn under a fragment eclipse of the sun on a Friday the thirteenth.  The blue sign over the bedroom door “Our Love Comes from Above” was there quite some time after me and you-know-who had taken over residence.  As for those Spiders from Mars, I heard in the news a week or so ago that scientists had definitely confirmed the existence of life on Mars and I DON’T think I dreamed that.  Mars has a quarter of the sunlight that earth gets.  But in terms of the whole planet it receives only an eighth of our sunlight because it’s half the size.  But even that figure gets cut down again when you recken how much gets reflected back out into space to be seen because sand doesn’t reflect clouds as well as earth’s sky.  See aren’t you glad you tuned into us today.  Where else can you get this?

NATURE GOES ON A RAMPAGE

Well, after a week or so of relatively few news stories, we have a whole raft of them breaking today.  There was a 6.0 earthquake at Bologna, Italy in the north, where Dr. Levy said he’d be traveling in a few weeks.  Cars at intersection were hit with avelanches of cascading bricks and bell towers fell- - and six factory workers were killed with the roof fell in.  But otherwise people were generally safe at home if not asleep in their beds at 4:00 AM.  We can of course pray for these people.  We now jump to Hurricane Alberto, which is about the earliest Hurricane ever to hit the Gulf, a good two weeks before hurricane season even starts.  I NEVER remember any story of any sort hitting the area this soon.  The storm is now off the Carolina coast with winds of only 45 mph and will only cause high surf and heavy rains, and then is headed off into the Atlantic.  Meanwhile in Arizona they have heat alerts in Phoenix, and a rash of forrest fires there- - which that area seems to be continually ravaged with the past year, and a drought that apparently is still not ended.  Meanwhile there are tornadoes in Kansas.

EXTRA! - - READ ALL ABOUT IT

Then we have your garden variety murders like those Chinese foreign exchange students that were gunned down and the killers arrested Friday night at USC.  Now apparently some LA Metro bus driver was gunned down.  I don’t know if anybody else was shot.  And Mark Zuckerman got married yesterday after courting his Chinese girlfriend for eight years.  She will now be known as Dr. Chan and is a pediatrician.  They had a back yard wedding that was a “surprise wedding’ for the “intimate” number of one hundred guests who were invited “to attend a graduation celebration”.  They say “Mark” is not the kind of guy who does things impulsively.  But apparently the sudden change in décor will take some getting used to by his followers.

Meanwhile President Obama is at a NATO summet meeting this weekend in his native city of Chicago.  You remember Chicago, the place the tea party Cheered - - when informed they did NOT get the Olympics.  And they say Liberals lack patriotism!  Anyhow there were protests with police knocking a few heads when rioters brieched the perimeter lines.  And as if to add one uplifting note, the Lockerbee, Scottland killer- - Pan Am flight 103 that was blown up in December 1988, died today of whatever terminal illness he had.  He had only served eight years of his sentence when he was let out on ”humanitarian grounds’ and given three months to live.  I’d say “Fine, but after that we’ll kill you”.  Well God has now spoken- - as that murderor prepares to meet his Maker.  Some people say “It isn’t enough”.  And others say they want to keep the investigation going, because other plotters are still suspected in the case.  What’s that other case where they said that some guy who ran a tanning salon was the real killer?  I forget.  They grilled two investigators in that case who “Hid the fact that they had been romantically involved during the case” from the Jury - - which maybe affects the outcome.

LATE AFTERNOON CHILL

Singer Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees died today of a long time illness with cancer.  Robin was born in the Isle of Man, Gibb was the fraternal twin brother of Maurice Gibb, and the elder of the two, born 35 minutes before Maurice. The third-born of five children, Gibb had one older sister, Lesley (born 1945), and three brothers: Barry (born 1946), twin Maurice (1949–2003), and Andy (1958–1988).   They then moved to Manchester, England, and then “settled” in Brisbane Austrailia.  Their first album came out in 1966 and it’s rather Beatlish sounding.  One song KLOS played was kind of a mash up of ‘Not a Second Time”, “I’ll Get You In the End” and “It won’t be Long”.  Their break-through album for the rest of the world occurred in the late Spring of 1967 and I think we and England have the same song line-up on that album, and it contains many early classic hits.  Some sites speculate whether Robin was gay.  And there were a bunch of links saying that Grover Norquist was gay, so you can’t believe everything on line.  In terms of the Chinese calendar he would be an earth ox.  Of course housemate Bill T had their big 1977 smash album, which is just about wall to wall classic hits.  A legond has passed.

First of all President Obama has new allies in his quest with the European Economic Community this weekend because the President has convinced them that the "austerity program" hasn't worked or stimulated the economy, and now They are ready to pursue another course more amenable to this President.  People say that "Obama made the economy worse' but no, "Obama made the economy better" like a doctor's care after a disasterous event like a cancer diagnosis or a severe heart attack.  You don't turn around and sue the doctor who is now helping to make you better. Tonight the Mc Laughlin group discussed this bank topic at length.  They complain Dodd Frank styfles new loans.  But if they are speculative Ventures- - then we WANT them styfled, so new mistakes are not made.  As Pat Buchannon says, "Almost all these Wall Street cats survived the deboccle with taxpayer's help and are now again fat and sassy".  They say in Canada you personally actually have to sign a mortgage and other equity questions are settled in advance so There there WAS no real estate bubble.  Meanwhile Vladimir Putin was just inogurated today for his third six year term (?) and I sure thought he's already been President longer than twelve years. That would be 2000.  Protestors marred yesterday's parade and such so that today when Putin was actually sworn in, Moscow was in lock-down with riot police stationed everywhere.   The very tepidness of Obama's economic stimulation itself insures lower interest rates and economic stability for all concerned. I see this as a strength.  Romney would CUT government expenditure a whopping twenty percent accross the board- - in the spirit of Jerry Brown.  The results would not suit this recovery well. The Republican response on KNX 1070 today was a horrible mixture of disjointed rhetoric and rambling mixed with a failure to link any cause and effect, along with several outright lies about this administration.  I guess they had trouble with "the first private space venture" that failed to come off.  With a half a second to go a computer detected an engine malfunction and pulled the plug on the launch.  "Oh yea, I experiance that a lot when I'm on a date".  I imagine nothing is more frustrating.  Judy asked me if I've had calculus, and I informed her that I have absolutely no background in calculus.  I did admit to Judy, and I'm not ashamed to, that I was just WRONG about this economic recovery "achieving life-off" as I was hopefull about just four or five months ago.  Chalk one up for the Republicans.

I just wanted to do a brief reminded paragraph that I think Religion in its proper setting should be an affair between you and God controling your own Private morality.  Certain things are public morality issues such as too many liquor stores near school children or sexual preditors near schools, as things like pot holes and industrial polution and clean drinking water and the malfunctioning traffic signal.  But when it comes to one's sexual proclivities I don't believe this is an area where the government should get involved.  I think any Constitutional Amendment defining marriage as between one man and one woman - - is best left to the States, and I'd put Health Care in the same category.  So in this area I agree with Romney.  I think "Character" is an important thing to look at because here- - "private morality" can manifest itself in Public policy.  But any person has a perfect Right to be a "sleaze ball" on their own time, which is what I wish Romney would do.  It's something I also wish a lot of Church pastors would do and stop wasting OUR time with what ammounts to FREE psycho-therapy for themselves in the pulpit every Sunday.  People were put on earth to do their OWN jobs and follow their OWN calling andonscience and not to BE these things for others.  In Christianity we are all "Priests" who share OUR blessings of Salvation with others as the LORD would lead (and the ONLY way we will EVER have Godly success in this area) but it's not a Pastor's OR a government Office Holder's job to be OUR constience and as it were, try to get BETWEEN the people and Whoever- - and I mean Whoever- - they choose to Worship or Not worship, as the case may be.  Also - -As I said- - people who have an antipathy tword government should get OUT of government ("Love it or Leave it") and turn the job over to someone who actually wants to DO that job.  (Selah)  I think the rich should "stop playing the Victim" in this whole arena of economics.  As to Judy's quoting of James about "You don't get- - and then you want and you lust- - and then you go to War to satisfy your lust and consume it on your own fleshly desires" - - this in my book is a scripture much more applicapable to rich Western nations, rather than protestors who are just "getting by" with a $40,000 a year job, and think they'd like to do better someday.  As I pointed out today, "If the preachers preach about the deception of riches and Money so much - - why are they so darned EAGER to get their hands on OUR money???

On today's Regency outing the topic of the almost total solar ecclipse never came up.  I'm going to watch it and the center point will be at 6:38 our time Sunday early evening.  I guess Tahoe and Reno are places to be as well as Bryce and Zion swing southward into New Mexico at sunset.  Paul says that Terry and Terry just remodeled their house knocking out walls for a more spacious feeling.  But some realtor told them if they want to sell the place to move out of state that- - - you need more closed off bedrooms and to "put everything back the way it was".  Judy says these high capitol developers swing into a neighborhood and big up prices in nice O C neighborhoods that are family oriented and buy up homes before more deserving couples can get them and then least each room out to a single party.  Judy then goes on to say "That's when neighborhoods start to go down hill.  When single people start having all these loud parties, and then they bring in the drugs".  Terry and Terry then decided not to move.  There was talk from Paul at his work about how you are encouraged to waste money and gave a comical example of this- - which is so strange I wouldn't even use it as a Saturday Night Live skit.  They more money you're able to waste- - they'll just give you more in next year's budget. But Paul was repermanded by his boss for suggesting programs that would actually SAVE the government money.  They punish you if you save money by reducing your budget for next year.  Paul also talked about my parent's church and he visited there recently and I learned some interesting stuff I never knew.  But the Federation won't let me post it here.  I told her perhaps Vitamin C was making me hyper so I cut back, and also that I'm "requiring less sleep now.  I am staying up later and waking earlier".  Mom and the others asked about Bill- - and I endeavored to make him sound less "mysterious".  Now here is the letter to you know who.  I don't think I need to black any names with the new "liberalized" federation security policies.

Judy wasn't feeling well but they actually arrived early and much as I suggested Judy called me on her cell phont when they were only a couple of blocks away.  They were already parked in the parking lot when I got down.  Paul had the air conditioning going even though it was still overcast at not quite ten thirty and I thought it was still a bit chilly- - as of then.  We made good time there arriving about eleven.  Mom greeted us at the door.  Paul says that his swimming pool water is ninety degrees because he had his cover on.  I have a real problem believing that because he also said the Youth Center pool has been heated and IT is "finally up to eighty degrees now".  I mentioned how people with California property have to pay 24% in property taxes because we have a whopping nine percent tax just in California.  I tried to make sure my remarks were ones with which we could both agree.  There was a lot of talk about partial birth abortions on the way down.  On the way Home Judy was talking about lessons of the Sampson Bible story - - which I had recently mentioned in that blog posting.  The line was applied by her to the gay issue and "Not crossing the line in the sand that God draws".  Lunch was good.  I had a green salad with purple lettuce and ranch dressing plus their crab salad, where I remarked that OUR crab here was actually BETTER with a more rubust "crab like' flavor than THEIR crab.  I also had potato salad.  Then I went back and got two pieces of carrot cake- - also at the salad bar, and it was really moist and fresh.  I worriede about perhaps my eyes were bigger than my stomach but my fears were groundless since we had to wait some period of time before the main course.  One thing there whose quality has gone down hill lately is their coffee.  I had the white meat fried chicken, which was almost boneless.  I don't know how they do it.  I had the French fries and one of those stainless steel thingies of catsup I'm partial to.  For desert many of us had green mint chocolate chip ice cream.  We never turned on the computer.  I guess Mom never uses it on her own at all now.  She gave me a thing on Aspurgers and some guy who had it and made it big in science or whatever, and there is some Aspurgers fellowship I could contact or something, which I found intriguinging if for no other reason than to see if that's what I really have.  Mom said she'd lost two or three pounds but her blood pressure is up to 160 or higher onthe high end and over ninety on the low end.  Not good.  We decided to spend time sitting out in the west court between the putting green and the therapy pool, backed up to the iceplant hill.  The weather was ideal.  Paul took movies with his camera.  I tactlessly reminded him my camera had gadgets and controls and options on my camera that his lacks.  That's VERY tactless of me considering that it was PAUL who GAVE me the camera.  I didn't take mine.  Mom was doing her narritive about her parents.  I thought her grandparents lived to be a hundred but she doesn't believe they made it out of their eighties.  Paul remembers stuff that didn't happen.  He talked about "some big black dog out at the ranch" and "do you remember the lake".  No, there was no lake- - anywhere.  Paul also talked about how the "Freeway" used to be further north and there was kind of a winding road threading its way through the trees to grandma's house.  I said "You'd almost have to have pre incarnate memory to remember that".   And that head injury of Pauls was the house below grandma's on the hill where the Freeway is now, and how the fireplace chimney was the only thing remaining and the cement slab.  As far as I know is that unlike you and me- - I think Paul was only at the Ranch once in his life and that was in the summer of 1963 after they had painted the white ranch house green.  But the same family still lived there - - they all just looked older.  I don't think Mom was aware Paul had the camera rolling.  I chimed in that Grandpa was briefly a school teacher.  I do remember that pen name of "C Ben- " in stead of - - -   well, Benjamin - -  and Mom hit again details of her life in the years just before she met Dad.  Paul brought the computer plug with him but he didn't bring the TV connective cord that I use for TV monitoring.  I said something about Obama pandering to the rich Hollywood community in endorsing the gay lifestyle.  Judy said "he's desperate because so many other money sources have abandoned him".  There was talk about various people who live at the Regencies and their personalities and even how they customarily dress.  This is too long.  Anyhow Judy says she still thinks I should have the two crowns done.  Maybe.  Since it was a gift from Paul and Judy, I wore my white GNLD shirt.  I gained maybe three pounds from a month ago on that scale.  I'm encouraged.  Sorry is this is too tediously detailed.  I hope your visit with Mom went just as well.  I'd heard of that "make yourself invisible on the net" but I don't think I know where it is.  I don't think about it.  Bye.

"You Don't Want t Go There" Part Two

There is a lot of stuff on Mormonism making the rounds.  I think John Feugelsang was on two different radio programs in two days so I heard the same "shtick" or routine - - and began wondering "I just heard all of these points".  We know Jesus was a brown skin mideasterner who didn't have a green card to get into America and he never preacher against abortion or gay marriages, believed in free medical care and didn't speak English and all.  If Romney wants to bring up Jeremiah Wright's preaching history over the past twenty odd years, why is it not kosher to bring up economic policies and statements of the Bush administration just four years ago.  If people want to talk about the President's indoctrination at a medrassa in Indonesia as a child - -why can't we talk about Romney's Mormonism.  The stuff out now is that when you die you go to your own planet and get one hundred wives, which is at least as good as 72 virgins in Islam, without having your own planet. And God was originally from the Planet Koboth or something.  And black women couldn't gain temple admittance till 1978.  Mercia Merideth right now has permission to go to the Mormon Temple any time she wants and she has the white robe and everything.  Marcia is what I'd call "a good person on the inside' and our basic beliefs are actually quite similar and several times she and I "have been on the same wave-length" in a conversation.  However the "external wrappings' or our respective theological beliefs are what are very different.  I am pro Obama and she is anti Obama.  Google just this morning "took me somewhere I don't want to go".  They took me to some special opening blog thing with mostly white on it.  It's like the seven year old being dragged to church by his parents saying "But mommy, they have funny math at that church.  They say that three times one is one". and all.  Let's just remember while bashing Mormonism - - Mormonism "gets a lot of things Right" that most churches screw up and the Trinity is the chief of these.  But there is a whole host of issues where Mormons "get it right" Biblically and New Testament speaking.  But I don't think it's wise for either side to "open up that avenue of testimony on direct" making it fair came for a cross.  In terms of my own denomination you've heard me say I am NOT a Methodist and that when Harry Green did his comparative denominations series- - he singled out "Methodism" as a theology that was suspect with their "works oriented theology".  Let's it this way.  Our denomination elevates John Calvin actually to status above that of Martin Luther.  Charlie Daniels can sing about "I belong to the Antioch Baptist Church" as being the most Orthodox church possible.  Well- - Geneva is another name that- - is applied to at least one church of our denomination.  I thought it was Dennis Wilson who did the song "Tripping down Geneva Way", but once again I'm in error.  That was Carl on his "out of body experiance" while still Alive.  You can recognize his guitar playing.  I had Kurt Cobain ask Dennis on the issue (he just "showed up" this morning) and he said "Dennis never even heard of the church and has no idea what they believe".  Geneva is filled with a bunch of rich snobs, and the sermons tend to be rather rightward leaning.  For those of you wondering about our use of "Mangolia Baptist Church" - - keep in mind that "Mangolia" was a guitar freak-out that Howard and I and whoever else was in the room at the time did- - in October of 1968 based on the Peter Gun theme which Magnolia's high school band played, who was our rival, and - - - A C's song "Aching to get me" kind of goes in a similar vein.  If you say "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" we just made up the reference to Gene Scott uttering these words to illustrate a point.  By the way you astute ones notice that in 35 years of bringing the name Robin up on our mailings, we have not once used the word "gragarious" tn describe her.  You brighter bulbs can thus rightfully deduce that we were referring to another Robin.  I assume that "Blue bird" is still alive.  You might call her many things but "gregarious" isn't one of them.  There is this mythology around her in songs like "The Last Resort" and "Fireworks" as being a "good girl from a reactionary community".  looking for a little liberation.

While we're on the subject of race relations "were we?" I'll just talk about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin a little.  But my view is "Don't give me all this stuff about New Evidence- - - I don't want to hear it.  You see I just lost all my conciliatory Spirit" to parafrase a Dylan song.  You know a few months ago I thought thought "The Death of Emitt Till" and 'Things Don't Happen Like that Now Days" were a little "Over the top" lyrically.  But no more.  Not when we see almost the same scenario played out before us in the newspapers today.  We all knew what the actual Facts of the case were within a couple weeks of it first coming to light.  Everything that's gone on since them has been just a massive cover-up of the Truth.  And if I were the President this is an issue on which I'd be a hell of a lot more Vocal than has been the case so far.  I think "acting Stupidly" is a euphamism in this case.  It goes way beyond "Stupid" to downright Evil and in this case no other word fits.  There is an endemic racism in the Florida legal system that needs dramatic attention from the federal government, and if I were the President I'd come up with some kind of proposal to deal with it.  It may be "politically risky" but there are times, as we all know, in the lives of great Leaders where taking risks is required, or to quote a Kenny Rogers song "Sometimes you have to Fight, when you're a man".  We can't let all this racist garbage pass without reacting.  Clearly the Trayvon Martin case is not an isolated case as the other case about the Black battered wife firing a gun into the air - - - amply demonstrates, lest their remain doubts in anyone's mind.

Let's talk about Romney-nomics a little.  People of the Tea Party perswasion such as Judy love to talk at length about "the perils of economic debt".  Therefore Judy is continuelly on my tail about being deliquent in payments to the Phone company lest I be guilty of "Stealing from A T & T".  OK fine.  And she directs me to web sites that talk about "People who live Beyond their means NOW- should be approsed of the fact that at some point in the Future they'll have to live Below their Means for a time.  Point received.  Now fast forward to the Ed Schultz Show and Romney.  What does he do working for Bane Capital?  He goes in and saddles corporations he want to "Save" with what?  Debt.  And lots of it.  But it was pointed out that Romney USES the corporation's OWN good collatteral or "capital equity" to do What?  To FIRST pay his own salerie and the salaries of his associates at Bane capital.  And then when the corporation goes under perhaps Because of this enormous Debt he saddled them with Romney goes "you win some you lose some".  Well, Romney NEVER loses!  He makes for damn sure of that!!!  "I never bet except on a sure thing".  Legalized larceny.  What would be unacceptable behavior in Las Vegas is perfectly find with Wall Street regulators.  Glass Steigel was wiped out but it again needs to be restored to "Make the banking industry Dull again" so that investors and tax payers will not be put at risk.  The Stock Holders of all those corporations have to take a bath- - but Romney sonters away whistling dixie probably laughing about the whole thing with that - - laugh - - that he has. But now let me pose one more question to Judy.  "All those companies went under.  Right.  This is Romney's legasy.  But has the United States gone under?  No.  It's still around.  Are investments of China at risk?  No.  No.  A big negatori on that.  And what about the company whom we were "downgraded by".  Standard and Poors 500.  What is their record?  Aren't they the same people who gave all these bonds of 2008 a triple A rating?  Sure enough.  Didn't this misuse of funds take place literally under the noses of the Bush "investigators" who were monitoring the entire situation at Lehman brothers While it was Happening?  That's right.  Just like that Di Mira stooge stole the "secret code" literally right out under Hope and Bo's noses.  They let it happen - - and they weren't even having a gun pulled on them at the time?  What do you think about that, my friend?

If I can read the fine print here then those proposition 29 opponets should be just as able to read it.  It's just a little chart where the "data for the final conclusion" was not available.  I guess that's only because it hasn't been "played out" yet.  Perhaps.  All these "images" are supposed to be different yet the first two look alike to me.  People oppose each other in some areas yet have common ground in others, like a desire not to blow themselves off the planet in a Nuclear war.  I have used the example (following text) of a black man and a black woman who as it were "oppose each other" in the dimension of gender, but to NOT oppose each other in the dimension of Race.  Therefore since it's an area where they do NOT oppose each other, you can't Count it in the "number of oppositions" or as I say in the following, the "number of opposint faces.  Capish.  Fine.  Then maybe I'll bring in an Expert.  Mr. Spock likes to talk about "people who are incapable of higher dimensional thinking" and the "trap" that Wickepedia fell into with their multi dimensional cube face numbering.  Let me "make it simple" for you as Ronald Reagan said in "First Family Rides Again".  You have a black man and a black woman.  Are they opposites?  Yes.  Is this because you have a Black man and therefore their opposite must be White?"  No.  They are opposite in terms of gender but not race.  I know Wickepedia's whole formula for higher dimensions.  I bet I know their formula better than readers of the article and believers thereof, know the formula.  That's because I'm smart.  I have deductive logic.  Like figuring out the hyperbolic trig formula just looking at spot check Calculator answers.  But I have my OWN formula and I'm proud of that one and Bones told me to trust in mine, and not theirs.  Some may say that the words "aspect' and "dimension" re not the same word.  OK.  Aspect can refer to TV screens and perhaps certain things in geometry.  But the word "direction" has strong dimensional allusions.  When you look at a blueprint you want to know if it's looking DOWN or the SIDE or viewed dead on from the FRONT.  So here "dimension" is very relivent.  A person can well be one's "Opposite" in terms of one thing such as gender, but NOT in another where they are alike, such as Race.  So the problem with Wickepedia is there are just "too many faces".  Capish?

And now for our little game of "Guess the President".  My denomination - - the church into which I was baptized into,  - - I know of at least two Presidents who are members of this denomination.  One is a democrat and the other is a republican.  As to the democrat I'll give you hints.  Neither President exactly advertised the fact.  My Dad was pointing out connections of the Republican president with this denomination.  As to the democrat- - he was "one of the smartest presidents we've ever had" and is actually an intellectual though he is not widely known as this.  He was very smart.  But he was known more for being "combative".  The campaign for his second term was easier than getting elected the first time because there are certain "challenges" he had to overcome in that election that he didn't have to face the second time around.  His worse key year was his sixth year in office, which kind of cast a shadow over the remainder of his tenure in office, and were he to have stood for a third term he probably would not have been reelected.  Some may look at this list and say "Obviously you're talking about Richard Nixon".  Negatori on that.  Nixon was a Republican and widely known as a Quaker, so guess again.  Like all denominations we have a certain ammount of denominational pride and think of ourselves as "God's Chosen".  We aren't exactly into tongues- - although these have occurred at our church, or at lease there was a time when they used to.  But neither are we "Dyspensationalist".   One of the favorite scriptures that we like to quote is "Behold you didn't choose me but I chose you".

And now the paragraph you are all waiting for.  "It's the one you've come for" to quite Paul at Hamburg.  No, not "Red Sails in the Sunset' but rather what happened with Dr. Levy yesterday afternoon.  He didn't bring any cheese cake as alluded to.  And he didn't bring home made roast beef sandwiches either.  He was "just too tired last night after he wot home" to make them.  So he went and  bought five boxes of combo pizzas, most of which were consumed in class.  He bought various cans of soda pop, wither Sprite, or Dr. Pepper, or Diet Coke, or Pepsi, but the Pepsis weren't cold.  There wasn't a problem with outsiders horning in on the gathering like Norma has with her fried chicken at the Bible Studies, and I have been "inadvertantly guilty" of that one.  I want to repeat something I told James Fisher yesterday as is "moved by the Spirit: to broach the topic.  I said "You know- - Jewish people such as Dr. Levy seem almost open to falling into the Dominionist trap believing it's up to we earthlings to "make the world ready for the return of Jesus' by cleaning up the mess of society before he gets here" kind of like Marge Simpson cleaning up the house before the Maid arrives.  That's not our job- - it's the Lord's.  We were not put on earth to institute some Theocratic State in America.  America is a secular country - - and the Constitution is explicit in this.  I told you that not even the Mormons buy into this Dominionist trap.  When the Lord comes there won't be any question about it that he's He who has arrived.  There won't be any warnings to Prepare for it.  That's why it's inportant for our hearts to be inwasdly prepared for it at any time, if you're so inclined.  But the thing is GOD knows what we're really like.  There will be no cover ups or con jobs with Him.  It's out job to to do what we were put on Earth to do, and not to do "someone else's job for them.  Capish?

Marcus Arelius Begins Earning His Keep

It seems I've hit pay dirt in that there are now advertisments on at least some of my blogs, perhaps you noticed the last one.  There was a foreign language video I watched.  Unfortunately people learn languages differently.  I told you about video verse audio verse emotive verses kinesthetic methods of learning.  I told you I was a visual person.  I like to see all of the facts mapped out in graphs and tables and such.  I'll give you an example of where audio learning falls flat with me.  In Church school when I was twelve or whatever we heard about things like the "Capidocian Church Fathers" and "Flying Butresses" and "We use the empty cross in Protestentism".  I thought "Empty Cross- - you mean the cross of hollow?"  And I didn't really know what I "flying butress" was till I watched a video on medevil archetecture and I go "Oh - THATS a flying butress".  These sort of winged things at the sides of cathedrals with an archway in the middle of them.  I STILL don't know who the Hell the "Capidocian fathers" are.  Certainly people like Wayne Dyre have failed to convince me.  I've had problems with Einstein because even though in his own words he gives all of these "examples" I'm thinking "But what does all of that have to do with the price of tea in China?"  I want to do the math.  When one of my BASIC programs isn't behaving right, I go in and look at the code and see what the numbers are doing and how they are structured.  I guess they have blind physicians.  Maybe you can do that.  I guess Dean Edell does OK with just an audio radio broadcast, so maybe verbal "conversation" works OK in some areas.  Even when I hear something emotive that's said to make a "point" I want to break down the words and the sentense structure, to see if the guy is saying what he claims to be saying.  Break down his "Logic flow chart" as it were.

Ed Schultz is talking about Scott Walter this hour and his campaign to tell lies about Obama's unemployment figures.  They say that 40% of Union people actually favor Scott Walker staying in office. So we were right in saying the recall numbers don't bode at all well for our side.  Romney wants to drag the Reverand Jeremiah Wright into this Campaign even though John Mc Cain refused to do so four years ago in 2008.  People called him an "old fuddy-duddy" for not being willing to hit below the belt.  It seems Romney is jealous of some big Chicago contributor to the President's reelection campaign.  Otherwise this is kind of a watch and wait period- - and will continue to be so for the next three months. "You Don't Want to Go There" should be Romney's watch-word in that Mormonism does not have an exactly steller record dealing with African Americans.

They say that from his recent speech John Boehner has been hitting the booze a little heavily.  Again he is trying to "make a stand" on the debt ceiling.  I think President Obama should give him what he wants- - This- - time, because any adverse budget cuts enacted now will be too late to adversely impact the economic recovery- - untill after Romney or the President gets reelected.  Capish?  It will be a good issue for the President to run on saying "The tea party held a gun to my head" and then go in to talk about the averse consequences, and also take the budget issue away from Romney.

Joe Byden is making a speech about "Sitting around waiting to be a millionaire" as the AC DC song goes.  We all like to dream big.  This whole "Contentment" crap Dr. Levy talks about is a bunch of huey.  He doesn't believe it himself.  He's dropped enough inadvertant hints that I suspect he's got Money - - and lots of it that he isn't talking about.  I just want to see him whip out the cheese cake this afternoon he was talking about this afternoon.

If Romney really wants to preach "You Win Some - You Lose Some" why is he attacking President Obama's support of "Silindra"?  And what is all this campaign against Wind power citing statistics it contributes to "local warming".  President Obama needs to stress that Nuclear power is no solution to the "carbon footprint" and cite the current situation in Japan where they still have not cleaned up their nuclear mess from a year ago.  Make it clear that nuclear power features a huge "up front" investment and that nuclear power has been "a historically inefficient source of power", or so I've been told.

Defense spending is unique among the constitutionally prescribed budget items in that any other agency of government or expenditure can be for any period- - but Defense spending, the military can be ONLY for a period of two years, and they again have to come back to the House.  Obama's aquiessence to the whole "preventative detention" bill - - was a political calculation knowing as a part of a defense appropiations bill can only last for two years.  The measure has now been knocked down by the court.  But people want to Bring It Back - -  in perhaps a more dangerous form.  Thom Hartman fears strip searches for things like Jay walking or "talking back to a cop".  Four supreme court members are over seventy years old right now, so the next President will have plenty of "opportunies" to shape Court Rulings as he wishes with appointments, knowing how "political" the High Court is now.

Well so far so good.  John Black and company were able to get those weapons smugglers to trust them.  There were a couple of close calls but they managed to get their guns out.  Now the criminals, dealing from a now position of weakness are willing to make a deal.  That could be lucritive if they play their cards right.  Perhaps.  One of the lines was like "We don't MAKE deals - - we just Impose them".  Or as I say in my modified bits about God to Dr. Levy a few months awhile back, "Everybody has their price Except - - God".  (Selah)  One evangelist said the Hebrew has a special term for the "Covenant" one makes "with a gun to his head" so to speak.
