President Trump Does Major Damage Control Today

Before we get started with our main thesis let's just say that President Trump back-tracked in a major way in a mid day press conference.  Clearly he's doing massive damage control and he was probably taken aside by his handler and told "You have to do something major quick".  In another news item Thom Hartman was just talking about all of the rigged voting machines in recent elections.  It's easy to do with most programs, I'm told.  I would be happy if Trump would address THIS problem also, but we all know he won't.  We'll see if Trump's remarks of today are remembered a week from now or whether we'll go back to "revamping our foreign policy turning our backs on NATO and embracing Russia and the other dictators.

That which the gods can digest will not sour in the belly of a slave
-Charlton Heston

"So lean upon Him gently, and don't call on Him to save"
-Ian Anderson

"That which is born of the Spirit is spirit; that which is born of the flesh is flesh"
-The Bible

In our quest to unearth how the Christian church got started it would seem the Bible is our best source.  But the question is what was the ministry of Jesus?  The answer is "To be a better Jew"and we could add, "To follow the Law more perfectly".  If Jesus has come to abolish the Law as Paul says in the book of Galations certainly we should hear remarks at his resurrection such as "I came to abolish the law and I'm announcing that from this point on the Torah as we have known it is null and void".   Instead Jesus amplified on the law.  He said whoever is angry with your neighbor is guilty of hell fire.  He said whoever marries a divorced woman is guilty of adultry.  He said that if you lust after a woman you are guilty of adultry.  And contrary to what people think Jesus never said "I am against the stoning of women convicted of adultry".   Jesus also never criticized the Priesthood or the Sanhedren.  He only criticized the pharicees.  Jesus never broke the sabbath.  It says in Jewish tradition that if something is needed to sustain life then the sabbath may be voided this time.  So you can perform surgery on the sabbath or circumcise on the sabbath.  Hell.  You can even go to war on the sabbath.  Jesus was not above insulting people, like the host of a party he attended.  I would ask myself though "How would you like to be treated the way you treated that host".   Many would say that Christianity is the Law of Love and that Love conquers all.  That would be nice.  Marcion seemed to lean in that direction.  Some would tell me that there is a difference between St Paul and Marcion though.  Paul said the law was bad and "a curse".  Marcion said that the God who brought the law into existance was bad.  Is this not a distinction?  Not if you believe in the law of genetive causality, which I believe the Greeks believed in.  This is that something that reproduces can never be better than the original item, or if the item, like the Law is evil, then it can never be more evil than the original item.  Following this Greek law of the Genitive then if the Law is bad, then Jehovah, by logical inference has to be just as bad, if not worse.  "So lean upon him gently, and don't call on him to Save".   The idea of being Born "In Christ" is something Jesus never talked about.  Instead of being born "Into the law" we'd be born "Into the body of Jesus".   Many epistles of Paul get metaphorical like this.  But I doubt the original Jewish Christians, who supposedly hung around the temple were like this.  I've been wondering what these first Christians were like.  They believe Jesus rose from the dead but appear to believe in little else uniquely Christians.  They believed in a general resurrection at the "end of days" like the book of Daniel taught.  It was nothing special.

Paul in the book of Galations calls them "bewitched" because they "went tack" to believing in and following the Torah just as their fathers had done.  This brings us to my other point.  What would happen if we did away with the Law entirely.  People who believe in Universal Salvation seem to believe this.  It's better than walking around in a glass house all the time afraid you're going to break something or in this case, "offend somebody".  What if You were the best judge of what you yourself did?  It says somewhere in the Bible "What is born of the spirit is spirit and what is born of the flesh is flesh".   Therefore the flesh can go on sinning so it will parish anyhow at the end of your natural life and you will be "Born Again" in the spirit on the other side of the veil of death.  Sounds good to me.  "That which the gods can digest till not sour in the belly of a slave" when they raided the Temple grainaries.  Marcion was not a libertine like this but Gnostics through the ages have been accused of being libertines like this.  Paul and others have spoken of having the "Liberty which is in Christ".  If nothing else this shows the Jewish roots of Christianity even in foreign countries.  There is certainly enough out of wedlock sex to go round even with our President.  Extra marital sex would never be on the Republican platform as things to ban.

You wonder where the Catholic church first got its power.  One of the earliest historical reference is that Marcion was ex-communicated in the year 144 AD by the Bishop of Rome alias the Pope.  We seem never to hear about Marcion from anybody BEFORE he was ex-communicated and when he was still accepted by the Catholic Church.  I don't know.  What kind of a gospel did he preach?  Or more to the point- - did he "blend in" with the pervailing message of the Church at that time.  Did Marcion change or did the Church change.  We know the Church got into acquiring power over people and acquiring great posessions and wealth.  I don't fault them for that.  It's their business how they want to live their lives.  I don't believe you should make a habit of stealing from someone else who has what you want.  This would violate the golden rule.  I do make a distinction however when it's the government institutionalizing this "wealthy caste" at the expense of the rest of us, because history shows that once such inequity is government sanctioned by many laws- - it's impossible to undo it short of a Revolution by the masses.  And it goes without saying that most of "The masses" who follow Christianity- - don't endorse Trump's political platform.

The New Normal

THE NEW NORMAL  (Released July 15, 2018)

Hand in Hand  (Elvis Costello)
Dance this Mess Around (B ‘52’s)
Beggar's Farm (Jethro Tull)
Is Anybody Alive in Here? (Police)
Crime Don’t Pay (Joe Jackson)
867-5309 (Tommy 2 Tone)
Loui Loui (Pretenders)
Too Much Time On My Hands (Styx)
Rails on a Crazy Train (Ozzy Osborne)
Are You Happy? (Iron Butterfly)
Echoes (Pink Floyd)  23 minutes

You’ll have to excuse my mental sluggishness.  It’s hot on here because Augustine doesn’t respond to our coplaints about the air conditioning not working during the heat of the day -only in the morning and evening, which is strange.  Today is national Ice Cream day, declared by President Ronald Reagan.  You can’t buy this album in Federation record stores till Tuesday morning but they are playing it on the radio today.  We thought of other shorter songs and scrapping “Echoes” for another shorter Pink Floyd song, but this is what we wanted.  The front photo is of someone’s back yard, it looks like in America.  There is one yard with a patio and a fence off to the left with a patio roof from the next house.  There are five German Shepherds perched on top and they are barking at President Trump meeting with Vladimir Putin and there are a few aids around (sworn to secrecy) and there is a sign on the fence saying “No cameras or other recording devices).   Putin has folders full of documents he wants the President to sign.  There are two guards at the side gate.  Straight back in the direction you are looking there is a white brick fence.  This is the front of the CD.  On the back of the same CD there is that same brick fence now off to the left.  There is a narrow street and protesters with signs and stuff waving fists and shouting slogans.  But they are all encaged in a metal wire mesh like those kids were, and there are national guard troops with guns on the outside of the mesh.

The song listings are on the open out flap to the left.  There is also a commentary on “the new normal”.  We could start with this weather which has been pretty hot over the past ten days and it’s been setting records all over the country from Oklahoma to New York.  Of course there have been more violent storms too.  We are used to this economy where pay is still low and not equal and also as a percentage of the work force employed we are still in the sixties, which is a decades long low.  There is of course the news of the day with President Trump blowing up the NATO summit and insulting Germany and arguably the Prime Minister.  Of course Trump is like a cult because whatever he says, his people believe.  You almost see how Jonestown kept going because no matter what bad news breaks President Trump has an excuse for it.  It’s either a government conspiracy against him or else it’s the press conspiring against what’s her name or else it’s disgruntled workers who aren’t satisfied with the pay they get.  This is the first compilation we’ve done since late March.  For me most of this year hasn’t been “normal” even by my standards.  I am now out of money in record early time.  I don’t think I have ever been out as early as the fifteenth or so.  All I have is fifty cents and maybe I can get Michelle to give me coffee for that.  The scale says I’m actually gaining weight but it doesn’t feel like it.  My arms are still too skinny.  I need to work out or something.  They just announced afternoon snacks.  They should serve ice cream, but even that strawberry slushy stuff would be good again.

I guess they are having the summit in Helsinki or some place like that.  It doesn’t matter.  We know it will amount to nothing.  Besides they won’t tell us what they are really talking about anyhow.  It’s probably just more business deals or perhaps worse.  France won the soccer match over Croatia and Britain and Belgian played for third place yesterday.   Serena Williams lost and all we hear about is that her true success these days is motherhood.  I went out for snacks and got two Oreos and an iced tea and then I scrounged for cigarettes.  I had Leo Laporte on at the usual time and Chris Marquardt was on talking about how several small lenses can do the work of one big lens and do it better thanks to computer technology these days- - with their advanced mathematical programming.  Leo was also talking about how good vocal simulators are these days.  I could get in a microphone these days and it would be Leo’s voice coming out over the speaker.  It gets to where you don’t know what’s real and what isn’t these days.  Byte Fence is having a summer sale, I'm just informed.

[Wednesday May 11th) As I was going out to smoke Alvin showed up at the door a little after nine saying it was time to go to the dentist.  I said I needed to straighten up the room in preparation for the cleaning people to arrive.  After doing this I went out and had a cigarette.  I was smoking this when Alvin showed up again out back and said it was time to go.  It was maybe nine twenty.  Some lady in a wheel chair was in the front seat.  She had an appointment at a quarter to ten and mine was at ten.  Nevertheless I was dropped off first.  I went in and then went back out again to have another cigarette.  I was ushered into a dental chair well before ten but then waited till a quarter after for Dr Bui to arrive and get started.  She used less novacaine than usual, which was fine with me.  The procedure was punctuated with countless delays.  I was having a root canal on a tooth I thought had already had a root canal performed on already.  The procedure actually didn’t take as long as I expected what it got going.  They would stick this massive thing in my mouth which was much more substantial than a bite guard.  Numerous X rays were taken.  Well, I guess there were three sessions.  She remarked that my roots were long, an observation I’ve heard several times before.  I was done at a little past eleven thirty.  I used the restroom.  I had this new girl call the number here, which I still haven’t memorized.  I went out for a smoke.  There were a lot of dried leaves on the sidewalk, which would be kind of a fire hazard for careless dropping.  I went in and picked up the C-Net magazine but I didn’t that that far with that and Alvin was already here.  I got a prescription for an anti-biotic.  I had swollen glands on my right lower lip and Dr Bui said that I should really see a doctor of it.  She took a photo of it.  It had gotten hot outside and it was muggy again.  I went right into the dining room for a topless tuna melt with cheese.  I also had a banana and French fries and catsup.  Others had mandarin oranges.

Dirtier by the Dozen

At around nine thirty they announced on KABC that there were a dozen indictments of Russian officials of some military intelligence group sabotaging the democratic national committee and also influencing voting.  But they offered the fig leaf of a disclaimer that none of the numerous things they did influenced the elections one bit.  How can they say that?  But that’s what they always say.  Of course the twelve would have to be extradited here first to stand trial.  And we were really nice saying they would all have the rights of American citizens.  You would think if President Trump cared at all about his country he would lean on Putin and get those twelve shipped over here.  But Trump’s first instinct is to cover up and protect them.   No matter how many indictments they issue the right wing is not impressed at all.  They and Russia are hand in glove in their belief that it's all just a giant political conspiracy by agencies of our government to make Trump look bad before the big summit on Monday with Vladimir Putin.  They don't see the obvious.  This doesn't just make Trump LOOK bad; it IS bad.  Most sensible people want trump to cancel the summit.  This would be the logical thing to do till Putin comes up with a good explanation for the Russian military's actions.  Trump and Putin and the Trump's political base are working off the same play book.  I am somewhat disappointed that so many people even at this late date don't see anything wrong with any of President Trump's actions.  Think about that.

This is Saturday July 14, 2018 and the Orange County fair opened yesterday.  The pitch this year is “release your inner farmer”.   So you can see more prize livestock and award winning produce.   The weather got back to normal today for the first time since July fourth.  This is after dinner and Eye Witness news is on now.  We had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich for dinner with carrot salad (a little dry) and supposedly peach cobbler for dessert.  But this dish was kind of an economy job.  I got seconds getting a whole sandwich and more carrot salad.   I’ve been mentally sluggish lately.   That's why this blog entry will be so short.   I now have only two cigarettes left and maybe two spoons left of instant coffee.  This is a 35 day month and I don’t get paid for two and a half weeks.

Trump Blows Up the NATO Summet

This is Thursday July 12, 2018 and on this date in 1990 I met those three foxy teenage girls at the pool and interacted with them.  I think the oldest one lied about her age saying she was nineteen.  (jail bait)  President Trump continues to screw up the NATO meeting and today he is meeting with Britain and they are telling the Americans there in particular not to protest Trump’s visit because we don’t want to have any riots on our hands.  All of the relations with our allies are strained, except of course for Saudi Arabia and Israel.  The girl who accused Emitt Till admits to lying about what happen when Till was lynched in 1955.  I just heard he got in trouble for whistling at her.  Dorthey got in trouble with whites for holding the door open for a Black man in their presence.  You don’t do that in South Carolina even today, or perhaps I should say, “particularly today”.  Getting back to President Trump he continues to be a bullshit artist.  Like I say my respect continues to drop by the day for him even after a steady three year decline.  Now he’s saying he had a great two day meeting with the NATO officials even though the thing was a disaster.  He insulted Germany in particular saying that they were held hostage to Russia because they get all of their energy from Russia with this new pipeline.  If it were me though I may recognize the problem I’d find another way to go about solving it.  He wants France and the other countries to start by paying two percent of their GNP to their own defense.  After a while he wants that boosted to four percent.  I’m a little surprised Trump is praising NATO at all since he feels more comfortable dealing with Putin than he does Western Europe.

Bret Cavana was picked for the Supreme Court justice to replace Kennedy.  They had his wife and daughters and they make a picture perfect family.  President Trump drew out the thing as long as he could with other intruductions before getting to the main event.  Brett was the odds on favorite to win the selection.  Bret Cavana was involved in the Bush verses Gore Florida election contraversy and also worked in the Bush administration.  I still don't know if overturning Roe verses Wade is a done deal.  There will sure be a lot of political pressure against it.  .You have three democrats threatening to vote for Cavanna and two women Republican senators threatening to vote against him.  Trump has been fortunate.  He has a lot of judgeships to fill because Mc Connell refused to confirm so many Obama appointments.  Also these Trump selections are young and will go on for decades influencing court decisions long after the voters have booted Trump out of office.

I had a dream I was in a computer and math class.  The teacher had talked about this certain brand of computer that had keyboard keys and various word commands that would do certain things.  But the biggest thing is that it had this progressive numbers routine based on a combination of prime numbers and the fifth roots of five like the fifth root of five and the 2.5 and 3.5ths root of five and so forth.  I was engrossed in what the teacher was sayig and I was asking him question.  Then a bunch of members of some church group I used to be a member of came in and Mom and Dad were there and they would accuse me of lobbing insultsat the group.  The harder I tried to not sound insulting, the worse it got.

It's been ten days since our last posting This may be a record amount of elapsed time.

.  Days of our Lives featured two key events.  Gabriel in addition to all her other problems now faces the possibility that she will be infertile because of this new infection she has from her prison beating.  Ever since that murder her life has been snake-bit.  She’s accused of one murder and does time.  Then they refuse to let her out until she gets one beating and then they threaten her again and they frame her for murder with that hypodermic needle.  If I were her I’d be looking for a good day to get revenge on all of her enemies.  She’s tried hard to be nice to Abigail but I wonder how she really feels.  And then there is of course Stephan.  The other news of the day is that Teresa was framed because drugs were planted in the apartment where she and J J were living.  This was just after she concluded an agreement with Brady for shared custody.  Eve is not her friend and she is someone that not even Brady should trust.  She and Victor conspired to plant those drugs at J J’s.

Say Good-bye to Roe vs Wade

Now I guess the women of America are in a fight for their lives so to speak on the abortion issue.  It's kind of like me and alcohol around here.  In January they made it legal to buy alcoholic beverages inthe place whee I live.  I haven't bought one bottle yet but I like the idea that if I ever needed to have a shot of something I would have that safety net where I could.  Now they are thinking of recinding that right.  With women they may be married with a family of  three or four kids and a cat, a dog and a canary but in the back of their minds they are thinking about that safety net of abortion just in case they get pregnent again and need to have an abortion.  It's like they may all be for marriage but they want to have the right to a divorce just in case.  Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy is resigning as of the end of July and he turned in his notice last week.  The timing of the case is interesting because a case is coming up this next court season where Kennedys son is involved in a banking dispute and the younger Kennedy is President Trump's banker and he loaned Trump  a billion dollars, which I guess is just pocket change to these people.  So Kennedy is resigning llike republicans around him wanted him to do so Trump would make the next appointee and get him approved before the November congressional election.  No matter what they say,  the Republicans must be in fear of both houses of congress going democratic this November or they wouldn't be in such a rush to get the next Justice appointee confirmed.  Of course you already know all this.  I didn't write last week because my mind is getting old and sluggish and I'm not keeping on top of things like I used to.  Mc Conell doesn't care about whether there is an election in a few months.  All he knows is that there is a 51 to 49 seat majority in the US Senate and he better act quickly.  Some people are saying that President Obama should have gotten Bryer and Ginsburg to retire a few years back when the democrats still had control of the senate and Obama could appoint new younger versions of Bryer and Ginsburg that wouldn't croke suddenly while in office.  Ginsburg in particular doesn't seem long for this world.  Trump may have his third appointee quicker than he thinks.  Of course Kennedy is the champion of things such as gay rights and abortion.  So there is a large constituincy out there that cam be mobelized against the President and his party right now and will work to elect democrats to congress.  Any democrat.  He or she doesn't need to be in either the Sanders wing of the party or the Hillary wing, just as long as they are democrats.  Joe Mansion and a few democratic senators will be voting for the next Trump appointee because they live in pro Trump states.  But there are Republicans like Lisa Marcosky and Susan Collins who are pro choice.

Personally, I don't like that term "pro choice" myself.  I'm "pro choice" when it comes to things like picking an internet provider or competetion for lower drug prices or going to Canada to buy my drugs.  I'm pro choice when it comes to diet or regular Cola.  But not for other things.  They would never speak or murder or child molestation people being "pro choice".   Basically I am in favor of eliminating Roe vs Wade, but I'm smart enough to know that I am in a definite minority in America.  Personally I don't think the Justices had any basis in law to overturn abortion laws in 1973.  I think the matter should be turned back to the states and let the people of these states decide whether they want abortion or not.  But they say it's a "right to privacy".  Again if I were a drug dealer I would love a "right to privacy to make my deals".  But I'm not going to get it.

LeBran James has joined the LA Lakers.  Maybe this MVP star can breathe some life into our loser of a Team we've had the past few years.  I guess we're all tired of seeing the same two teams competing in the NBC play-offs year after year and it's tie for a change.  Now all they need to do is break up the Golden State Warriors.  Years back James headed for the sunny shores of Miami.  Now he doesn't have the "Heat" to contend with.  He gets pleasant climate year round.  He will most certainly attain instant popularity we the LA Lakers fans welcome a winner.

I'd like to know how special prosecutor Muller is coming along with his investigation of the President.  This hot headed Republican committee chairman wants to know when the "damn investigation" is going to be wrapped up.  I too would like to see this case wrapped up before November so that it would be in the news headlines when people can go to vote.  The Republicans held one of their kangaroo courts last week where they were raking the FBI director and Rosenstein over the coals in a committee hearing trying to revive Hillary's E mails as an issue or smoething.  Now they are saying that there were pro Hillary people in the FBI who had unacceptable bias and lack of objectivity.  If Comey can stick it to Hillary two weeks before that election then Muller can stick it to President Trump this time around.  Of course we shouldn't have someone under investigation for colluding with the Russians to sabotage the 2016 elections even making court appointments because he would be picking the judge of a court that's going to hear his case and rule on things like evidence and indictments.  We keep hearing that ex attorney Koehn is going to flip and turn state's evidence.  I don't think that's happened yet.  This avalanche of indictments really hasn't started yet the way I'd like it to.  There as yet is no real fear in this administration and President Trump thinks he can beat the rap and escape all indictments.

Supreme Court End-of-year Rulings

President Trump said last week that he doesn’t believe these new refugees from Central America are entitled to due process of law in our courts but should be deported immediately.  He is of course wrong.  Thom Hartman points out that crossing the border is a misdemeanor and that if anything you should just pay a fine and go your way.  Or course you should be released on your own recognizance (OR) should you be imprisoned.  Aren’t they just supposed to give you a court date or something.  Stephanie Miller today was playing all of these clips of politicians and radio talk show hosts trashing President Obama calling him a socialist and such.  Apparently there are still 2300 children that haven’t been reunited with their parents.  They separated the boys and the girls and we don’t know where the girls are.  Today is primary day in many states including Utah where Mitt Romney is running to win a US Senate seat from Utah.  People like to take the pulse of the nation from these primaries to see what political direction the nation may be headed in.  Hopefully there is no “Death of the blue wave” paranoia we had one month ago.

This is Tuesday June 26, 2018 and the gardeners are working outside.  In keeping with my moral philosophy I think it was wrong for the Red Hen restaurant or whatever to kick out Trump’s WH Press Secretary.  I don’t believe it’s proper to deny service to someone because of their political beliefs in keeping with that letter to Tim I wrote last week.  But they were doing it to make a point.  I think ABC should rehire Rosanne Barr and reinstitute her hit show.  I was swayed by that interview with Rosanne that Rabi released last week but I already was of the belief that ABC went a little far in disgracing Rosanne to the extent they did.  She has apologized a million times over for the slip-up when she was on Ambien or whatever.  I don’t think the show will be damaged because the lead actress has some “off color” racial humor.  As you know I hardly ever watched the show then or recently.  But this is the summer rerun season and if they were to have new episodes now- - I would be more inclined to watch.

In other news the Supreme Court today has upheld the travel ban on Moslems instituted last year.  Just off hand I guess I agree with the court.  It’s kind of border-line what Trump’s racial motivations were.   Certainly Trump from the political stump has made remarks about “shutting the Moslems down”.  But there is another Supreme Court ruling that says in California you don’t have to be forced to give out PRO abortion material at a crisis pregnancy center.  I think you should live your conscience.  If you are anti abortion you should make that fact known.  But I guess the biggest and most embarrassing news for the president is that Harley Davidson is closing down plants in this country and setting up production in Europe so they don’t have to raise the price of their motorcycles.  Trump was so flattering to Harley Davidson and now it’s blown up in his face.  And I bet the biker vote will affect the election outcome in November.

I wanted to again talk about that article that says that atomic or subatomic particles “communicate” with each other at many times faster than the speed of light.  This means they don’t use “ether” as a mode of transmission as the usual radio waves and all the other radiation such as X Rays and light and microwave.   I used to believe in hyperspace.  Whether this is some hyperspace realm where geography (and geometry as we know it) have no bearing, I don’t know.  It could be just a much more etherial realm where a signal travels much faster.

It occurred to me that maybe the beliefs of Christianity developed much sooner than I have been saying the past dozen years or so.  (If not longer)  It could be that even in the time of Jesus that there was already arising a belief of some “ultimate sacrifice” that would “Put an end to sin” as it says in the book of Daniel.  Because it was an animal sacrifice, being an “animal” as Rush Limbaugh reminds us- - “animals” have no rights not even if that animal turns out to be the Son of God.  (What a juxtaposition in terms)  Therefore one should never question the justice of the crucifixion of Jesus on political or moral grounds, as would be one’s first impulse.  Jesus wasn’t dying as a fellow “innocent” human being entitled to certain rights, but rather as an article of pure sin or whatever they call a burnt offering.  People may have indeed looking for some innocent (ritually clean) human being who would offer himself as a sacrifice in this manner.  This is contrary to what I have believed but I have to face the fact that it’s possible.

Justice Neil Gorsich Wants to Rewrite the Fourth Amendment

First of all I hope we jumped to the right blog.  It's been a while since I have put out any blog.  I would like to summarize Trump's activities in the past week.  The immigration thing with the breaking up families has dominated the news.  Trump relents on Wednesday saying that he no longer favors the splitting up of immigrant families.  But now these children and particularly girls have been flown all over the country to remote cities, perhaps to be used in the sex trade.  Meanwhile now they are going to house the families on military bases.  Then Thursday morning Trump holds that press conference and praises the families of victims of murders committed by illegal aliens.  The media points out that illegal aliens commit fewer crimes on average than do the average American, but this fact would dampen Trump's fanning the fires of racial hysteria.  So Trump goes on and on in this press conference over the noon hour here talking about our brave men and women of law enforcement and how he's not really getting soft on immigration.   Congress failed in the passage of one hard line immigration bill on Wednesday by quite a bit.  It wasn't even close.  There was to be another vote on a more moderate bill on Thursday but Trump pulls the plug on that one at the last minute.  Trump says to wait till November to elect more republican congressmen.

Saudi Arabian women can now legally drive in that country now as of midnight last night.  But meanwhile other protests groups are being arrested.  This crown prince Solmon or whoever wants to loosen the nuce around women's necks just a little.  There is a hope of further reforms.  But driving is a major start, if this right isn't just as quickly recinded.

Neil Gorsuch was in the news today.  Apparently Gorsich wants to abolish or replace the fourth amendment of the constitution.  It's "repeal and replace" or something.  Last week the Supreme Court handed down a ruling that says the average American has privacy rights on their cell phones and they can't have their locations tracked by police without a warrent.  I think that's a pretty good idea.  Justice Roberts was the swing vote and also wrote the majority oppinion on the subject.  The final vote was five to four just like in the Obama Care ruling with the same justices on each side.  People who looked at Gorsich's dissenting oppinion states that his views are "radical" and not in line with any legal precident.  This is the justice we never should have had in the first place but Mc Connell would not vote on President Obama's pick after Scelia died in February of 2016.

A lady aid of Martin Luther King died this morning.  She was the one who actually typed out the "I Have a Dream" speech.  This is a speech where people should listen to the whole speech because the whole thing is good.  This same woman was with him next door at the Lauraine Hotel the early evening when Martin Luther King was shot in Memphis.  I guess she must have been a pretty important woman.  She died at age 88.

It was actually Robert Kennedy's gunning down by Sirhan Sirhan that changed American history for the worse on a pretty much permanent basis.  Trump won't talk about THAT kind of permanent change.  Because Robert Kennedy had a good or excellent chance of taking on Hubert Humphrey for the democratic nomination and also beating Nixon in the fall.  In any Nixon Kennedy race you know that the man named Kennedy is going to win.  He has all the charisma after all.  Who knows what course history would have taken after that.  But I could say the same thing about Bush v Gore in 2000 and the contested voter count in Florida.  Dorthey and I were just talking about that today.  History would have been so different.  We wouldn't have had the Mideast War and the federal deficet would not be sky high right now.

I think we have set a record.  This is the first blog post we have done in ten days since June 14th, which is longer than any other period.  There are still Word files I haven't copied over to this new computer.  I still need to copy files from mid December of 2014 to late June of 2016.  I am not happy with Word dropping all the nice letter facings of Word 2007 and Word 2003.  I don't know why they did that.  You can't use photographs in letters any more either.  But what you can do is to splice over sampler code from old files you have and the Word Art code will be intact and you can continue to change the letters to form new words.
