Finding Truely Inspiring Politicians

Ted Cruz is the first candidate to throw his hat in the presidential ring.  Ted Cruz today declared his candidacy for President at Liberty University.  Cruz was Harvard educated himself, a fact that he keeps well hidden.  So he knows better.  He knows “trickle down” has never worked in our history.  He knows revenue does not increase when you cut tax rates on the rich.  But he’s counting in the stupidity of his audience.  He’s a protégé of Paul Warwick that reverend who made the statement in 1980 about “The Goo-goo sindrone”.   He said “I don’t want good government.  I don’t want more people to vote.  Because I know that our influence over the American politick goes up as voter participation goes down”.   As late as 1999 Paul Warwick was still alive and good friends with Ted Cruz.  The whole issue about being born in Canada came up.  One Black called (I believe) pointed out that the first thing we have to resolve in the courts before we go any further is whether Ted Cruz is in fact a citizen or not.  Some liberals say “Well, let’s just let the voters decide in November”.   This approach may work for you and me but there has been no precedent set on this issue because no foreigner has ever run for President before.  Most people believe that “Natural born citizen” means “physically born in the United States”.   Before you joke too much about Ted Cruz as President, remember that they joked about Ronald Reagan too, and we all know how that turned out.  Ted Cruz is smarter than he looks, and therefore he’s dangerous, and needs to be watched closely.   Ted Cruz actually went over to the House and convinced THEM to shut down the government.  His behavior is highly bold and brash for a freshman senator- - highlighted by that one marathon filibuster.  One area where Ted Cruz is lacking is he doesn’t have the enormous net worth of other candidates.
Here are three incorrect statements Cruz made
  • Cruz railed against a “government … that seeks to ban our ammunition.” The Obama administration sought to ban a certain type of armor-piercing bullet, not all types of ammunition. The proposal has since been postponed.
  • Cruz claimed that as a result of the Affordable Care Act “millions … have lost their health insurance.” In fact, about 10 million people on net gained insurance between September 2013 and December 2014, according to the Urban Institute.
  • Cruz also claimed that as a result of the law “millions [have been] forced into part-time work.” There’s no solid figure on how many may have had their hours cut to part time, but one analysis of monthly labor surveys said the number was “likely” a few hundred thousand.
Texas is a messed up state.  The Supreme Court refused to hear a case by disenfranchised Wisconsin voters- - concerning Wisconsin’s new and restrictive voter registration laws.  Only in these times could a REFUSAL to hear a case be counted as GOOD news, because we know what sort of Empowerment this High Court has given restrictors of voting rights in the past.  As such before these bigots get new legal legs to stand on, it’s best not to even have the case.  There are always endless cases about Ten Commandments “monuments”.   My philosophy is- - that the state has free speech just like the rest of us.  If the State wants to promote religion- - or eating all your broccoli- - it’s their right.  But this Supreme Court WILL hear a case on- - should Texas issue license places honoring the Confederate Flag?  Strangely the state of Texas disallowed this type of “specialty” license plates.   The theory is that if license plates are your OWN personal speech, then they can say ANYTHING but if they are the responsibility of the State- - then the State has rights to offer up select “opinions” but not others, much as Windows gives you a choice of alternate colors other than default blue, but not that many.  For instance there are “Remember 9 – 11” license plates or Pro Life license plates, but Planned Parenthood has no license plate.  OK Ted Cruz’s father preaches something called “Dominion theology” which is condemned as Heretical in my own denomination.  Maybe we can forge a point of division here.

While listening to Shawn Hannity it dawned on me that we on the left have nothing like a Ted Cruz or any of them.  Shawn made it a point to say that all the candidates on the right have to be able to “inspire” conservatives with that particular type of inflamed rhetoric.  So you have all this talk about “Imagine there is no Health Care” or “Imagine a congress that actually insists on their constitutional rights” or “Imagine standing really tight with Israel”.   Or even ‘Imagine a balanced budget living within our means”, which of course translates to starve the poor and massive new tax breaks for the rich.  When you look at the income bracket break down-  - you see how poor the Average American is.  Even income in six digit territory above a hundred thousand dollars is getting up there, and $250,000 is really getting up there.  You can’t win an election on just these people.  What if the congress who set Federal Income Tax policy were made up of the same income distribution as the general population?  There is no candidate on the left that can inspire their own base like that.  To get as far to the left as Ted Cruz is to the right you’d have to be for abortion for eugenics reason for sex and eye color selection, you’d have to be for a socialized economy, you’d be for kicking Israel out of the UN, and you’d be for draconian energy regulations and massive productive cut backs, and you’d be outlawing sugary drinks and phasing out all meat consumption on a five year program.  Nobody on the progressive movement is suggesting going anywhere near that far.  It is enough to say "Well maybe we should occasionally "think" about how much of our grain goes to farm animals".  It is enough to say that "As a mental goal- we should shoot for wind and solar and tidal power".  It is enough to say “The United States is not an official Christian nation”.  It is enough to say "Maybe the Supreme Court isn't God when it comes to deciding which laws are "Unconstitutional".   John Lennon once said "You think you're so cleaver and classless and free".  But if we were to put that to the test- - gays wouldn’t be the only ones coming out of the closet.  What if an Atheist came out of the closet and ran for President?  What if Bush, Chaney, Rumsfeld, and Wolfiwitz were prosecuted in a Nurremburg court setting for their many war crimes against humanity?  I’d like to imagine that.  What if the Federal Reserve were audited?  I’d like to imagine that.  Lets raise or abolish the cap on FICA salary withholding to properly fund Social Security.  What if we followed Hartmann’s suggestion and had Medicare Part E, E for everybody?  What about some of Ron Paul’s ideas about more rights for felons out of prison so they can be more easily employed?  What about changing the Federal Government’s official position on marijuana?  What about a major federalization of the voter registration process since it’s been shown we can’t leave something that important to the States?  What about at last having publicly funded political campaigns?   What about going after these big time Banksters and Wall Street crooks, and returning to pre 1998 SEC regulations?  And how about saying to the banks “You must lend to people and let interest rates seek their own level”.  And if your candidate will not accept these basic principles, than find another candidate who will.
BEWARE PNAC in the years after of the September 11 Attacks, and during political debates of the War in Iraq, a section of  entitled "Creating Tomorrow's Dominant Force" became the subject of considerable controversy. The passage suggested that the transformation of American armed forces through "new technologies and operational concepts" was likely to be a long one, "absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor."[45] Journalist John Pilger pointed to this passage when he argued that Bush administration had used the events of September 11 as an opportunity to capitalize on long-desired plans.[48]  Some critics went further, asserting that  should be viewed as a program for global Americanhegemony. Writing in Der Spiegel in 2003, Jochen Bölsche claimed that "had been developed by PNAC for Rumsfeld, Cheney, Wolfowitz and Libby," and was "devoted to matters of 'maintaining US pre-eminence, thwarting rival powers and shaping the global security system according to US interests.'"[42][49] British MPMichael Meacher made similar allegations in 2003, stating that  was "a blueprint for the creation of a global Pax Americana," which had been "drawn up for" key members of the Bush administration.[

OK here are 42 reasons why George W Bush and Dick Chaney are war criminals and should be prosecuted in some International Court as such.  The magnitude of what this August 2006 article is implying is gargantuine.  I know that.  But long ago a not so wise man said "If you're going to tell a Lie, make it the biggest Whopper you ever heard, and tell it to the people often till they accept it as true.  So have we been told lie after lie about the 9 - 11 Attacks?  I think we have.  But nobody wants to talk about these days.  It seems "Conspiracy theories" are out of fashion even though in a poll 42% of the American people right now, don't believe or have major doubts about the "Official 9 - 11 Report" assuming they've even read it, which I confess, I haven't.  Intersecting Facts and Theories on 9/11,  And right there is the original link.
